Pubic hair

Asking the dads on here and the ladies too if they have an opinion. Pubic hair on men, yes or no, thinking about removing to see if DW likes it and yes it would be simpler to just ask but she probably wouldn’t give an opinion

I don’t like pubic hair on men or myself ..
Like very, very neatly trimmed would be my preference on a guy ..
I think pubic hair is unhygienic ..
I’m sorry OP , I find it odd you can’t ask your wife’s opinion, why can’t you ask her if you don’t mind me asking?

I can ask her, just know she wouldn’t have an opinion

So if she doesn't have an opinion then surely you do what you want to do with your body hair 🤷‍♀️

Oh 🤷🏻‍♀️..
You’d imagine she’d have a preference …

BipolarBabe34 · 30/09/2025 15:08

Oh I can’t stand pubic hair it’s grim. Take it off.

ExpertInAbsolutelyZero · 30/09/2025 19:28

What have you decided to do? If it helps, I mentioned it to my wife many years ago and she was not keen on me shaving my pubic hair. She actually said that I should be more hairy than her and she was definitely not shaving hers! I hadn’t asked her to do that. I did shave mine, all my body hair actually, because I had started being a life model and thought the artists would prefer a clean slate - they didn’t care one way or the other. My wife found that she liked my new look so I’ve stayed that way.

A fully grown and fully developed vulva is different to a child's, After puberty, the labia become more easily visible as their prominence increases. As a woman continues to grow more mature, there is also an increase in labial thickness and length. If you are seriously comparing a prepubescent vulva to that of a grown woman, you are the creepy one sexualising children.

Edited

100% this. ^ I always shudder when I see creepy, sinister comments like 'you look like a pre-pubescent child with no pubes, even if you're 35,' because it's a weird af comment. Speaks volumes about that person's mind. 😬 A grown woman with no pubes looks NOTHING like a pre-pubescent child, and why would anyone even make that comparison? Or even think this when seeing a grown woman with a shaved pubic area?!!! Incredibly creepy. 😳

Not in porn though.women in porn often have tiny inner labia.

How much porn do you watch to know that?

Tidied things up but not removed, underarms, back ,top of neck too ,bit like a garden hedge, sometimes you have to trim things back

I'm not upset 🙄🙄

'shaved on men is better' Is phrased like fact, not opinion, but could you please stop @ me as I'm really not interested in continuing to go back & forth with you over something so bloody trivial.

If it's so trivial why did you comment on it in the first place?

The one which mentioned the size difference of a grown woman’s inner labia- the ones seen in porn tens to be barely visible. Normally women don’t look like that- but then again - it’s porn isn’t it .

FateAmenableToChange · 27/09/2025 12:17

Trimmed about 1cm long

Agree with this.

Have we gone off topic? A question about men’s pubic hair has morphed into a discussion about women's labia 🤔

I think people were commenting on how a grown woman's pubic area looks nothing like that of a child. Inner labia is irrelevant.

As OP will have been aware that it would when he posted on a site of mostly women. Dadsnet isn’t used much, but does appear on active, so obviously most posters replying will be women. I’m sure he is hating all the women about their bodies. 🧐

I’m quite new on here, was really wondering if that kind of thread drift was normal, I wasn’t criticising, honest.

Threads do go off on tangents often, but I’m suspicious of OPs motives here. He’s a bloke that posts often on the sex board and is now with an audience of a lot of women discussing his pubes.

As you’re here longer, you will realise that mumsnet get a certain type of male poster posting.

ExpertInAbsolutelyZero · 02/10/2025 17:40

@TalkingToDogs thanks for the eye opener. I replied as a bloke, trying to be helpful. Looks like I’ve been naive 🤦‍♂️

I’ve often read posts from very nice men looking for advice regarding their children , some more advice on relationships, property buys , lots of diff stuff , so to say something like “ Mumsnet attracts a certain type of men “ , isn’t quite fair , it’s obvious you’re saying that negatively toward men …

TheSaltedCaramelPath · 02/10/2025 18:39

Having spent the past decade or so in the company of German naturists in the Med, as a female I can say shaved and clean looking there is the norm. (And for me looks normal now) (Considered for good hygiene reasons in naturist/sauna situations I gather).

The abnormal one’s appear to me resemble an overgrown badly kept nest of a European Eagle Owl - that could be holding various plastics and detritus that washed in on the tide 😃

I also post extensively on issues from mental health to dogs, books, tv and everything in between, as I’m sure you know as you seem to follow my posts so extensively, website design isn’t easy, but maybe MN admins might look at making dadsnet a separate and extensive site then I can happily put posts on there without upsetting people and I’m not sure anyone has specifically discussed my pubes, rather answered a general question of yes or no, but as we also know, men aren’t allowed an opinion

I haven’t said they’re all like it, but many are. Unfortunately.

I’ve been here a long time and have seen too many I’m afraid.
