Will be brief, daughter due to be sent down. Any one have a clue what to pack? Do we pack a bag? I've looked on line and it's a bit vague . Any help greatly appreciated.

Stay strong op. I'm sorry your dd is going through this. She sounds very vulnerable as most of the female prison population is. Flowers

iogo · 19/01/2017 04:26

Flowers OP. I hope she matures and takes the time inside to turn herself around. She's very lucky to have you. X

Audreyhelp · 19/01/2017 04:29

I think prison maybe a good thing . It will get her away from partner and maybe get some help.
Good luck with tomorrow .

ohjessie · 19/01/2017 04:30

Drinks, as someone who was a troubled teen once, you sound like an incredible mum. Flowers

Groovee · 19/01/2017 05:13

Oh OP huge hugs x

Caken · 19/01/2017 07:53

Oh sorry OP Flowers. I hope somehow it all turns things around for the better for her but for you as well - you deserve better than all of this. And I hope one day she realises what a wonderful mum she has.

The ex sounds utterly toxic.

Foldedtshirt · 19/01/2017 08:01

Thinking of you today OP 💞

YorkshireTree · 19/01/2017 08:21

I'm so sorry for all the stress you are going through OP. Hopefully prison will give her space to reexamine her life away from the corrosive influences she is surrounding herself with currently.

I hope (against hope) court goes well today.

DearMrDilkington · 19/01/2017 09:43

Oh drinksFlowers. Sorry to hear your update. You must be so stressed and worried at the moment, please remember to look after yourself during all of this. Make sure you have real life support too.

KnittingOnEmpty · 19/01/2017 10:10

Just wanted to add my virtual support. Look after yourself too. Flowers

ohtheholidays · 19/01/2017 10:53

Oh shit Drinks,I hope you've managed to get some sleep.

Fingers crossed the time away from the idiot GF may end the relationship and give your Daughter the push to make things better for herself.

Good luck with today Flowers

Thinking of you op xx

WellErrr · 19/01/2017 11:15

You sound like a very good mum Flowers

FruitCider · 19/01/2017 11:18

Oh no I really wish I had seen this yesterday!

Get the following items to her as soon as you can

Watch
Radio
Underwear
Clothes (if remanded she can still wear her own clothes until sentenced)
Deodarent, toothpaste, shower gel, toothbrush, make up, hair bands
Pens, paper, envelopes, pencil crayons
Books
Magazines

You sound like a lovely mum x

drinkswineoutofamug · 19/01/2017 11:21

I've not heard anything. Ironic that I was only asking for advice then this happens.

As for her meds, a reception nurse will confirm her medication with her community gp and task the prison doctor to prescribe it all. We are very used to organising medication for new prisoners, she will be looked after in that respect.

Introvertedbuthappy · 19/01/2017 11:35

Oh OP, you sound like a great Mum. Best of luck for you and your daughter today Flowers.

drinkswineoutofamug · 19/01/2017 11:46

When I hear off police about court and IF I can get there in time, I will take a rucksack with some bits in.

OP posts:
Natsku · 19/01/2017 11:51

She is very lucky to have you as her mum. I hope something good comes out of this in the end (e.g. getting out of that relationship which sounds quite dysfunctional) and hope its not too tough for her in prison, sounds like there are quite a few factors involved which led to this so I wouldn't place too much blame on her.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 19/01/2017 11:54

Oh god ! The ex obviously has a fair bit of influence over her , she sounds very controlling ( been through all this with DD). If only they had enough confidence and self worth to see this, but they are young and there is time for them to mature and hopefully learn.

Massive hugs Op Flowers

mortificado · 19/01/2017 12:14

I don't have any words but Flowers for you.

drinkswineoutofamug · 19/01/2017 12:15

Phoned the police they said she's due in court at 1pm and gave me an area, but not which court! As I knew her charges they confirmed them.

drinkswineoutofamug · 19/01/2017 12:16

I will keep you all updated.

Nothing useful to add but I'm thinking of you Flowers
