I am pleased that finally there is a piece of evidence highlighting that grammar schools do improve performance for middle ability pupils.

All the evidence given on these threads has been to continually state the case for Comprehensive education.

anon123456 Fri 14-Oct-16 17:09:24 Wouldn't it be good ... If we let them fly they will make achievements that benefit the whole of society.

No school will ensure this, only the life choices those DCs make will.

I also think it is rediculous to try to suggest DCs of middle and low academic ability don't go on to do things that benefit the whole of society.

Middle It's not your fault you live in a grammar area. Let's just hope they don't create any more.

Middle Don't be hard on yourself - the pro-grammar lobby has powerful voices trying to persuade us that those left behind don't matter - we are all primarily focussed on our own kids and it's easy to listen to their siren voices!

If you want to take further action the pro-comprehensive campaign groups are always very keen to hear from people with actual experience of the system. Try E-Mailing these people comprehensivefuture.org.uk/

They recently organised a meeting in the H of C between people like yourself and various MPs and peers so they can get your voice heard.
