tortoise · 24/11/2008 20:42

Lilyloo Unfortunatly for you DD2 is 4 and would probably have any dresses i bought lol! But will keep an eye out anyway!
I do have a nice adults monsoon dress to list but waiting for friends mum to sew strap back on for me!

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 24/11/2008 20:52

thanks for letting me snowball . Don't worry about waiting for the neutral/neg - I've got a load of feedback due to me - with at least 2 more items selling this coming weekend so I'm sure when it finally comes it will get bumped down pretty quickly

Oh and I have 3 watchers on the music now

Lilyloo · 24/11/2008 20:53

oh well if you see two

tortoise · 24/11/2008 21:06

lol ok

Happy Land stuff looks set to sell for just £8 Only has 4 watchers. Oh well, it was a gamble i took!
Hopefully the nappies will make up for it lol!
Already into profit from the 20Q and the tractor!

Lilyloo · 24/11/2008 21:11

At least you didn't put it on for fiver !!
Some you win bloody postage costs maybe you can still get courier for cheaper (bit naughty but hey )

tortoise · 24/11/2008 21:17

Well, it went for £8! Buyer has 0 feedback and has recently changed user id. Hope it will work out ok.

Lilyloo · 24/11/2008 21:18

Hope so Tortoise same as my Pokemon buyer

tortoise · 24/11/2008 22:07

Please tell me what you would do!

Heelys listed at £17.99 BIN/best offer.
Offer made of £12.
Counter offer by me £15.
Counter offer by them £13.

Do i go for £14? Or accept £13 which is a fair amount lower than the BIN price.
WWYD?

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 25/11/2008 12:02

ermm - pass tortoise.

Oh feck - I've got "reduced" search standing because of dispatch time. Needs to be 4.4 for "standard" - but it's down to 4.1. All because my feckig kids were ill

tortoise · 25/11/2008 12:43

Oh FAQ thats not good . I thought you were within your 5 days in the end? Stupid buyers!

Come on tell me what you would do if it was your item? Have until tonight to decide!

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 25/11/2008 12:46

I was 1 day late with posting some of the stuff -but not all. And I emailed ALL of the buyers to explain that I would be possibly 1 day later than my 5 day dispatch

Your item - well if it was me I'd take the offer - but then I'm selling my stuff for whatever people are offering - just to get rid of it (and of course the cash is a bonus )

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 25/11/2008 12:56

oh, and in the email I sent out to everyone while I was still well within the 5 day dispatch I said I would posted it on Thursday or Friday - and everything was posted on Friday so I did as I said I would then

tortoise · 25/11/2008 13:19

If i had bought from you i would be perfectly happy with that. At least you let your buyers know. I always forget to!

Nappies have a bid already!

tortoise · 25/11/2008 13:47

Accepted the offer. Better to get a bit less than not sell at all i suppose! And i did only pay 99p for them!!

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 25/11/2008 13:54

yay

Perhaps I shouldn't have just said I'm unable to get out because of "sick children" - perhaps I should have divulged the information that I couldn't go out because I had 2 children that had both nearly been admitted to hospital - and I'm sorry but when the Community Paediatric Nurse says "don't take them out" (and as I was supposed to be picking up my BF's DD from school at the time she came round said I wasn't taking them out but she would break the "rules" and stay in my house with them) I was hardly going to argue.

Lilyloo · 25/11/2008 16:18

what a pain GF some buyers really do think you are running a shop and not just clearing things out and still have day to day life.
Anyone help with this
Having bad day today our old rabbit as had to be put to sleep and dc's very upset!

Lilyloo · 25/11/2008 16:19

Tortoise i cannot believe how good your charity shop is. Think al the assistants are too clued up at mine to get any bargains!

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 25/11/2008 16:24

yeah a right PITA - oh well never mind, hopefully they'll look at my feedback (up to 104 now ) and see that they're positive comments about me and not take too much notice of the low dispatch time score I currently have .

I just hope this "lower" search standing doesn't affect the stuff I currently have listed............

PersephoneSnape · 25/11/2008 16:53

really MUSt join in with this - I have £277 in my paypal since this started ( I lurked!) but have £80 in ebay fees to pay, I think i'll do a ten day listing some time this week - do people think a thursday listing ending on a sunday around 8pm works well? or should i just bung them on for a midweek ending? mostly baby/childrens clothes and ladieswear...

tortoise · 25/11/2008 17:20

How does lower search standing work? Surely if someone puts the right key words in your items will still come up?

One of the charity shops is very good generally. The other one (That the happy land stuff was from) is much more expensive. Often far too expensive for a charity shop!

5 watchers on the nappies now!

Xmas tree ends tonight. just the one bid.

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 25/11/2008 17:23

Search Standing

As an eBay seller, your visibility in Best Match search results depend on the quality of customer service you offer. By clicking the Search standing button of the dashboard summary, you can see whether you have Standard or Lowered Search standing. You can also see how your rating is calculated using your buyer satisfaction and detailed seller ratings.

To qualify for a Standard standing, make sure your ratings meet or exceed the required minimum levels in Detailed Seller Ratings. You can see the minimum levels and how your business compares to them on the Search standing summary.

A Lowered standing indicates that you have not been successful in providing eBay buyers with good customer service. If you get this standing, your listings may receive lower placement in search results sorted by Best Match. But you can take positive steps to improve your customer service and increase your ratings.

tortoise · 25/11/2008 17:54

Oh i see. I always search by ending soonest not best match.
I have 4.6 for despatch time and 4.7 for the rest.

tortoise · 25/11/2008 21:10

Xmas tree sold for a whole £6! Just the one bidder! Same bidder bought the powertouch and is bidding on the snoring reindeer which still has 3 day left on it!
