sparklymieow · 30/09/2005 18:27

sparklymieow · 30/09/2005 18:28

Not silly girls, they are quite hard actually!! hehe!! Love the bit when one is fighting the 'things' and she hears a sound, swings round and stabs her best mate in the neck!!

spursmum · 30/09/2005 18:29

Since when has that stopped them from seeing everything?! They are not innocent lads believe me!!!

sparklymieow · 30/09/2005 18:30

Dropinthe · 30/09/2005 20:42

LOL with bells on! And mine!!!

Dropinthe · 30/09/2005 20:42

BTW -Is Lucy the most common mumsnet name or what?

SleepyJess · 30/09/2005 20:46

God yes! (pardon the pun!) Passion of the Christ! I spent the whole film hiding under a blanket crying my eyes out.. (which is very odd for me.. I don't cry..) I have had to block it out since.. can't bear thinking of it, which is why I never thought of it when I first posted on this thread.

I started a thread on Hotel Rwanda a week ago.. very harrowing but excellent film

mrsmoons · 30/09/2005 21:54

Pin head! Pin head! NO!! Flashback time! What was the name of that film? Him and the chappy with no lips freaked me out for years and years ''I'm going to tear your soul. Apart.'' I can't watch any horror films since becoming a mum.
Though I agree with many of your choices,(esp Silence of the lambs, Blair Witch, Missippi Burning etc) I do have to say The Wicker Man is one of my faves (but then, I do have a soft spot for dodgy folk tunes) All togther now ''Summer is a-coming in, louder sing cuckoo...'''

mrsmoons · 30/09/2005 21:55

Has anyone mentioned Natural Born Killers? Saw it years ago at cinema, but CANNOT watch it again.

spursmum · 30/09/2005 21:57

I love this thread!!! But can't think of any more films that freak me out!!

Dropinthe · 30/09/2005 21:59

Wasn't mad on it though have been interested to see how Whatserhername(Cape Fear girl) has been doing with her band-she ROCKS apparently!

spursmum · 30/09/2005 22:04

Juliette Lewis Drop..she is a rock goddess!!!

sansouci · 30/09/2005 22:15

Evil Dead & Nightmare on Elm Street are the 2 scariest i can think of.

Refuse to watch anything diabolic like the Omen.

TwinSetAndPearls · 30/09/2005 22:31

Clockwork Orange
Killing Fields

But the most shocking was the Cohen Brother's Kids - i felt dirty leaving the cinema.

TwinSetAndPearls · 30/09/2005 22:34

Charleypops and Bouj, do you not think that the tap dancing scene in Kids is one of the funniest film scenes ever?

lalaa · 30/09/2005 22:36

Nightmare on Elm Street - I was far too young and it's imprinted on my brain as a result. Real life example of why the films are rated for age! Completely avoid horror films as an adult.
Aracnaphobia was the scariest 12 rated film I have ever seen.

missfusspot · 30/09/2005 22:37

Schindlers List
Cape fear
The Ring
Nightmare on Elm Street
Pyscho with some one Bates
and all the Halloween ones

mrsmoons · 30/09/2005 22:42

I generally like the Cohen brothers. haven't seen Kids. Should I?

sansouci · 30/09/2005 22:44

Norman Bates.

Yeah, Halloween was p. scary.

TwinSetAndPearls · 30/09/2005 22:56

MrsMoons I think Kids is a fantastic if disturbing film = so yes watch it especially if you are a Cohen brothers fan
