I made £30 this week (bang on my weekly target) taking my total to £287 I think. Just £13 to go! I might make it. I haven't listed anything this weekend yet though. Do the free listings last til Tuesday?

AdventuresWithVoles · 03/06/2012 22:56

Yes, all the way until Midnight on Tues, I am listing mine Tues so as to get finishes on the Friday week.

I just sold another £30 worth (assuming buyer pays up). I'm getting close to cracking the £100 barrier :).

RachelHRD · 03/06/2012 23:16

Truly lost the will to live today putting my unsold baby clothes into bundles and relisting them and some other items here I think I spent about 3 hours doing it - as I had to schedule them first and then make them live after 8pm!!

Bit disappointed with the BIN's - I sold three items and had quite a few watchers on some of the items but then the listings fizzled out without any more sales. Still have a few left with a reasonable number of watchers so fingers crossed. If I can face it I will dig some more stuff out tomorrow!!

Good luck all and hope you are enjoying the long weekend despite the rain!

carrotsandcelery · 04/06/2012 09:24

It's funny because I sold a lot with the BIN (little things) which I have listed heaps of times with no interest. I think I caught the impulse buys who wouldn't have come back to bid on things.

carrotsandcelery · 04/06/2012 09:25

Thanks Rachel - it is a good point to think about when the auction ends if I list today or tomorrow. Monday and Tuesday nights seem to be good selling nights though for auctions.

Tortoise · 04/06/2012 23:49

Im watching pink crocs that I'm sure were from someone on here. Having never bought genuine crocs, what does the M1 W3 mean? Blush

I've relisted my previously unsold stuff and also listed some new things. Already got a bid on something on it's 3rd listing or this only it's 2nd? lost count...so pleased about that Grin

CrackedNipplesSuchFun · 05/06/2012 12:19

tortoise I've not a clue what that means, I'm selling some Nike flip flops and they have a M and W number, along with a EU shoe size. I know that doesn't help much :o

Hope everyone is having lots of success with their selling!

I've listed all I possibly can right now for this free insertion period - I'm done in!

Please feel free to look :)

OhNoMyFanjo · 05/06/2012 12:53

Well none of my bin went at all so back to auctions they go.

PurpleFrog · 05/06/2012 16:40

Tortoise - the M and W numbers are the US Men's and Women's shoe sizes. I have no idea why they use different sizes for each! The M number for adults shoes is equivalent to the UK size, so for a Junior Croc the same probably applies....... but you had better check!

Tortoise · 05/06/2012 17:44

Thanks purplefrog.

I've scheduled 3 Dora dvds and 1 Peppa pig dvd! Bag of stuff to list but no motivation to get on with it.

OP posts:
PurpleFrog · 05/06/2012 18:34

I also have no motivation... none of my 10 BINs which finish tomorrow have sold yet and only one has any watchers, so I think I'll reschedule them as 7-day auctions later tonight. I had great plans this long weekend ... and so far have managed to iron one pair of denim shorts towards my next lot of new listings!

weirdscience · 05/06/2012 18:40

The crocs are mine, it's american sizing, but they are a UK 1.

I have quite a few things ending tonight and most have bids so think I will finally break the £400 barrier. I am delighted that a pair of trainers are at £14! Grin

Good luck everyone! Smile

PurpleFrog · 05/06/2012 18:52

Hmm - secondhand crocs seem to sell quite well! I wonder if anyone would like dd's old ones complete with puppy-tooth-perforations? Grin

weirdscience · 05/06/2012 20:37

Really pleased sold everything tonight and broke the £400 barrier (£458)!

Will start packaging up, I still have the stuff I sold last week to get to the post office, now I will have this to add to it too! I don't like getting behind with postage! Grin

Tortoise · 05/06/2012 20:59

I still managed to miss the crocs! I bid near end then was going to watch and bid again in last few seconds but I got distracted and missed out!

Loads of relists done. Wanted to list more but really not in a listing mood!

OP posts:
PoohBearsHole · 06/06/2012 11:48

I have done a whole load over the weekend and finally finished adding the pictures as I got to the point of just listing and then loading later!

On for a few days though as finishing on Sunday night, also have a huge value item on there as selling as DH's has put his car on my account.

Tortoise if I find the other pink croc around I will let you know as I have one around here somewhere...................

Weirdest thing is the watchers on the old wall lights we took down, I hated them but dh and I had a laugh about it being free listing weekend so worth a punt and they have 4 watchers already. So if you are looking for brass double candle style wall lamps I am your girl!

weirdscience · 06/06/2012 12:15

Good luck with the car!

Oh tortoise, bad luck with the crocs, I hate when that happens Sad

I have decorated and cleared out DD's bedroom over the weekend, so have a few more things to list, a pink chandelier type lamp shade and loads of liquorice allsorts jewellery(!) and books, but not sure how well books sell really, might just do some buy it now for some of them??

PoohBearsHole · 06/06/2012 12:27

Thanks Weird - have never done a car before but as it has been on Auto trader with no success I thought we should give it a go. Especially as whenever we want something the got to place is ebay or amazon Hmm so might as well be there too!

Tortoise · 06/06/2012 18:35

Thanks poohbear. Good luck with the car selling.

Few watchers appearing slowly.

OP posts:
PoohBearsHole · 06/06/2012 21:07

Thanks Tortoise! More page views in 24 hours on ebay than 2 weeks on autotrader. But no bids or offers, have it as a buy it now so was to have hoping to have flogged it but there we go! Grin

RachelHRD · 06/06/2012 22:07

I sold a car on Ebay a few years back PoohBear and it all went smoothly - ended up selling at a reasonable price to a dealer cash on collection.

Good luck with yours!

PoohBearsHole · 07/06/2012 21:10

Thanks, had an offer but it was below what they were going to give us in part ex by quite a bit so told him to come back with a better one Grin

CrackedNipplesSuchFun · 10/06/2012 14:50

Hello fellow eBayers, can I ask a question please? I'm a new seller on eBay and as such am a little confused and hoping someone with experience can help!

A bidder on an item has retracted their bid.. Fine, however they have stated the reason as being that I had changed the item description, which I haven't.. I haven't done anything to it since its original listing.

Does this reason show to other bidders and prospective bidders? I don't want people to be put off thinking I am chopping and changing things when I haven't!

I have no problem with people retracting bids (which I didn't even know you could do - useful to know though when I go buying!) I am just a bit narked at the reason given.

Thanks.

RachelHRD · 10/06/2012 17:41

It shouldn't show on your listing - have you checked it? I think only you can publish comments there,

Re altering the listing sounds like an excuse to me - you can't alter a listing once a bid has been placed on it.

Annoying but sadly Ebay is buyer biased!! Good luck with your selling.
