Ok she's replied.. she's saying..

"hi, If your still interested could you send a postal order of £12
to
(name and address)

as we have someone who is willing to pay £12.thanks.you are getting a good deal as these cats are £40 in all the shops."

WHAT??! I paid her immediately by Paypal!

I have replied

" OK. You can't actually do that. You are required by law to send the item to me at the price it sold. I paid you immediately by PayPal.

If you do not honour this agreement I will report you to Ebay and open a PayPal dispute against you"

I hope you haven't given her feedback yet!

Because I'd save all that and give her negative, anyway.

And when she sends the item, I'd still report her to Ebay.

katw3kitts · 14/07/2008 23:18

The cheek of some people .......

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 14/07/2008 23:21

I don't think she's going to send it.. do you..?

Why is she asking for a postal order? She said she accepted Paypal! so we PAID by Paypal!

Have also just sent her this..

"Seller Non-performance ? Sellers must honour the transaction contract. Sellers cannot fail to deliver an item for which payment was accepted, significantly misrepresent an item by not meeting the terms and item description outlined in the listing, or refuse to accept payment for an item at the end of a successful sale."

that she tried to use ebay to sell off line too

expatinscotland · 14/07/2008 23:22

I'd be surprised if she sent the item.

Good thing you did pay through PayPal and can get your money back.

ShinyPinkShoes · 14/07/2008 23:23

What was her feedback rating.

What an awful seller

Desiderata · 14/07/2008 23:23

This is exactly why I don't use eBay any more.

It's shit. The lunatics have taken over the asylum, and the management have no idea what to do about it.

SNoraWotzThat · 14/07/2008 23:24

Sellers can't leave neg feedback anymore.
Buyers can. It changed recently.

I think your email was ideal TBH.

SNoraWotzThat · 14/07/2008 23:24

Shit desi it looks like Im stalking you again. Have you come in from work?

boocha · 14/07/2008 23:28

SHPHH,
How does that CAT work then do I have to subscribe? (thick!)

Desiderata · 14/07/2008 23:29

Ah, but what a lovely stalker

No, I've been home all day, pretty much.

davidtennantsmistress · 14/07/2008 23:30

i'd open the dispute now tbh and escalate straight to claim - I don't think you'll get it and if she clears her account you won't get your money.

expatinscotland · 14/07/2008 23:31

very good point, DTM.

harpsichordcarrier · 14/07/2008 23:32

oh dear lord. no she isn't going to send it.
ditch out now, I agree.

Desiderata · 14/07/2008 23:34

It's a very interesting insight into how society is changing, though.

The whole concept of eBay/life in general, is that you honour an agreement.

These days, people seem less and less inclined to do so. I wonder how much longer eBay can hold out against the unscrupulous hoards.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 14/07/2008 23:34

I have report it all to Ebay under one of the available headings "Buyer asking for more funds after auction ended".

What else do I have to do? I have never actually had any trouble of this kind before after all my years of Ebaying!

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 14/07/2008 23:39

Open a dispute with Paypal as well as ebay, and escalate it straight away.
What a crappy thing to happen.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 14/07/2008 23:40

How do I do that please WotU? Have PayPal open now..

OP posts:
ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 14/07/2008 23:41

There are only these two to choose form..

Report a problem

----------------

What type of problem would you like to address?

Item dispute: I did not receive an item I purchased or the item I received is significantly not as described.
Learn more about opening a dispute

Unauthorised transaction: I did not authorise a recent transaction.

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 14/07/2008 23:41

just looking...

wotulookinat · 14/07/2008 23:44

click on details next to the transaction and there is a link to the resolution centre

wotulookinat · 14/07/2008 23:45

yes, go for the first option, item not received. you should get a chance to type in the details. Put as much as possible, including quotes of what they have actually said to you. Put also that they are new to ebay and this seems to be their first transaction.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 14/07/2008 23:45

Done that but I am going to have to use the option that states I have not received an item I have paid for
