I thought the best time was a three day listing starting thursday evening to end sunday about 8pm, don't know where that has come from but has been floating in my head for ages

kirstygem · 16/04/2007 21:03

Know this may bea daft question but what do I type in between the brackets to do a link between here and my items on ebay??

tortoise · 16/04/2007 21:05

Twinset i think the only reason for longer listing is that you are more likely to get more people looking over a week than 3 days.

The two BIN BMX items i had on have both sold full price tonight! I can't really count those in my money made because they were my brothers. He asked me to list them for him!

swedishmum · 17/04/2007 10:09

Can I join too? My first ever listing finishes in 4 hours. Can't believe how exciting I find it! Also may need to come back for help as I've never gone through the process before... We have so much stuff around that we could sell and I just have nowhere to store things.

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 10:34

I'm going to try and get some of my 'non music' stuff listed to start tonight - got some more of my music finishing tonight (9 items - only 3 have bids so far.....) but it would be good to try and get some of the other clutter out of the house before I tackle any more music.....it's flipping heavy to carry - I posted 6 parcels yesterday - at a cost of £27 (so you get an idea of weight).

At least some of the other stuff is lighter LOL.

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 12:26

"I'm super organised and pack it immediately after photographing "

liquid - what happens if the same person wins 2 items (or more) then and it's already packaged up??? I find it easier to wait until the auction has finished because sometimes (and it's happened a few times to me in recent months) one person will win several items.........and then you either have to repack it all - or send seperate parcels.

Fillyjonk · 17/04/2007 17:31

woohooo have sold 3 books!

around £15 after fees/packing. well its a start...

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 17:48

think last times we used the selling price + P&P price for sales total.....but can't remember exactly.

I still only have bids on 3 of my items finishing tonight - but even without P&P that'll be £7

kittypants · 17/04/2007 18:48

is it just ebay?made £10 on here this morning.listing on ebay as we speak!

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 18:51

no can be on here Amazon, Nappylady (or whatever that nappy website you can sell your used (resuable obviously ) nappies on. - basically anywhere online.

kirstygem · 17/04/2007 19:42

Have made £11.50 which is a start!!
How do I do a link between here and my items on Ebay? Please tell me how someone

MrsWho · 17/04/2007 19:58

To do a link search on advanced search on ebay and choose items by ....., then copy and paste the url and make a link on here (as in explained under the emoticons next to the message box)

kittypants · 17/04/2007 20:20

my ebaybit and bobs!

kittypants · 17/04/2007 20:21

yay i did my first link and it worked!will add more tomorrow!

fannyannie · 17/04/2007 20:57

wow - had to go out and missed the end of my auctions - came back to find that my 3 items sold (out of 9....but they were mostly 'relisted' items) for a total of £19.90 (including postage) or £15.90 (excluding postage charges).

I'm really chuffed as when I left they had bids - but only up to £7 (excluding p&p).

kittypants · 18/04/2007 09:24

well done you.

MrsWho · 18/04/2007 19:05

stoppinattwo · 19/04/2007 06:34

Have raised £178 here............going to the disneyland paris fund for October. Need about£700 to pay for it and then our spending money.

fannyannie · 19/04/2007 08:42

Going to add some more stuff today.......including one which is more for a laugh than to make money - a strange looking 'ornament' my brother made in Woodwork Class about 20yrs ago.......rather odd looking thing but I'll start at 1p and list it as "handmade by my brother at school many years ago, he is never done any woodwork (apart from DIY) since and he is not well known or a celebrity"

kittypants · 19/04/2007 09:29

another £16 i think.will add up properly later.

SNOWBall4girlz · 19/04/2007 17:59

here is my stuff at the mo
although I need to edit a couple of the listings as I know I took some pics but can I find them no!!snow's stuff

got some ending tonight
I think that unless you have hundreds of items or high value stuff that cheap listings days are not really worth it either

I have two irish dancing dresses to sell for my sister but have lost the measurements
they are worth putting on as they have a high start price

liquidclocks · 19/04/2007 22:03

I've been off finding my way around auctiva! Not sure if it was worth the effort in the end - have to see!

Fannyannie - hasn't happened yet but then I don't usually do 'mass sells' like I'm doing this time so maybe I'll wait

I've listed 2 things tonight and DH listed 2 so it has begun!

tortoise · 19/04/2007 22:23

Just 2 bids on my bits so far. End on sunday night so fingers crossed for more bids. Will try and list more Sunday but with DS's coming home everythings going to be in turmoil i think!

My brother has more bits for me to try and sell though.Motor bike wheel/tyre this time!!

TheShopaholic · 19/04/2007 22:42

Can I join too please??? Selling some stuff instead of buying for a change. It's taken me all evening to list so here's hoping it goes. \link{http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZbandit010QQhtZ-1/Here's a link to my auctions}
