All fine now, DCat was unable to wee and in agony so had to have op to help him wee! which is ironic given how many threads on here are on the opposite problem!

carrotsandcelery · 22/05/2012 16:12

Oh poor cat! I am glad all is ok now then. Sounds like money well spent.

mogs0 · 22/05/2012 21:25

I need distracting from my refresh button Grin.

A few items have ended tonight. 2 more ending over the next hour and a few ending tomorrow. I'm pleased with sales so far and have a few bids on the items ending tomorrow.

babylann · 22/05/2012 21:28

Can I join? Have just put my first item up on ebay today - had been planning to do it for a loooong time (we have a HUGE pile of "for ebay" stuff) and now I have a mission - to make enough money from selling stuff to pay for driving lessons, insurance and test for myself! It will be hard as we don't really own anything of value, let alone valuable things we don't want Grin

First item is up with a Buy it now of £35 and starting bid of 99p. I've started feeling anxious about the possibility of it actually selling for 99p though...!

mogs0 · 24/05/2012 00:01

Babylann - welcome! It's suprising how quickly your paypal balance grows from lots of small sales. Good luck with driving lessons...I passed my test nearly two years ago (aged 31) and it has made my life so much easier!

I have just spent 1 1/2 hours packing up 10 items Shock. Why does it take me so long? I still have a few more waiting to pay but will be happy for them to take a couple of days because I don't want to go through packing anything else just yet!

I've made about £120 over the last two days on ds' outgrown clothes and my NWT clothes (bought in the sales). I'm not sure what my total is...I need to go and check on the real eBay Grin.

mogs0 · 24/05/2012 00:06

Just checked...total is £251 (excluding the abc buggy)...better get some more stuff listed to reach gold!!

bobkate · 24/05/2012 09:40

Well done though mogs.. that's pretty good already! I'm well chuffed...put our lovely plate rack on ( didn't have wall space for it when we moved Sad..anyway, only put it on last night and already have a bid and 2 watcher!! My starting price was £75 so got that for sure....whooppppeeeeeee! Let's hope the oboe and the motorbike go! Grin

AkhalTeke · 24/05/2012 09:54

I'm on £408 Smile

still have some kids summer clothes to list, but was wondering if it is a bit late, ie won't most people have bought their kids summer wardrobe by now?

PurpleFrog · 24/05/2012 10:57

I've only sold 4 items this week, but that takes my total to just over £111 so I have reached bronze! Smile

I don't think we have anything on this weekend (so far), so hope to do some more sorting/cleaning/listing. I also need to get dd's previous bike out the garage and give it a spruce-up before putting it on Gumtree.

Jenjenw · 24/05/2012 11:28

Great. I was selling yankee candles for a while. I think I have to give it another go. :) Let the games begin

mogs0 · 24/05/2012 17:14

All (but one) items paid for and posted. I've just made my second trip to the post office and the final item waiting to be paid for has now been paid Hmm. I'm not going out again...they already think I'm a bit bonkers in my post office and it's at least 10 degrees hotter outside than inside so I'm staying put and will post it tomorrow!

Right, I need to get listing. The house that I really want to buy has had an offer put in so I need to channel all my energy into selling, selling, selling to help raise funds. It might also distract me from pestering my sister who is trying to arrange a mortgage so that I can buy the house!

milk · 24/05/2012 20:43

I did it!!! Grin

Total sales: £311.42 GOLD!!!!!!!! Grin

wheredidyoulastseeit · 24/05/2012 21:09

Bronze for me, £103.00 running total Garden is looking bare now have sold unused garden toys.

nsjuly · 24/05/2012 23:07

Had 27 items finishing last night so my total is now £422.50. Am absolutely thrilled with that. I must say though that the total is my gross figure and includes postage. Still have loads to list, will definitely make another few hundred I reckon! Nothing up at the moment, waiting for the next free listings weekend.

Tortoise · 25/05/2012 07:20

Free listing on FIXED price items.
Bit disappointed in that, I have lots of relists but all auctions and some are my mums and we don't know value although all unsold 1st time listed them!

OP posts:
OhNoMyFanjo · 25/05/2012 07:57

Free listing for fixed price listing via an app this weekend

AdventuresWithVoles · 25/05/2012 08:24

Ta 4 notice.

PurpleFrog · 25/05/2012 09:21

I got the e-mail too. I have things that offer would be very useful for... but I am probably not able to get them in a state to be listed this weekend. I have read through the T&Cs but can't see if you are allowed to ask for a Best Offer under this promotion. I guess I will have to try it and see!

I still reckon eBay will do another free-listing offer over the Jubilee weekend - possibly a 4-day one?

roosterroo · 25/05/2012 12:20

Here are some more - enjoying being home with laryngitis.

kids are enjoying the fact mum cannot shout!

babylann · 25/05/2012 23:45

Thank you for the welcome. I don't think I can actually participate in this competition now I've discovered I can only put 10 auctions on as I'm a new seller! Annoying :( I was hoping lots of small sales would make me rich Grin Because we certainly don't have 10 things worth £300 collectively which we can sell!

And I'm still terrified that the item I've put on might sell for £1! One bid on it and 9 people watching, 3 days left... Is that normal, or should I be panicking? I was hoping for at least £20 Shock

OhNoMyFanjo · 26/05/2012 08:17

Ok so the free fixed listing, you can add best offer but you can only list for up 10 days, it charges 40p for the 30 day listing.

The best thing is as its bin it doesn't really matter when you start it.

OhNoMyFanjo · 26/05/2012 08:29

If you have more than 1 item to sell of the same thing they need to be on desperate listings or they charge 40p

OhNoMyFanjo · 26/05/2012 08:44

eBay are quick today, they've removed one of my listings as I had listed two of tge same item (and therefore avoided tge fee)

nsjuly · 26/05/2012 08:49

I was trying to re-list some of my unsold items as BIN but I'm being charged a fee. Anyone know why?

AdventuresWithVoles · 26/05/2012 09:00

I get the same problems, it will be one of your options, just keep ticking & unticking boxes until you find some permutation that is FL.
