Just a take on the thread that has been set up regarding ugly men, any one find any ugly women attractive?
I'm going to have a think..
Was Margaret Thatcher one in her prime? Sandra Bernhardt? (I know she is gay) karen Brady I always think is odd looking but nice.

you know I was watching Corrie last night and was struck that Liz looks like Lilly Savage !!! A glamorous man in drag !

I think a lot of the women mantioned here are what my nan used to call "striking" or "stunning" - so not naturally pretty - but really catch your eye !

It's difficult, because if they are attractive to some degree then surely by definition they are not ugly.

Interestingly a female friend of mine and I went through both our CD collections once, looking for unattractive singers - people who haven't sold themselves necessarily on sex appeal.

She found plenty: Shane MacGowan, John Lydon, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Bob Dylan... loads more.

But I could not find a single female pop/rock artist who I didn't fancy to some extent. Even just a little bit. What does this show?

janis was not conventionally pretty and if she didn't have that rocknroll allure/style no-one would have looked twice. I mean, imagine her in a plain large t-shirt and hair scraped back into a bun....

that's nuts. kirstie allsopp is conventionally attractive and i think would have been so at any point in history. she's lush.

Am surprised that nobody has mentioned Mrs Beehive, aka Amy Winehouse.
