Summer Ebay Challenge!!! Shall we try for another £300?

I need motivating to de-clutter and make my bank account look a bit healthier!!! I've got loads of bags and boxes packed with car-boot stuff that didn't sell the other week so might start with that and list those things at 99p just to make a bit of space.

Anyone with me? Shall we set the deadline for end of Summer term (about the 18th July here)?

Have a few bits to list tonight. Going to put on some next baby boys stuff, and some plus size womans clothing. Any idea if they do well?

notcitrus · 19/07/2009 19:05

Didn't get your top, hippo - I bid my highest so never mind. Glad you got a good price for it. My Monsoon dress just went for £12 so that's nice. I reckon I've made about £500 net since Christmas - which would be a holiday if we were having one. As it is, it's about 1/2 the bannisters up to the loft...

Ma - plus size clothes do well (although postage tends to cut into that), but baby stuff tends not to because there's so much of it. 'Bundles' of baby clothes are much more likely to actually sell but you don't get much unless they're excellent brands and condition.

Tortoise · 19/07/2009 21:00

Couple more DVD's sold.
Have listed/re-listed items.
looky here!

MaDuggar · 19/07/2009 21:33

ohh Tortoise! I am watching your pokemon stuff! My wee girl would be thrilled if I won that for her

here are my new items for sale ...

new stuff

have listed the baby clothes as bundles, thanks for that tip!

mel1981 · 19/07/2009 22:08

Oooohh am watching your big bundle MaDugger- if I can afford it.
people really should stop putting their ebay stuff on here its too tempting!!!
Made another £20ish the other night. got a ps2 game refunded to me for £8 as it was scratched-so I saved there too.
Got a few bids and more watchers on what I have left and really need to get in the loft so I can list more junk stuff.

MaDuggar · 20/07/2009 05:35

hee hee i have been on a scavange hunt round the house too - the kids had better pin anything down that they want to keep! lol!

Tortoise · 20/07/2009 10:54

Ma Good luck on the Pokemon stuff. I think DS1 has some cuddly Pokemon that hopefully he will be willing to part with plus i have 100s of pokemon cards to chuck on in a bundle!

Some items end tonight. 2 have a bid.

MaDuggar · 20/07/2009 11:04

My DD is an absolute Pokemon nut! So I will be keeping an eye on nay listings you have

I have a few watchers, no bids. How long do you put your stuff on for?

Tortoise · 20/07/2009 12:49

DS1 was a Pokemon nut!
I normally list for 7 days.

Tortoise · 20/07/2009 20:41

5 items ending tonight, 3 will sell so far.
Lots of Pokemon listed! DS1 hopes they sell well so that he has some money to spend on holiday.

MaDuggar · 21/07/2009 12:05

I have a few bids and I am making £5.10

SNOWBall4girlz · 21/07/2009 20:56

I havea few bits ending tonight
slow at the mo

DebsCee · 22/07/2009 02:14

Hi, would love to join this thread, you all seems to be doing well considering it's so quiet on ebay at the mo.

I'm listing all sorts of odds and ends and having a massive clear-out raising some funds for my son.

Just need some motivation to list the remaining 30 things tomorrow - it seems to take all night!

my stuff here

Wuxiapian · 22/07/2009 12:41

A few of my bits.

SNOWBall4girlz · 22/07/2009 17:50

hi everyone waves

well I sold a set of t-shirts last night but the buyer does not want to pay the international signed for (

I do not want to send without as many items go missing and I cannot afford to lose a fiver not alot but alot to me iykwim.

would rather just let the next bidder have them need to take the international postage of the listings.

ooh well off to list some more stuff

SNOWBall4girlz · 22/07/2009 17:51

waves is not a link

MaDuggar · 22/07/2009 18:59

ha ha it took me to some music website

please make sure you do a non-paying ebayer dispute, to stop these people doing it again & again

mel1981 · 22/07/2009 22:49

I had someone win my buggy board on BIN they messaged straight away to say they could collect, but I only got the email a few hours later. I repied and said i'd be in all day or we can rearrange. Never heard anything so about 6days later messaged her for her to reply- she said she never received a message from me and thought i wasnt interested in selling it! (...er why would it be on ebay then?) and she no longer wanted it as someone had already brought her one! GRRR
Anyway sold a few more bits, made about £35-£40 and managed to buy my boys bunk beds today!!! So that was my main target! just gotta wait for them to be delivered now!
Sold 3 old mobiles on the mobile recycling sites and made £50 in argos vouchers to go towards a new mattress too.
Got someone reinsulating loft next wed so will prob unearth tonnes more junk thats been stashed away! so will have to think of my next thing to save for now.

DebsCee · 23/07/2009 03:16

I've done OK tonight and made £55 to add to the other £50 I made earlier this month. Lots of auctions still ongoing but much smaller lower value stuff now.

Anyone else finding that midweek is doing just as well as Sunday/Monday? I'm doing much better than normal by ending listings later in the evening but on a Tues, Weds and Thursday.

notcitrus · 23/07/2009 16:26

I found ending any day except Friday or Saturday evening does well.

Now need to find more stuff to get rid of. Sadly NrNC won't let me chuck lots of stuff, and most of our outgrown baby stuff has to go back to the ILs...

MaDuggar · 23/07/2009 21:37

Mine all end Friday evening

Tortoise · 23/07/2009 22:05

I have added a couple more items including a Pokemon DVD! looky here

Lilyloo · 23/07/2009 22:17
