i wish i had the initiative to do it! got about 5 crates full of stuff on the landing and a car and alloy wheels to sell! would cost me a fortune in fees though. lol

MrsWho · 15/04/2007 20:57

Right I am getting on board this thread now. I kept meaning to join the Easter one but somehow never quite got round to it properly and only made about £50. Need a sort out and DH away all week so going to get listing this week.

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 15:03

oh bloody hell might well join you

god i hate ebaying though, its sooooo boring and tedious

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 15:16

ooo I'll join you - only made about £200 on the last challenge - but I'm off work now - and DC3 isn't due until just after halfterm.....so got lots of time to get listing

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 15:26

is it just ebay or does amazon count also?

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 15:53

think last time it was agreed anything sole via Ebay, Amazon, or even her on MN counted towards it - the general aim was just to make as much as possible

persephonesnape · 16/04/2007 16:11

wait!

10p listing day on thursday! I only managed to list eight last night, what a relief!

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 16:13

NO!!!! Don't bother with the 10p listing day - waste of time because EVERYONE is listing LOTS of stuff - meaning your stuff gets less exposure reducing number of hits/bids.....meaning you get less for your stuff.

tortoise · 16/04/2007 16:15

Agree with FA! 10p Listing days are a waste of time!
I have 1 bid already.Love it when that happens.

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 16:29

oh crap cos i was going to list a bunch of stuff on thurs anyway. agree 10p listing days are a waste

MrsWho · 16/04/2007 19:47

Crap I was going to list on Thursday too.

Last time was anything you sold on Ebay, Amazon, MN or selling Nappies.

OP posts:
Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 19:56

well it has taken me an hour to do 3 effing listings

ok so can't list thursday. hmm. what to do, what to do...

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 20:02

do things that were listed before the start of this thread - but finish after it was started count towards out total??

liquidclocks · 16/04/2007 20:12

I need to join too

Had also earmarked thursday to list loads so it finished on a sunday... what to do?

Anyone else think their items fetch more if they finish on a Sunday?

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 20:16

liquid - I used to - but talking to my brother a regular ebayer (seller particularly) he says it makes little difference whether it's a Saturday or Sunday evening - so long as it 'spans' the weekends (ie at least 7 days if you're ending on Saturday night).

He also made a very good point that if you list to finish on a Saturday - you have Sunday to pack the stuff and can post it on Monday morning without trying to rush to get it done......

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 20:19

yeah but don't people go out on saturday night?

i suppose it depends on the item though, am selling all baby stuff so maybe sat would work

crap though, need to pull finger out

liquidclocks · 16/04/2007 20:21

I'm super organised and pack it immediately after photographing

...so, if you list it on a thursday/friday it spans two weekends which could help?

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 20:21

he's never had a problem with it - infact we were only discussing it last week and he's never noticed Saturday being any worse than Sunday - in some ways it's like the 10p listing days scenario - lots of people think Sunday is best - so more stuff finishes then - meaning it gets potentially less interest.

I'm going to stick to my normal Saturday + Whatever day of the week it happens to finish on routine LOL.

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 20:22

I gave up on 10 day listings spanning 2 weekends - didn't have an impact on my sales.......apart from having to wait impatiently for even longer LOL.

tortoise · 16/04/2007 20:44

I am doing 7 day listings. Normally end sunday night but after 9 if possible because of the lighter warmer evenings coming in!
Sometimes think for baby/childrens clothes anytime during school day inbetween pick up times would be ok for sahms. And any evening because i look in the evenings when Dc are in bed.

kittypants · 16/04/2007 20:48

can i join you?ive got lots of baby bits.will start listing on ebay tomorrow!

twinsetandpearls · 16/04/2007 20:51
