My Irish teacher in school was from Tyrone.

I mean, they're not going to stop teachers getting jobs because of their accent.

It's not just a different accent though - the whole dialect is different. Pronunciations are completely different and some words are too. Eg 'madra' is 'madadh' in Ulster dialect. Adh is pronounced as "ooh" so madoo not "mada" in Ulster. Caoineamh isn't " ag queena" it's pronounced "ag keenu"

PurpleDiva22 · 21/01/2025 12:37

Yes we all agree. There's no need to keep saying it 😅 Nikki would've found another way, she's been at it long before instagram existed

I think it is extremely important to say it as the two johnnies are doing interviews now about how social media sites need to be improved.

It's very relevant.

Yeah it's a different dialect. But sure you can't stop someone from teaching because of their dialect.

We had a German teacher from Germany. She told us that they said things in her region of Germany that they don't say in other regions.

Applecharm25 · 21/01/2025 12:41

I think they've improved qualifications into teaching now. I think now you have to do a 2 years masters degree in education after your degree.

I hope it's improved. Jesus back when I was in school, and they had to do a degree and a one year hdip, a lot of the teachers were absolutely useless.

I remember my English teacher telling me that she didn't want to be a teacher. She had wanted to be a journalist. But that career didn't work out for her

almay · 21/01/2025 12:47

I was glad to see that Tattle is opening up new regs but I agree it’ll just be non stop new accounts for “Nikki”.

ColadhSamh · 21/01/2025 12:48

It's sad to see such an important topic which should be discussed becoming derailed with such pettiness.
Why are some taking the bait and responding? Just ignore and if it then continues, report

The actions of Niamh indicates she needs help. With modern technology it shouldn't be difficult to connect all her social media accounts and gather evidence. It's good that this is being highlighted but what about those who are too embarrassed to come forward? What effect is it having on them?
As others have indicated this type of behaviour is becoming more prevelant. Time to show it for the dangerous behaviour it is. Messing with people's mental health can have dangerous consequences and it is no laughing matter.

almay · 21/01/2025 13:06

@ColadhSamh I saw a comment elsewhere that said for all we know, someone could have already hurt themselves over this and it’s just not been made public. Plenty of people would be too embarrassed to ever admit they got caught out, particularly if they sent intimate photos

How exactly is Me talking about instagram security needing to be improved: "derailing the thread?

You do see that the OP has written it aswell, yes?

Was she derailing the thread when she wrote it?

Some people are utterly bizarre. Your posts make no sense.

I agree with your last point. This type of behaviour has become all too prevalent.

Online bullying, online harassment and catfishing is now happening on way too big of a scale

Yeah but it would be very confusing for the kids who have been taught the Munster or Connaught dialect until now. To suddenly be hearing new pronunciations. But perhaps she knows which words and accents to change.

I thought the 2 johnnies handled it very well yesterday. They used the first 15 mins of their show to highlight that she's STILL doing it, and for GAA players to watch out. And then finished off by saying they have been told loads of stories of men and women getting catfished and will do another episode on that another time. They will use their platform to highlight other stories but are rightly giving this particular story it's time to try warn people about this nutjob. She is very very dangerous! She has to be stopped somehow.

Online security is certainly a whole topic in itself, and a worthy one. But this thread really is about one individual, with some pretty deep issues and her ability to lie, deceive, manipulate people. Some of her actions were "in the flesh", not on Instagram at all (Nikki's breakfast and trip to Tipp with JB, lies to the barman about a boyfriend, etc). So sure, these fake online accounts of hers were a vessel for her actions, most of them, but there's a lot more going on here.

Right I'll move back to talking about this specific woman as that's what people want to discuss at this moment.

She is definitely on the extreme end of catfishing.
Strange that she constantly targeted gaa players with fake profiles.
Did she want attention?

