Summer Ebay Challenge!!! Shall we try for another £300?

I need motivating to de-clutter and make my bank account look a bit healthier!!! I've got loads of bags and boxes packed with car-boot stuff that didn't sell the other week so might start with that and list those things at 99p just to make a bit of space.

Anyone with me? Shall we set the deadline for end of Summer term (about the 18th July here)?

DS1's bike sold for £29.55
Mine sold for £23.
Really pleased with that. Would have liked a few more of the watchers to bid though lol!
Money will be going away for summer hols.

notcitrus · 21/06/2009 21:33

Added a few more bits on Thursday - have bids on 2 for £3 altogether. see here

Got rid of loads of empty boxes today to a friend who is moving house, and found that one huge box of stuff is in fact stuff belonging to my ex-tenant, who will collect it soon. So good on the decluttering there.
And a friend may buy the laptop that didn't get paid for.

SNOWBall4girlz · 23/06/2009 00:41

here

well done tortoise listing loads this week she says all helps

notcitrus · 23/06/2009 16:22

snowball do you have a model number or anything on that Bose sound mixer? A quick Google suggests a 400 watt mixer may be $300 second hand, but people would only pay that if they knew exactly what they were getting.

I bet if you add more detail to that listing you could make a fair bit on it.

SNOWBall4girlz · 23/06/2009 21:03

notcitrus thankyou

I am going to have to look at it a bit more closely I can put lots of pics on through photobucket a couple more items added

peppa pig slippers summer dress guess what I am doing tonight ;)

Tortoise · 24/06/2009 10:12

Hope to list more items tonight.
Have been slacking rather alot!

mel1981 · 24/06/2009 20:52

Yay... have made £35 through buy it now items tonight. managed to list some dvds last night and found out loads more stuff to list (not sure if thats a good thing or not though LOL)

Tortoise · 24/06/2009 21:22

I was hoping to list tonight. Where has the time gone? Can't really start now or end times will be too late.
Maybe tomorrow.......

notcitrus · 25/06/2009 19:23

It's free listing on Ebay today!

Managed to put up a few more techy bits, but not expecting more than £30 for the lot.

Tortoise · 25/06/2009 20:47

Lots relisted plus listed DS2's old bike. Then i can get him a bigger one.
I don't know if i should relist all those books again or offer them on MN. Would be happy with a pound each plus postage.

Tortoise · 26/06/2009 18:45

Just sold DS2s bike for £35 on a BIN.

Tortoise · 27/06/2009 12:57

Bloody Ebay! I have been left a neutral feedback. Her comment was item 'OK ITEM,NO COMMS I HAD TO CONTACT REGARDING DESPATCH.

OK maybe i should have emailed when her cheque arrived but i didn't think of that!
I replied to ALL her emails said yes cheque arrived will send once cleared. I sent item around 5 days after paying cheque into the bank.
Stupid cow!

SNOWBall4girlz · 27/06/2009 16:15

thats not really fair tortoise if she paid by cheque she should realise it takes longer

plus if I were her I would have asked how soon after recieving cheque would you be posting,

as some people do not get to the bank ever day and you cannot assume but buyers are arsey sometimes, I take it she did not contact you before leaving the feedback?

SNOWBall4girlz · 27/06/2009 16:17

I have three bids 20 watchers and a big bag of stuff to list
was going to do a car boot tomorrow but keeps raining here

Tortoise · 27/06/2009 20:32

SNOW No she didn't email before leaving feedback. I have emailed her and replied to feedback.

Have sorted out some bits to list including DD2's big ride on digger. Completed listing for same item show good prices paid. So fingers crossed. Also cleaned up another boys bike and DD1's old Dora bike. Will list with a well used Dora scooter as a freebie. Hopefully they will all sell.

mel1981 · 28/06/2009 11:22

Sold 3 items for £25 last night (not inc P&P) have a few watchers on the rest and couple of small bids and still loads to list- just keep finding more to add to my ebay pile.
I sent a cheque once and the seller sent the item before she even recieved my cheque!-she must be very trusting (not that theres noting to trust about me ) But I would never send an item until cheque had cleared. You done the right thing tortoise and she was out of order to leave neutral feedback for that.

Tortoise · 28/06/2009 12:50

Thanks Mel That is reassuring.

3 watchers on DD2's digger already. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for a good price on that. She hardly used it.

SNOWBall4girlz · 29/06/2009 12:42

well tortoise I am having a dilemma
see my thread

what to do could go higher she raly needs the money

this is a mixer desk

Tortoise · 29/06/2009 12:51

Replied on thread SNOW. Although i am not much help lol!

I had a reply from the buyer that left neutral feedback.
I was told the item had white hairs on and should have been washed before sending! (It was washed, damn dog!) Then she claimed i said i would post Mon then changed it to Tues. Ha! Checked my emails and i said 'Will be posting tomorrow' on a reply email sent on a Mon! She also said depending on feedback and amount, she sends items as soon as cheque recieved.

SNOWBall4girlz · 29/06/2009 13:10

Tortoise · 29/06/2009 13:25

Aims That sounds good. Must make it worth having a contract when you can sell old phones on.

DD2's digger has a bid and 13 watchers. Fingers still crossed for a good price!

I had 7 watchers on an item the other night but got no bids at all
DVDs run out tonight got 3 with bids about £10 in total so far- got 30 mins to an hour left and sold desperate housewives box set on BIN for £9 earlier.
As for the rest loads of watchers but only a few bids so fingers crossed.
Good luck with the digger tortoise and the phone aimsmum.
