Idris I challenge you to go to a local charity shop and spend under £5 then see how much profit you can make!

6 items have one bid now.

You all seem to be doing really well!

I've not listed for a few weeks now, but I'm planning on getting back into it over the weekend and listing loads! Fingers crossed I can make a bit more before Xmas!

ElizabethWakefield · 17/11/2009 20:17

I am a namechanger BTW, used to be someone else on this thread!

Tortoise · 17/11/2009 20:57

Any clues Elizabeth?
Have been asked if i would do a BIN on Simpsons chess. I have said yes and asked them to make an offer!

ElizabethWakefield · 17/11/2009 20:59

You have bought some things from me in the past wheelies and a skirt I think

Tortoise · 17/11/2009 21:32

Aha . Any reason for name change? DD1 still love her heely shoes. She will need bigger ones soon, i know she will want more! She wants to get as good as her big brother.

OP posts:
ElizabethWakefield · 17/11/2009 21:34

Heelies!! I couldn't remember the name of them!

The Daily mail got hold of one of my threads and were going to do an article on it and print everything so I had to get everything deleted and start again!!

Tortoise · 17/11/2009 21:42

Was there no way of not giving permission? Very unfair of you to have to delete everything.

OP posts:
Tortoise · 17/11/2009 21:46

Woo Hoo! One of the V.smile games sold on BIN

OP posts:
ElizabethWakefield · 17/11/2009 21:51

No because it is in the public domain. It was about DD's school and I think it would have been pretty obvious to other parents at the school that it was our school, IYKWIM, so i didn't want that thread linked to all my other threads on here, so 5 yrs of stuff had to be deleted!!

Well done on the sale

Tortoise · 17/11/2009 22:01

That's terrible. I thought MN were going to do something to try and stop the DM being able to use MN threads. Did you contact MNHQ?

I saw you had disappeared EW and wondered what had happened. Glad you are back although not good all your postings had to go.

IdrisTheDragon · 18/11/2009 08:55

Have discovered a vintage fashion wheel so will list that sometime. Have 3 days work this week and DS's birthday on Sunday with party on Saturday so am a little busy at the moment

Grufflemummy · 18/11/2009 09:46

Have been semi-lurking on here, and trying to get myself organised....

Have finally got some things listed (mainly because it was free listing day sunday so made myself do it)... don't think I'll manage £300 by christmas LOL, but am hoping to make something, just to fund other purchases

Got quite a few watchers though, so fingers crossed... I would welcome any constructive criticism on my listings though! I usually use a template, but lost it when my PC died, so just using plain auctions.

(Sorry, an a regular, but don't want to out myself [paranoid])

Tortoise · 18/11/2009 10:25

Hi Gruffle. Hope you get some bids.

2nd V.smile game ended on BIN.

OP posts:
mogs0 · 18/11/2009 12:10

Idris - what's a vintage fashion wheel?

Elizabeth - Hi! I drift in and out of these challenges so not sure who you were before but good luck with your listing! I still have so much to get rid of but can't seem to do anything when I have an auction running - my aim was to list a few things everyday so it's not so much of big job but once one lots are live I spend the whole time checking for bids/watchers!

Gruffle - I wish I had a little girl - those outfits are gorgeous!!! They look like they're going to sell well!

Tort - well done on the 2nd v-smile!

I have one more bid and quite a few watchers but need to crack on and get listing! (I'm sure I say that in ever one of my posts!)

NickNemo · 18/11/2009 12:27

Gruffle, I love your coat... I wish I could buy it my DD would look adorable in it, but she's a bit big for it now

NickNemo · 18/11/2009 13:32

Finally listed the J Junior coat here Hope it sells well. Fingers crossed.

Tortoise · 18/11/2009 16:36

Please help me make a decision!
Have been asked about BIN on the fibre optic snowman which has 6 watchers and they also want the spiderman DVD. I would be happy to do one on the DVD but not sure about the snowman.
WWYD?

Have bids and watchers on the pj's but no one seems to want my boden top. I fell out of love with it before I even wore the thing!! "hereshop.ebay.co.uk/lrud3454/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340

Am looking at Turbo Trainers for DH for his christmas present - anybody a cycling expert?

I know nothing about cycling and may have to brave the cycle shop for this one..

NickNemo · 18/11/2009 19:31

Tortoise, do a BIN if there are watchers but no bids. If anything, it spurs on a bidder.

IdrisTheDragon · 18/11/2009 23:34

This is a fashion wheel. I had one when I was younger

janx · 19/11/2009 13:32

my first item ended with no bidders ...have others on - one has 20 watching but only 3 bids - do they all wait til the end and then bid like crazy....me thinks hopefully

Tortoise · 19/11/2009 16:47

Items doing OK so far. 15 will sell, 20 bids overall. All end tomorrow night.

OP posts:
Tortoise · 19/11/2009 16:53

Ok scrap that! 16 will sell 21 bids lol!
