As far as a film not leaving you it has to be Sophie's Choice for me. And I haven't even seen it! Only the clip of her at the station where she has to make a split decision over which child to keep and which to send to the concentration camp. I saw the clip when my dd (my second child) was a few weeks old and it has really haunted me since.
Now, that's truly scary!

Schindlers List
Hotel Rwanda

Can't think of 5

Marina · 26/09/2005 13:32

The Andromeda Strain
Picnic at Hanging Rock (I was 13 )
Les Diaboliques
The 400 Blows

Socci, agree with you that Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet is truely disturbing. And Sleepers.

Sybil
Trainspotting (esp the bit with the baby)

Event Horizon

Schindlers List

Salems Lot

Alive

Resevoir Dogs,,(I had to walk out!!)

Chloe55 · 26/09/2005 13:46

Yeah Sleepers has to be in there. Also A Time To Kill and anything about serial killers. I saw an advert for that too cupcakes it just looks heartbreaking.

Oooh, and the original Manchurian Candidate, and The Deer Hunter.
Some of Enid's I have not seen precisely because I thought they'd scare me too much.

Enid · 26/09/2005 13:51

AI??

Event Horizon??

fastasleep · 26/09/2005 13:52

The Ring?!.... The blair witch project wasn't in the slightest bit scary or disturbing.. ok I'm going to stop chuckling at you now!

(I've been exposed to far too many horror movies from a very young age..)

milosmum · 26/09/2005 13:52

Sleepers
Blue Velvet
Last House on the Left

spacedonkey · 26/09/2005 13:53

Boys Don't Cry with Hilary Swank. Unspeakably depressing.

CarolinaMoon · 26/09/2005 13:53

ooh, Sybil is pretty haunting - it was supposed to be a true story as well, wasn't it?

fastasleep · 26/09/2005 13:55

Sybil is a true story, the book is used in training for mental health professionals, I find the book more haunting actually!

spacedonkey · 26/09/2005 13:55

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is pretty disturbing too imo, as well as being brilliant.

Enid · 26/09/2005 13:56
