Well...sold 8 things totalling £160 plus £250 for the alloys so I'm at £410 so far - need to go and look for more stuff!

laughinglil · 03/05/2007 13:36

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 03/05/2007 13:54

I am going to join you now (if I may) as I am trying to get enough cash to pay for at least one plane ticket for our summer hols (which we won't be able to take unless I make some cash). I need the motivation of competitive selling! I have 2 items ending tonight which are up to £33.19, but one of the items has 13 watchers. Has anyone else had problems uploading photos under the new seller's format? Mine seem to take ages to upload now.

MrsWho · 03/05/2007 20:46

£38.86 atm! Some stuff to relist though

I wish i had items which sell for more than a few quid! I have 3 bids at the moment and one item has 7 watchers which has really surprised me.

MrsWho · 03/05/2007 22:24

MIne are all £1/2 too tortoise

Starting to feel like its a waste of time. 99p selling price minus fees minus paypal fee Can't = much money made!

MrsSpoon · 03/05/2007 22:27

My items of clothing seem to be going quite well. I've got loads of books in the house to get rid of but think I'll probably do better on Amazon with them, if I ever get round to it!

SNOWBall4girlz · 03/05/2007 23:52

hi
I am up to about £45 too
but is definately a buyers market.
My turbo lister just crashed when trying to add pictures tonight so given up for tonight

kirstygem · 04/05/2007 08:56

Just made it to £51 so going to tranfer over to savings account for summer holiday fund. I have sold lots of little bits for £1/2 each so takes a while to get to £50 but going to keep going and do more this weekend

laughinglil · 04/05/2007 09:53

i'm up to £32. One of my items has no bids but it has 27 watchers!

LoveMyGirls · 04/05/2007 16:34

Please can i join?

We're due to move house in 4 weeks and we need to A. get rid of stuff we dont use and B. raise cash.

my items

TIA

fannyannie · 04/05/2007 16:45

I've not made any more yet - but got a few bits listed here on at the moment.

Unfortunately my paypal account is on limited access due to 3rd party using it and I can't get my money out

tortoise · 04/05/2007 17:01

I have 6 bids now. 4 items will sell so far. I am really ed at one item having 10 watchers. Really wasn't expecting them to sell.

mygirllollipop · 04/05/2007 17:40

Fannyannie - what happened with the 3rd party accessing your paypal account?
I keep meaning to list but forget then the cheap listing days are on, plus as always my stupid camera doesn't like ;talking' ti my computer.
We're in a similar situation to LoveMyGirls we're hoping to move so we want less stuff and more money to take with us.

fannyannie · 04/05/2007 17:45

oh about 1 month ago I logged into my paypal account/email to discover that I'd "apparently" joined an American Dating website for about £30.......entered a dispute - which thankfully was resolved (ie the money given back to me) within a matter of days.

However on the 18th April got an email from them to say my account had restrictions on it due to unauthorised 3rd party access (didn't complain at that - it was true!). Had to follow through some 'steps' to get my full access back - change my password, security questions and verify my phone number - unfortunately we're -exdirectory so they couldn't link the phone number to the address. They're supposed to have sent out a letter with a verification code in it - which hasn't arrived yet.

Emailed them this morning to ask where it was - and I've been told "it was sent out - must have got lost in the post" (funnily enough what they said when I called their customer service helpline just now ) and that another one has been sent out today. Phone customer service say I can send a fax with my address on a utility bill to them and a covering note - but may give it another week to see if this letter arrives.....

I can still recieve money from buyers - but can't withdraw it!

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 17:52

Can I put mine on please here

mygirllollipop · 04/05/2007 17:55

That's not too bad then. It's not looking good wit hpaypal's efficiency/customer service.

fannyannie · 04/05/2007 17:57

I was impressed with how quickly they got my money refunded before - and I suppose the inconvience of not being able to withdraw money is better than them not doing anything about it at all...........and besides - the longer it takes for me to be able to withdraw money hopefully the more money there will be when I can (presuming I manage to shift some more stuff LOL)

mygirllollipop · 04/05/2007 18:06

Yeah it's not too bad, you have your money back you just can't spend it. I'm always too tight so I wait 'til I'm over £50 to transfer (it's only happened twice as I spend it all first).

fannyannie · 04/05/2007 18:24

same here - but I always want to leave it until I have over £100 but never seem to manage it

laughinglil · 04/05/2007 19:42

i'm up to £40 now.. still 2 days to go and lots and lots of watchers. I am saving for a holiday in october.. got too much stuff to sell though and I hate the job of going to the post office!

MrsWho · 04/05/2007 19:43

I always transfer at £50 but only ever $£50 so the extra stays in til next time!
Now up to £47.61

OP posts:
MrsWho · 04/05/2007 19:44

and a £1.50 quick read book is at £3.65

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 04/05/2007 20:15

Should I be worried about mine not getting watcher's/ bid's etc? I'm new to this and have no idea I've only sold a few things before.
