So about £15 plus postage, pays for tge two things I've accidentally bought from eBay today Grin

Bought a Coast dress in the charity shop during the week to put on eBay, it cost a tenner so need to do a good listing. Defo think (hope) it will go well it looks like new.

So they've just collected and didn't have tge right money, I felt like a right twat cause I only have 3p in my purse Sad have said I'll send their change via paypal.

carrotsandcelery · 06/05/2012 21:18

Roughly £45 tonight, all on relists, so it is always worth trying again. Grin

CointreauVersial · 06/05/2012 22:18

£80.50 this evening, which, when added to my £229 previous total takes me to.....wait for it.....gold medal position!! Yay! It was mostly leftover Pippa clothes and a couple of high-end clothing items that DH never wore.

I haven't listed anything this evening, too busy enjoying my long weekend. Off to London tomorrow with the DCs, where my £80.50 will last about....oooh.... half an hour? Grin

notcitrus · 06/05/2012 22:35

£45 for me tonight! 4 items to send, payment received for 3 already.
So I get my Bronze medal with £110! :)

Will list a couple other items later in the week.

RachelHRD · 06/05/2012 22:57

£141 for me tonight so very pleased although very few of my baby clothes sold almost all of that was my clothes and a pair of Duo Boots. Fat Face tops are going really well on Ebay at the moment if any of you have any to sell - 2 of mine sold for £21 and one for £24!! Grin

Makes my total £393 since the start of this thread so Gold medal Grin - whoop whoop and more to sell. If it's not nailed down I'm selling it at the moment!!

CointreauVersial · 07/05/2012 00:27

Well done, Rachel!

Tortoise · 07/05/2012 08:11

Hello.
Hope everyone is doing well with their selling. I was hoping to relist bits last night but didn't get around to it.

My mum is going to stay with some friends for couple of days tomorrow so I might get some done then.

I think we are at about £230 for the challenge so far so I have scrabbled my way to a silver medal now. Yay! I am chuffed with that. That has virtually all just been on stuff cleared out of dd's room during the holidays Shock

PurpleFrog · 07/05/2012 12:36

Everyone seems to be doing really well.... I am hoping to catch up over the next few weeks as I was a bit slow off the starting blocks.

I decided to avoid finishing auctions over the holiday weekend, so my stuff from the last free listing weekend finishes tomorrow and Wednesday evenings. I have bids on 3 items and another 7 with watchers so am keeping my fingers crossed.

I had hoped to sort out more stuff to list this weekend but seem to be lacking in enthusiasm at the moment!

roosterroo · 07/05/2012 17:21

made a little effort today cleared my wardrobe so have more yet to list

here are some for now www.ebay.co.uk/sch/lrud3454/m.html?item=261019009859&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562

Excuse me ladies may I join you ?

We're moving overseas so desperately trying to shift surplus items Grin
Made £156 a couple of weeks ago with another £145 through off line sales
Another 40+ items listed this weekend so hoping for another £150+ GrinGrin

mogs0 · 08/05/2012 14:41

I need a kick up the bum to get me listing again! I never got round to updating my listings. They end tomorrow and have no picture or description Blush so I will end them tonight.

I really must get into the habit of listing a few things each day. Will try tonight!

PoohBearsHole · 08/05/2012 15:11

I am finding it quite irritating as I keep forgetting to list at appropriate times so don't bother at all which is annoying Grin still am cracking on, just irritated by someone who hasn't been in contact since winning an item on 2/05 Angry but hey ho!

MrsSnaplegs · 08/05/2012 17:08

Poohbearshole have you considered scheduling a time for the listing to start
We did it yesterday so put all them listings on in day and scheduled a 8pm start
Sorry of I'm teaching you to suck eggs Smile

PoohBearsHole · 08/05/2012 20:00

Do you have to pay for it? I can't remember, you used to have to which slightly puts me off but if you don't any more then I will be heading down in that direction!

bobkate · 08/05/2012 20:22

Posted my parcels today, felt good to see them all go off! And I've now done some more today, scheduled for as far in advance as I could, then I'll change them over when it's the next free listing. I'll aim to do some more tomorrow. Got 24 ready, 8 of which are relists. Found it much quicker to do the listings this time.

weirdscience · 08/05/2012 20:49

Looks like everyone is doing really well, well done everyone! Smile

I've made a total of £232 so really pleased with that.

Still have 2 full bin bags of clothes (girls) left to list but I am slowly losing motivation!! Will try to make an effort tomorrow to get photos done and some more listed.

Toddle · 09/05/2012 00:37

Hello I'm intruding on your challenge but wondering if anyone could help me out with a little info Smile

I've seen a couple of you say about listing things in advance and then changing them when the free listing weekend are on.

I sell things on eBay regularly but just as and when I can be bothered but baby is due in a couple of weeks now so I doubt I'll have tons of time to list things then. I've used most of my 100 free listings for this month so usually I'd just wait until start of next month. Is there a way I can list them up to say start in 29 days time then change them to start immediately when its a free listing weekend or do you still get charged the fee 6p is it for a advanced start?

Thanks for any help

ragged · 09/05/2012 10:34

You set up the whole listing & then "schedule" it for several weeks in the future. Get listing perfect otherwise. When the FL weekend is active, you edit the scheduled listing (it's under your "Selling" tab) to go live immediately. You don't get charged 6p at this point.

I have to set up every auction as scheduled & work on them over the weeks, can't do much in one single go. Have to remember to keep editing & rescheduling if a FLW doesn't come up in time.

Dunno if you've already done 100 listings for May, if you can schedule more now. Probably.

weirdscience · 09/05/2012 15:05

Just had a buyer contact me to say they have just received an empty envelop from me (should have had a watch inside) so I have had to refund, was only for a couple of pounds so not sure if it is worth the hassle of claiming back from Royal mail (or even how to go about it??!) Sigh!

ragged · 09/05/2012 16:39

Bummer.
There's a form you pick up in the PO to claim back. It tells you what to do.
Worthwhile to move to mutually cancel the transaction so that you can get FVF back, too.

nsjuly · 09/05/2012 23:25

Well done to you all, great sales these days! I made about £45 tonight but still waiting on people to complete payment. I have funds in PayPal now that I'd like to withdraw, anyone know what they charge please?

PurpleFrog · 10/05/2012 09:24

nsjuly - it used to cost you to withdraw funds from Paypal if it was less than £50. It now doesn't cost you for any amount, as long as you withdraw to your linked UK bank account.

notcitrus · 10/05/2012 15:05

Packed up items on Tuesday - very pleased that I managed to squeeze a nappy bag into a mailing bag - and MrNC kindly posted them. Unfortunately before I put return address labels on, so here's hoping they don't get lost...

Scouring the house for stuff to sell but mostly only finding widgets and stuff for the bin!

carrotsandcelery · 10/05/2012 18:14

I have the opposite problem and the whole lounge is cluttered up with things waiting to be listed or listed but not sold. I need to move but but dont know where to.
