Thanks AWV, will try again.

OhNoMyFanjo · 26/05/2012 09:23

You have to delete tge auction starting price it doesn't auto remove when you change to fixed listing

nsjuly · 26/05/2012 09:37

Got it!

mogs0 · 26/05/2012 17:35

I've listed three items so far HmmGrin.

I'll have a look at what other things I can put on with a BIN and maybe list some more clothes as they seemed to sell well last week.

Babylann - it is very normal for bidding to be slow until the last few minutes but it's not good for the nerves!! These challenges start again once the current one ends so we'll all be here again in a few weeks Grin... it'll probably be the Christmas one before long GrinGrin

AdventuresWithVoles · 26/05/2012 20:21

I am impressed I found 13 items to list!
I reckoned anything that hadn't sold many times previously, probably I should just list BIN same as the auction starting price (which is my effective reserve, anyway).

SNOWBall4girlz · 26/05/2012 22:35

well I am about half way between bronze and silver but i am putting a few things back on this weekend.

Taking advantage of the free fixed price offer and putting some 99 p ones in between :). My feed back is back up to 99% despite the funny buyer (see the thread flipping buyers a neg for what!!).
Everyone seems to be doing great. Tortoise if you are not sure what it is worth put it on high with the option of best offer you can counter the offers and might find a buyer that way ?
my bits are here
:)

carrotsandcelery · 27/05/2012 22:42

I have relisted 58 items as BIN. It took forever. Hopefully the some will sell or I will have to change them all back again.

carrotsandcelery · 28/05/2012 16:49

Ooh! I have sold something! Woo hoo!

OhNoMyFanjo · 28/05/2012 18:44

Just had an offer on two of dd's leggings, had chanced them at a fiver and been offered 2.50, might go back with 3.59, what do you think?

OhNoMyFanjo · 28/05/2012 18:45

Damn phone 3.50

babylann · 28/05/2012 19:07

Freaking out! Only 19 hours left on one of my items and I'm feeling nervous that it's gonna go for 99p! I wish I'd put a higher minimum bid on now, I wasn't really thinking about it at the time.

I think I'll probably have to cancel the auction if it does look like it's going for 99p. It makes me feel really dishonest though Confused

CrackedNipplesSuchFun · 29/05/2012 15:43

Hi all,

I am giving this challenge a go! £150 made to date, not account for evil fees!

He is a shameless link my current listings... More to come (p.s if you need help on how to put the photos in your description please let me know and I can tell you as it really helps!).

shameless link

Hope everyone is having good luck with their sales.

weirdscience · 29/05/2012 17:03

Looks like everyone is doing really well!

I am currently at £382 (well would be if I hadn't spent most of it! Wink) Had a bit of a root around and have came up with a few more things (mainly DD's shoes and a few ladies tops) to list over the next few days, so hopefully I should make the £400 mark.

Have spent my winnings on holiday clothes for DD and I so I feel like I have been quite productive, got rid of the old to make way for the new! Grin

SNOWBall4girlz · 29/05/2012 19:09

Nice one weird science i know I sell the kids stuff and buy them more :)
I have a mix of buy it now and auctions on now but have had a cheeky offer
on a next dress with a start price of 14.99 was asked if i would sell for 12.00 inc postage Hmm.
a little bit of interest in a flat back table and chairs where i have used a stock photo as it is sealed in a flat pack. Would that put you off not a real pic ?

Plus one bid on 26 items think I need a bit more than luck this week lol.
here

weirdscience · 29/05/2012 20:41

No, a stock photo wouldn't put me off something that was sealed, better than a pic of a box! Grin

Some buyers will chance anything, i've had similar before too!

I have put a few things on tonight, bored with it now, so will put the rest on tomorrow.

Here is what's on so far!

carrotsandcelery · 29/05/2012 21:32

weird I love those flowery docs.

I have had a few sales with the BIN. It is quite fun having stuff sell randomly like this but does mean I am running back and forth to the post office.

weirdscience · 29/05/2012 21:57

My DD is currently trying to save up £110 for a pair of flowery docs (but she's not getting very far! Grin)

Granny helpfully bought her the flowery ones that are on Ebay, but as they aren't the genuine ones DD won't wear them, so she can have whatever they make for her Doc fund! Grin

carrotsandcelery · 29/05/2012 22:15

If I could squeeze my size 6 feet into size 2 docs then I would have them myself. Sadly dd is now a 4 and sometimes a 5 so I can't get them for her either.

Not that either of us need docs, but they are so pretty! Grin

SNOWBall4girlz · 29/05/2012 22:51

weirdscience I have bid on your shoes :)
love the flowery boots I have doc martens with heels have you checked out the doc marten web site mine were £70 reduced from £120.
I am going to list more stuff tomorrow got to do a little often lol.

dizzyday07 · 29/05/2012 23:31

I have reached Bronze!

Weird - my DD is a size 1 in shoes so she would grow into your flowery Docs!

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 29/05/2012 23:34

Well the BINs are actually doing quite well. I relisted whatever hadn't sold, and added on a couple of pounds to the prices, and 3 have sold already. My listings are here if anyone would like a nosy.

My totoal is only at about £65 so far, but I've onlt actually listed twice- I didn't want to faff around while the price changes were happening on royal mail.

RachelHRD · 30/05/2012 14:33

Had one non payer from my last sales who seems to have won loads of items and not paid for any - why would someone do that??

Have relisted mine as BIN's and seem to be going OK - surprised at how many people watch a BIN item! Mine are here

Fingers crossed for free standard listing soon!! Good luck all!

carrotsandcelery · 30/05/2012 16:50

I was surprised by watchers with BIN too but then realised i have done the same when waiting to see if i win an auction or if i am comparing prices. I do seem to be selling things tho. I think the fact people dont have to wait is motivating sales. I imagine i also get some impulse sales this way.
This is not challenge related but i am interested in opinions. I bought several items from one seller and they didnt reduce postage until i asked. Then they reduced postage from £10 for 5 items to £6 for a parcel that will post for £2.20 Shock do you think that is a bit cheeky or is it what you would do too?

AdventuresWithVoles · 30/05/2012 18:37

How can you be so sure the Royal Mail postage is only £2.20 before you get it?

If it is £2.20, I think £3-£4 is perfectly reasonable, I might ask for that charge. You haven't allowed anything for time + packing materials, which can be quite considerable. What were the items?

carrotsandcelery · 30/05/2012 18:47

They are just a few little tubes of beads and a packet of thread. They won't be heavy. I totally agree that a few pence for the postage materials is acceptable but I don't think £6 is fair at all. I really am shocked that they thought it would be.
