Delighted for you, TeddingtonMum! And a major well done to your DS!

Teddingtonmum1 · 29/01/2014 21:55

though still no letter from whitgift I think that is really bad .

pooziepuzzle · 29/01/2014 21:57

Congrats Teddingtonmum! Fab news! Did you know results would be out earlier?

woodcote75 · 29/01/2014 22:01

Really bad on the W front! It's not a difficult task to just let everybody know instead of keeping 9/10 year olds hanging!

Teddingtonmum1 · 29/01/2014 22:01

Thanks ms muck & steptoe am not looking forward to the 7 years in poverty though !!! bursary yet to be finalised tho but they have my paperwork and made it very clear am not expecting 100% but realistically need at least 70 % so more finger crossing jeez glad I don't have to do this again !! Good to luck to everyone still waiting for a yes ...

AliceLostinWonderland · 30/01/2014 13:00

Oh I am so happy for you Teddingtonmum - well done to your DS and especially to YOU Thanks!

ladydepp · 30/01/2014 15:55

Really pleased to hear your news teddingtonmum - hope the home visit goes well.

I was so relieved that my DS made it through the whole exam/assessment/interview process without getting ill. Literally the day after his last interview he started sneezing. He now has a full-on cold, his immune system is obviously on our side!

MrsSteptoe · 30/01/2014 16:07

DS on his way to his last interview at St Benedict's. Now all I have to do is try to stop either fantasising about showing up at his school at lunchtime to give him glad tidings about an offer from one of his preferred schools, or fantasising myself into near-hysteria about having to tell him that five interviews (one of which was Emanuel, who interview everybody) have resulted in five rejections.

15 days of insanity to go.

irisha · 30/01/2014 16:12

We are done too, and I don't think we could have done another one. DD has been getting pretty sick of talking about her hobbies, favourite books, and changes she'd made if she were Prime Ministe/HM of her school/etc. Last interview was at Alleyn's today - now just waiting...

Stressedbutblessed · 31/01/2014 02:37

Yep just waiting for 14th- DH suggested an early valentines just in case !
Good luck everyone - it's such a lotteryHmm

Lfs2126 · 31/01/2014 09:28

good luck guys and guyettes! posting now because otherwise I'll forgetSmile. even if its bad news its really not the end of the world( sometimes I look at my bank statements & think what else we could have done with all that moneyHmm ..

Teddingtonmum1 · 31/01/2014 11:45

Looking at my bank account whilst its still in credit !!

WIPMOM · 31/01/2014 11:56

MrsSteptoe · 31/01/2014 12:03

Thinking of all the mums waiting for a CLSB interview. Good luck, WIPMOM and others...

pooziepuzzle · 31/01/2014 16:41

Anyone know if Whitgift are still interviewing next week?

dippingbackin · 31/01/2014 19:54

DS had last interview at KCS today. Actually looking forward to two weeks of nothing to plan for. Might even learn something new at school now this is all over.

Fingers crossed for everyone on the 14th Feb.

TCofB · 31/01/2014 20:33

pooziepuzzle - as far as I am aware last day of interviews at W was Wednesday this week

pooziepuzzle · 31/01/2014 21:14

Thanks TCof B

LadyMuck · 01/02/2014 12:33

That seems almost a week earlier than they expected as they had mothers on call as hostesses until this week? Intriguing!

OP posts:
Croydonmumtods · 01/02/2014 16:22

ladymuck not sure where you got info on W interviews but original request for help hostessing was for dates 15th to 31st Jan. I did hear that interviews appeared to have finished on Wednesday 29th but this would be only 2 days earlier then expected not a week. Also doubt any of this is carved in stone so may be odd interviews still ongoing. Really don't think it's quite as intriguing as you may think.

Somelikeithott · 01/02/2014 19:59

In the school calendar for the term, which the boys ( and parents ) were given at start of term, it has 29th of January published as last day of interviews. Although they did request help until the 31st as Croydonmum has said. It is not unusual for them to request an for an extra couple of days, in case they need to add more days on, if people can't make appointments, bad weather ( as we've had last couple of years) etc.