Did she not think that she was good enough herself to get a gaa player? I mean it's odd -what does anyone get out of it

I also saw an irish woman online post on tiktok (I forget her name , ill call her Amy) that nikki had stolen her photos. She said that nikki had also texted HER in the past

Amy said that she was in Marbella in Spain. She said that nikki saw her on instagram, and sent her a text saying "I'm coming to marbella next week. My boyfriend is playing in the all ireland gaa semi final. He's not happy that I'm not there to support him. But ill cheer him on in spain" she then asked Amy to meet up with her in Spain

Amy agrees, in an irish girls abroad agreeing to meet up kind of way. Then Nikki cancelled. Then later on, nikki used Amy's photos to make a fake profile.

I mean that's so bizarre. What was she even getting out of doing that. She seemed to have been obsessed with the idea of having a GAA boyfriend

PurpleDiva22 · 22/01/2025 10:30

On the latest ep of the podcast they explained she kinda befriended people online to get info out of them to use on the person she was catfishing to make the profile more believable. I'd love to know what her weekly screen time is 😅

OP posts:
Applecharm25 · 22/01/2025 10:32

It's weird that she seems to think GAA players are absolute gods.

I knew a few girls in college who would have liked to have gone out with county players. But they weren't totally obsessed.
And they would have actually gone and talk talked to them if they saw them out.

I mean why not just go and TALK to a gaa player. They're human .

What is she gaining from being in a fake online relationship with a gaa player.
It's so odd. She is like a fantasist.

Applecharm25 · 22/01/2025 10:35

You'd think that there must be some mental issues there, but then she's competent enough in the rest of her life to become a teacher and keep her job.

It's odd.

But then on the other side we have been taught to see teachers, doctors etc as respectable professions.

But of course those professions can have some deviant people working in them aswell

Thornybush · 22/01/2025 11:35

She really needs to start writing for a soap opera. All these characters and deaths 🤣

Applecharm25 · 22/01/2025 11:39

What a waste of someones time .

I've never catfished anyone. I couldn't be bothered! I don't think most people would ve bothered.

Also you'd imagine if anyone did it, it might be teens doing it

But she was an adult professional woman doing it.

loropianalover · 22/01/2025 16:25

She’s done so many deranged things - following that guy to a shop in England to take a secret pic of him so it looks like they were there together, using peoples kids pics, pretending one of her ‘characters’ had died but her friends still wanted to go to a match the next day, accusing people of abuse and rape…

But I just can’t get over the fact she walked into that pub looking scruffy as fuck in an ugly 4th Arq fleece and told the barman that she was going out with some GAA boy/county player. Like has the delusion fully crossed the wires in her head that she believes she looks like those stunning girls? She clearly started this whole catfishing thing because she thinks she’s not up to standard for these boys - and clearly the people in the pub thought the same because they took pics of her and knew something was off - yet she’s in public chatting to barmen about her ‘boyfriend’?? That plus the fact she’s still showing up to work bold as brass surely shows she needs some serious intervention.

FiFTM · 22/01/2025 22:47

Is she still going into work?? Surely the lads would be giving her dog's abuse over this, how could you teach?! Madness but definitely not the end of it, she won't stop until she's sectioned or imprisoned!

Thornybush · 23/01/2025 09:03

All that stalking was so creepy. Following a man around Liverpool taking photos of him, it's terrifying. And how she lured Johnny B back to the house, she could have poisoned him or anything. Complete unhinged nutjub is what she is.

I see that Tattle has closed down 😱

Thornybush · 23/01/2025 09:19

OK it's back again, I can't keep up!

Applecharm25 · 23/01/2025 13:13

I think if i was a teacher, I'd be mortified going into teaching teenagers after the two johnnies podcast.

The teens will definitely be saying loads to her

Pablova · 26/01/2025 14:31

I only caught up on this on Friday thanks to the storm and having a couple of hours to wile away the time.
The tattle thread is eye opening and also very entertaining, as tattlers outed ‘Nikki’ and her multiple user names.
How did she find the time is what I find most bizarre.

Burish · 28/01/2025 18:48

PurpleDiva22 · 18/01/2025 18:11

I think their concern for the wellbeing of the multiple men she has emotionally manipulated, the multiple men she has made false allegations about and the men she to get money off took preference

Agree.

The mental health of this age group of men is uniquely vulnerable as they often dont speak out and there are catastophic consequences.
