Hi,

do you get notified as soon as the conditional order is applied for? Or only when approved? The online tracker doesnt have a tick against the conditional order, but I am confused why the Ex hasnt applied for it. Do you get an email reminder?

thanks

When the applicant ticks apply you both get emailed the same day with a notification to say so. The conditional order is read out at a hearing (you don't have to go) then once this is done you'll receive another email saying so, mine came 48hrs after the hearing happened. Attached to that email is the CO. With this you can then apply for a financial consent order.

Within the email with the CO it tells you the date you can then apply for the final order from.

Thank you. Still waiting

How long did it take for your conditional order to be granted, from the day you applied for the conditional order?

How long did it take for your conditional order to be granted, from the day you applied for the conditional order?

I applied on Sunday 27th, had email today with the entitlement certificate and the court hearing is 21st December. Financial order will be sent to the court on the 21st, and can apply for the final order on 2nd Feb. So it was about 48 hours from applying for conditional order to the email giving the certificate of entitlement. Then 3 weeks until the hearing.

Alplounger · 29/11/2022 16:22

Ok great! So I applied today, so hopefully have it all done just after you! thanks for the info. Christmas might get in the way though!

Nickylewis · 22/12/2022 23:33

Hey I was just wondering how long did it take to grant your conditional order after you applied For it I have to apply tomorrow I just want this over and done with thank you

Nickylewis · 23/12/2022 00:21

Hi just interested to know was the court hearing only for the financial order or is the conditional order granted before that thank you

Alplounger · 23/12/2022 08:29

Good morning!

So it took about 72 hours once I’d applied for the conditional order to receive an email telling me the date of the hearing, which was about 3 after. Ironically that date is TODAY!

I applied on the 29th November, email a few days later, the Hearing or Pronouncement is today, 23rd December. We have agreed financial terms and will submit them early in the new year due to my solicitor being busy.

Final order will be on the 4th Feb.

Hope that helps and gives you some hope too.

Nickylewis · 23/12/2022 13:58

afternoon thank you it’s so confusing for me so I applied today so hopefully my final order will be at the start of March do you think the financial order slows things down ?

Alplounger · 23/12/2022 18:27

youre right it’s not exactly clear on all the gov.Uk sites etc.

yea I’d say early March. As far as I’m aware once you’ve agreed the financial order it’ll only take a couple of weeks. You can submit it until your Conditional order is pronounced in court. So if you get it sorted now, you can submit it immediately once the conditional order is done

My husband can put in for conditional order today 3rd January. Does the email come straight through to me once he's ticked the box to say he wants to go ahead? Also do you receive a reminder saying that you can apply for conditional order?

Nickylewis · 04/01/2023 03:59

Hey i started a divorce by my self they sent me a reminder on the the day I could apply for my conditional order, I read on here that you will get a email when the person has applied on the same day

VICKYH1981 · 05/01/2023 16:30

Spoken to the divorce people, they said you will only get notified when the conditional order is applied for if you put in as a joint application. So it will be a case of just ringing up every few days to see if my husband has applied which is a pain

VICKYH1981 · 05/01/2023 16:31

Is that when you apply jointly though as I was told I won't get notified as my husband applied solely

Nickylewis · 05/01/2023 20:11

Oh okay mine was a sole application hopefully he will apply soon it is annoying process

Nickysmadhouse · 15/02/2023 10:37

glad i found this thread! So, today i can apply for my conditional order, my (hopefully) soon to be ex will not discuss finances, he is in denial any of this is happening! Can i submit the order application then a financial order separately, should he ever sort them?

Yes, you need your conditional order to be able to submit a financial consent order to the court. My solicitor submitted mine the day it was uploaded to the online portal and I sent him a copy of the conditional order certificate.

Alplounger · 15/02/2023 14:22

You can agree financial order, but you can only submit once you have conditional order.

my financial order only took about a week.

you have to have Final order in place for financial order to be binding to.

once you have conditional order, you’ll get an email 6 weeks later inviting you apply for your final order. Once you do this it’ll take about a day for it be confirmed. Then you’re divorced!

NoMackerel · 07/06/2023 22:37

I've just found this thread on a google search, trying to find out how long to get the Conditional Order after applying. I realised after waiting a couple of months, that there is one button I forgot to hit on the Gov website to take it to the CO application (doh!).

Hopefully it will only take a few weeks like many of you have experienced. The house is going up for sale now so I'm hoping we can get our Financial Agreement drawn up (just agreed it through mediation) and submitted in line with the CO being granted.

I have a hunch our house will sell quickly😨

Hi I have applied for Conditional order today, anyone else currently in same situation as me? If so when did you apply and if it has been granted.. how long did it take?

I am trying figure out what current situation is with the courts in regards to amount of time it could take.

Thank you

nably · 02/08/2023 12:14

Hi my solicitor is uploading the conditional order, D81 and Legal charge on the portal today. She has estimated 1-2 weeks which she has experienced lately without any questions from the Judge, I am really hoping she is right. Cant exchange on my house until I get the financial settlement!

Danidutch · 02/08/2023 14:39

1 or 2 weeks sounds good, I have heard some could take upto 10 weeks.

My solicitor said my case won't be done till November at how things are going?

That's conditional order applied then accepted. After that 6 weeks and 1 day wait. Then final order. All this could be done in November he said.

Anyone else on here going through conditional order stage or recently applied final order to give us your experience?

Thank you

@nably do you mean you can't exchange on your former matrimonial home without financial settlement agreed? Or is this a new house, your name only, you are talking about?
