If you did GCSEs between 1988 and 1990 which subjects did you do?

I can't for the life of me remember all of my subjects. I know I did 10 but I've lost one.

Could you list yours for me in case it jogs my memory. I sat my GCSEs in 1989.

I did: maths, AO maths (not technically a GCSE!), physics, chemistry, biology, English lit, English Lang, French, Latin, RS, history, geography - 2 maths, 2 English, 2 languages, 3 sciences, 3 humanities.

I did AO Maths but I thought that was separate. Could there have been two different maths and AO maths?

I'm a bit worried that my brain has dumped this important information (and that my parents dumped everything in their loft including exam certificates without going through it when they moved)

Or a technology? IT, graphics etc
Or a CDT? woodwork/metalwork thing?

I remember that I only had two options and that I chose business studies and French (second language).

I went to a comprehensive school that wanted everyone to keep a broad range of subjects going hence two combined sciences rather than chemistry biology and physics and integrated humanities rather than history, geography etc. I have vague recollections of doing some home ec, IT, art, design lessons but I thought that was in the first to third year and not for GCSE.

Aagh, Ive been trying to remember for days and it doesn't seem to be coming back. Neither does there seem to be any way to find out. My school no longer exists.

You can contact exam boards and ask for certificates?

Does it matter though? I don't list my GCSEs seperatly on my CV any more....just put 9x GCSEs at grade A-c inc maths and English.

I guess no it doesn't really matter. I run my own business and so don't need a job and have a degree and post grad qualifications and so nobody is going to be interested in whether I did GCSE home economics but its driving me absolutely mad. How can I have done a subject for two years and blocked it out. Confused

On the basis that the school was trying to be sensible for us and keep out options open by insisting on a broad range I'm wondering whether it was possibly IT

I did IT. Constructing rudimentary databases in software that I've never seen since.

Everyone took the first seven and then you could choose the last two or three:

Latin or Geography
One of German, Music, Art, Home ec. If you picked Music, Art or Home ec you did History as well.

See this is a problem with being a crammer. I have always been good at doing very little work throughout a course and then cramming it in and regurgitating it for an exam. But then its gone again very quickly..

Ah well, whatever it was I got a B in it, I know that much.
