nsjuly I'm not expert so not sure!!! This is only my 2nd load of ebay stuff so still lots to work out!
Managed to get about 20odd items listed, both relists and new stuff.... www.ebay.co.uk/sch/katyjim48/m.html?hash=item3f17412c5e&item=270973086814&pt=UK_Baby_Girls&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2562 here's my stuff. I still can't bring myself to sell most of it for 99p so maybe I won't have much luck! Have to wait and see!!!

ragged · 13/05/2012 20:09

NSJULY: I think you need to find the most similar recent items on Ebay & see what they sold for, to see if it's worthwhile to list individually or better to list a bundle. Bundle better if the individual sale prices are low & the items make sense to own together.

I have about 18 Brownies items which I am listing in 5 separate bundles, mostly just to limit the number of trips I need to make to the PO.

carrotsandcelery · 13/05/2012 21:03

I have 66 items listed now - most are relists, I added about 15 or 20 new ones. I am not sure exactly how many.

I am just about seeing double now as I spent nearly an hour rescheduling or relisting.

I made a big fat zero this week. Sad That is the first time I have made nothing. I did have an odd assortment listed though so I shouldn't be surprised. At least I get a week off packing Grin

Fingers crossed we all do better this week!

RachelHRD · 13/05/2012 21:45

I'm seeing double too carrots just relisted 30 and rescheduled 30 - did you have problems with relisting? The site seemed to slow down and fall over a bit I'm guessing due to the number of people listing around 8pm!!

Hoping these will make some money this week as the overdraft balance isn't looking good Blush

Good luck everyone!!

carrotsandcelery · 13/05/2012 21:55

Yes, it kept crashing mid relist etc. As if it is not tedious enough when you could be reading a story with your dd!

mogs0 · 13/05/2012 22:07

Rachel - I am watching loads of your items!

Here are my items for this weekend.

I'm quite pleased that I managed to do the amount that I did...I can't imaging getting 60 odd items listed...it's so time consuming.

I have cheated slightly as I haven't done the photos yet. Some of the items need ironing first so i'm going to do that now while I'm watching tv then I'll photo and upload tomorrow morning.

I've got a few watchers on a couple of items so hopefully at least some of it will go.

RachelHRD · 13/05/2012 22:10

Thats great mogs Grin I will have very few clothes left by the time I kick my Ebay habit stop selling!!

30 of mine were relists and then I did 25 last night and scheduled them - it doesn't take too long once you get used to it!!

Good luck with yours!!

nsjuly · 13/05/2012 22:18

Good God I'm cross eyed! It keeps logging me out when I go to upload pics, then will only let me do one or two pics at a time. Almost finished. Well I have a few more things I could do but I have lost the will to live.

Tortoise · 13/05/2012 22:19

Here's my listings. Some re-lists some new listings.
Very tedious tonight, don't know why.
Cameras are my Dads, not expecting them to do well but he thinks worth money because they are vintage!! We will see. I looked on completed listings and they don't seem to sell well.

Rachel Just had a nose at your listings, my suggestion would be to iron everything as some of the baby clothes dont look good because of the creases. A pain to do but really worth it.
(I'm terrible at getting things ironed!)

RachelHRD · 13/05/2012 22:33

Thanks Tortoise appreciate the advice!! Sadly my iron died recently when it fell from a high cupboard thanks to my bloody idiot of a DH so I am ironless at the moment (not that I'm great at ironing anyway!!)

I'm calling it a day. I've put all of these up from scratch today except maybe 4 and I'm a broken woman. I can only hope that I'll get faster! Good luck this week everyone.

Tortoise · 13/05/2012 22:46

Ah I see Rachel lol. Tell DH he needs to buy a new one! Grin

Nsjuly i am working from my phone so not sure but do you have the size in the heading of every listing? That can make a difference to people searching. I cant see it in your timberlands for example.

PurpleFrog · 14/05/2012 09:11

I have 14 items listed. Only 3 are completely "new" but 2 others had extra photos added. It took me a..g..e..s to get these listed. Everything was running so slowly, and it kept timing me out in the middle and I had to start again. I tried 3 different browsers, I cleaned out caches and cookies and restarted and it was still really bad. I was even having problems making scheduled items live - it kept hanging in the middle.

It is interesting to hear that other people had problems too.

I had put it down to the fact that we had major problems with our broadband last week. Our BT home hub (i.e. router) was refusing to connect, and I spent a large chunk of Wednesday evening trying to converse with a woman in India. She couldn't understand my accent, and I couldn't understand hers! The hub was eventually reset to factory settings and we have a network again, but it seems much slower than it was before.

We are looking around for a new broadband deal anyway - I guess I had better look at that urgently!

nsjuly · 14/05/2012 09:55

Carrots thanks for that, I have the size in the heading for some but not all. I'll go and revise them now.

carrotsandcelery · 14/05/2012 09:58

I could see it on some which is why I wondered if it was just my phone. I am off to check the same for mine. It is easy to lose track when you are doing lots of listings.

weirdscience · 14/05/2012 10:44

Morning everyone, just having a look though all your stuff, all looking great good luck! :)

Mogs, some of your items don't appear to have photos, not sure if there is something wrong, or if it is just me, but thought I should let you know.

I have a quite a few things on, but hoping to list more over the next few days here is what is on so far

Hope we all do well this week! Smile

nsjuly · 14/05/2012 10:57

Hmmmm, ebay keeps logging me out when I try to revise the Timberland trainers, although I managed to revise the other things without that happening. They are finishing tonight anyway.

I am gathering more things for the next free insertion weekend. Is it possible to schedule them for as far in advance as possible, and then if a free listings w/end pops up then change the listing date accordingly? Thus avoiding both the fees and having to do a load of listings in two days.

carrotsandcelery · 14/05/2012 11:30

That is what I do nsjuly. If I am organised a do a listing here and there and then schedule them as far in advance as I can. Then I send them live when there is a free listing. After that, if they are in unsold then they appear in unsold items and can just be relisted when it is free listings.
