Thats great news. I have down loaded the android ap so i am going to try it out too. I have loads to list. I suspect i may not sell anything this week as i have just got odd random 99p stuff listed.

HateBeingCantDoUpMyJeans · 11/05/2012 07:50

Yay free mobile listing this weekend.

Going to put on tge dress I bought from tge charity shop, my first attempt at selling for profit.

Got some stuff to relist tgat I didn't want to start at 99p plus some other stuff I've got to list. Am looking at this being a big weekend for listing so wish my luck.

Do you think it's worth listing a moses basket without a cover, the elastic went on it but it's a John Lewis basket.

What toys are worth the bother of listing? Is it better to do some small bundles at a £5/£10?

carrotsandcelery · 11/05/2012 08:11

I would look up the toys in completed listings. Some things go for surprising amounts.
Good luck with your big listing weekend!

PurpleFrog · 11/05/2012 09:26

I have had quite a good week on eBay. Smile

I sold 4 of the 9 re-lists I had finishing on Tuesday, and 7 out of 10 "new" items ending on Wednesday. I have a couple of people still to pay, but the rest of the items were posted on Wednesday or are waiting here in my office ready to go at lunchtime today.

Assuming my outstanding payers pay, I am now less than £10 away from a bronze medal! My enthusiasm for eBay has been re-kindled!

However, I really have to get organised tonight if I am going to get much listed this free-listing weekend. I have too many things that need to be found, checked, cleaned, ironed etc. before they can be done.

I have things all over the place. Blush I really need to get all the "stuff I am getting rid of" in one place, then decide which bits are going on eBay, and which will be disposed of in other ways. After every free-listing weekend my memory gets jogged by little things and I remember other bits and pieces I was meaning to list, but of course have forgotten them again by the next free-listing...

bobkate · 11/05/2012 10:55

I've asked on a different post but I'll ask here too! I've not had an email about free listing - but is it only for those listing via their mobiles? If so I'll be a bit sad as I've only got a crappy old mobile, no app in sight Sad

PurpleFrog · 11/05/2012 13:42

No, its for everyone as long as they are not using turbo-lister etc.. The info is available on eBay here Smile

Snapespeare · 11/05/2012 14:14

yippee! :) shall pop a few more things on then. I bloody love free listing weekends!

AkhalTeke · 11/05/2012 16:23

£280, going for gold. No live listings at the moment, will do some this weekend, although most of the stuff I knew would do well has been sold, it's still surprising how much lots off little sales can add up.

had a lovely buyer for an 8.00 collection only item who paid with a tenner and waved away change... i later messaged them for their paypal email to send the change that way, and they refused again...

Also had horrid naggy buyers moaning... heigh ho...

MrsSnaplegs · 11/05/2012 19:36

We have loads finishing this weekend some with bids already - hopefully will relist anything that doesn't go
Racking my brain for more stuff to go - we are moving abroad so trying to clear loadsWink

bobkate · 11/05/2012 21:08

I typed out a long msg... then MN went awol. I've lots ( well lots for me being a newbie ) listed and was just in the process of editing them and then got a msg from ebay pop up saying I coudn't proceed anymore until I'd become verified from paypal. Or something like that. I've agreed to some direct debit thing and now have to wait for paypal to deposit 2 small amounts into my account, then have to enter these somewhere else. What a phaff. Is this normal? Reckon if they don't do it before Sunday, I could prob list about 15 items. Really wanted to get a whole load done. Sad

bobkate · 11/05/2012 21:08

p.s thanks for confirming it was free listing for all! Smile

weirdscience · 11/05/2012 22:15

I managed to get another 10 things on tonight (so have 34 things listed) with another 10 scheduled for tomorrow night. Have made about £250 so far, but have spent most of it Blush

Still have another full bin bag of girl's clothes after this one. Agree that lots of small sales can really add up. I go on holiday 7 weeks today, so hoping to have everything sold and some money in my paypal account for spending! Grin

This is what I have so far Have tried to improve the quality of my photos on these listings as they were pretty poor last time.

MrsSnaplegs · 12/05/2012 08:50

Today is end day for about half of our 47 items - bids on about 10 items with a total of £88 so far but lots of watchers so should be an interesting day
Good luck everyone - happy listing and hope you all get lots of biddersGrin

carrotsandcelery · 12/05/2012 10:58

Bobkate, i had to do that when i started out too. Its a bit of a pain but does.let you list much more once you have done it.

mogs0 · 12/05/2012 22:21

I've listed 10 items this evening.

There is also a huge pile of clothes ready to be listed tomorrow so am looking forward to a day of ebaying Grin

MrsSnaplegs · 13/05/2012 09:08

Well 15 items unsold last night
17 items sold
16 to finish today and tomorrow
Haven't worked out money yet but will just relist non selling items
Hope everyone is having a productive weekend Grin

carrotsandcelery · 13/05/2012 09:56

I need a good boot up my backside to get me to list some new items today or I will just be relisting unsold items again. Blush

MrsSnaplegs · 13/05/2012 14:29

Carrots - so have you done anything?
Just relocated our unsold items and scheduled them to start this evening on a 7 day listing
Also managed to buy some new clothes
2 dresses 2 tops a pair of trousers and a top - all monsoon all for £25 including postage Grin

carrotsandcelery · 13/05/2012 16:32

MrsSnaplegs I have managed to schedule 12 new items so far and will send them live tonight. I will also have loads to relist. I might write some more up but I am a bit bored with it for now.

How is everyone else getting on?

I am definitely getting faster at listing things. It makes it much less of a chore. I have also done a little job in the house every time a photo is loading so I have moved around and the house hasn't been totally neglected. Smile

nsjuly · 13/05/2012 17:41

Just cleaned out my paypal a/c buying a gorgeous Mulberry bag and am eyeing up another one so have been furiously listing things to sell. I have spent all afternoon listing just 11 items. It takes me sooooooo long!

carrotsandcelery · 13/05/2012 17:45

july you will speed up over time. It still takes a while for the photos to load but the rest doesn't take me half as long now. The worst bit for me now is sorting the stuff out for the photos.

bobkate · 13/05/2012 18:40

Thanks carrots - good to know that it's not just me! Still waiting for the 2 payments to go in from paypal so I can only really relist unsold stuff today and a few others that I've scheduled that don't need editing and I'll just move them over in a mo. Sounds like everyone is powering along! Smile

nsjuly · 13/05/2012 19:51

Opinions please - I have a few mini Modern items to list, 3 of them I bought individually to put together an outfit. Is it usually more lucrative to sell as a bundle or as single items?

nsjuly · 13/05/2012 19:56

Boden, not "modern".
