Dc are going to want a Wii and Wii fit and god knows what else for christmas and i`m paying off some debts at the mo, so is anyone up for an ebay challenge to help spur me on to make this money ! x

I've got 1 bid on one of my items ending on Sunday (all stuff I've relisted) - which last time it was listed only had 2 hits let alone anything else lol.

1 watcher on another item, 17 items in total - hopefully I'll sell a few more.

What's the Turbo Listing? and am I right in thinking - I can't take my Paypal money out till I get pos. feedback?

Do you recommend starting at 99p?

Turbo lister is software that you can download from ebay and it lets you create and save your listings before having to upload to ebay. I'm sure there's a better way of describing it!! I use it for all my listings. I've recently discovered the listing designer is free if you do it on TL but you get charged if you use it through ebay.

You don't have to wait for feedback before you can transfer your money. Although, I once used the money to pay for something else and the item I'd sold got lost in the post. I had to transfer money from my bank account back to paypal to be able to give the refund and it took ages so maybe wait until you know the buyer has received the item before transferring the money.

I was going to leave all the Ebay money in Paypal till there was a decent amount anyway. Only sold 1 thing so far for a fiver - not worth rushing for!

Managed to list a bunch of stuff for the first time since 2004 (when failing to understand Paypal resulted in us giving away a couple items as we'd only have made 20p on them, but were only really doing it for feedback).

Sold one item already as a BIN and been paid, and another £50 in bids! Plus 49 watchers!! Hard not to compulsively hit Refresh...

Annoyingly I've lost the memory card for my camera and MrNC's card won't get read by my computer, so can't put the next lot of crap unwanted lovely items up.

I know what you mean about hitting refresh!! I have to move away from the pc as it's the only way I can stop myself looking and counting bids/watchers (£47 and 89 watchers BTW!!).

Can you take pics with your mobile? My friend has sent me a couple of photos of things she wants me to sell via MMS. I then MMS them to my email address, save and upload to listing. It helps that I get loads of inclusive texts with my mobile!

I'm still debating whether to put more items on on Sunday for a week. Is it too close to Christmas? I might just put them on Turbo Lister then decide on Sunday.

Bother - the BIN dress cost £1.23 more to post than I'd charged in p+p. I did weigh it and other items a while back but obviously lost the paper since. And forgot to consider the weight of the jiffy bag.

Hope I haven't underestimated the p+p of my other items too badly. Still, it's £12.77 towards Christmas...

What a pain about the postage. I did that on last week's stuff. Only made 40p profit each on about 5 items!!

I keep expecting my listings to have a massive jump in bids but it keeps telling me the same as it did yesterday........maybe it's not working properly!!! I'd better go and press refresh a couple more times to check!!

I'm now up to £335!! I had a couple of disappointing auctions but also a couple that did better than expected.

I can picture the ladies at the post office arguing over who is going to serve me tomorrow!!!

oh and I couldn't wait until the 25th to show DS1 his cars top - he was feeling bit gloomy after he came back from exH's last night (wanted to stay longer) so I showed him it - and his face lit up enough to light the entire country

Oh - and you'll never guess what else was delivered to me on Saturday morning............the fan heater that I refunded the money on as it hadn't been delivered, had a "didn't call to collect" thingy on it - so I'm guessing they left a card and he didn't bother to go and pick it up. So at least I still have it to relist

Odd - I listed a corset with a BIN, but now someone's made a bid the BIN has disappeared and I paid for it. Now someone's asking if I'll do a BIN. Argh!

Can you not have a BIN and bidding?

I think BIN only stands until someone places a bid (if you've opted for BIN and Auction)

Yes, I found the help page and indeed once thre's a bid, a BIN offer vanishes and you can't shorten the auction. Hopefully the person who wanted to BIN will be willing to bid £50 - I offered next day delivery.

But I've received payment for all items sold so far, and with the ones ending tonight have made £100, even without the new auctions, which have watchers. Except the singing poo. Funny that.

Tort for you what a nightmare they have no idea of the logisitcs of sorting out dc's etc.
