Anyone listening? Mental stuff!!!!

She's probably creaming herself with all the publicity 😁

Applecharm25 · 18/01/2025 20:42

Well I just listened to the start of the podcast part 3 and johnny says "we called the police in northern ireland to do a wellness check on her".

So we know that she lives in Northern Ireland.

So that was an identifying detail.

Edited

Supposedly from NI but working in Dublin.

There's nearly 2 million people in Northern Ireland, it's not that identifying. The boys aren't stupid. They'll have themselves well covered. It would make me violently ill with anger if she got to sue them over this, and nobody could sue her for the years and years of shit she has done!

Mummyindublin · 18/01/2025 21:01

I felt the latest podcast was very measured... undoubtedly they will have had legal advice, along with that of the psych... They were so careful and stuck to the facts so good luck to NF if she does try to sue them

GrettaGreen · 18/01/2025 21:09

Apologies Apple. I totally accept there's no way anyone can know if you or someone else on here is the catfish. I shouldn't have guessed it was you. I'm sorry I upset you.

I'll rephrase:

The catfish lured someone to a house under false pretences. They asked someone for their bank details pretending to be someone else. Allowed people to think they were in a relationship with her for years. Solicited intimate pictures of people through manipulation. It was awful behaviour by someone either very unwell or very nasty. But sure who knows who it could be 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I'm sure they got legal advice before it aired.

Yes huge amounts of men do it.

As I said, i joined sn Irish facebook group 2 years ago

The Facebook group is called:

"Are we seeing the same guy - dublin'.

This page was set up as a safety procedure, where women talk about men's tinder profiles.

It was started in America as a safety idea. And now there is a page for each country. There is now one for ireland. And it's very active

So a woman will post a photo of a man she is talking to on tinder. And they will ask have any other women heard anything good or bad about this person.

If you look at the page, there are so many posts where women ask about a man.
And someone will reply that it's a fake profile.

Eg. A woman will say "I'm chatting to this man john 35 single from meath" does anyone know anything about him, or been chatting to him?"

And someone will reply. "His name is not john. That man's name is Dave . He's friends with my cousin. I think someone has stolen his photo to make a fake tinder profile'

or theyll say. "Thats a fake profile. I searched that image for you and its not john in dublin, its a male model in USA with a different name

Go on that Facebook page - if you want to see how many tinder profiles are fake in ireland. There are loads.

Edited

You are 100% the catfish herself.
Your writing style is identical to another profile on Tattle that everyone thinks is also the catfish. The way you space out your paragraphs and start sentences with "And" is exactly the same. Quite unusual to start a sentence with "And" so it's easily spotted!!

Applecharm25 · 18/01/2025 19:55

Also I'm still totally disgusted at this post.

She didn't say "you could be the catfish" to me jokingly.

She wrote this to me

'You lured someone to a house under false pretences. Asked someone for their bank details pretending to be someone else. Allowed peope to think they were in a relationship with you for years. Solicited intimate pictures of people thrpugh manipulation. Awful behaviour."

Imagine accusing me of soliciting intimate pictures from someone. This post is utterly disgusting. And I've reported it.

Luckily I'm mentally strong.

But don't go accusing innocent people of being the catfish on here or on other forums.

Less mentally strong people than me would get extremely upset.

I tell you what's weird. You quoting that word for word including the spelling mistake AFTER mumsnet deleted it from everyone's view.

No Gretrageeen, I copied and quoted it before mumsnet deleted it.

Do you seriously think that your words are that amazing that Id memorise them?

The spelling mistake is in it , because I copied and pasted it, OBVIOUSLY.

When I think your posts couldn't possibly get any weirder, you manage to get them to be even weirder.

Do you think that you need to get help?

How utterly bizarre that you would think that people would memorise your words.!

The spelling mistake that you made is in it, because I copied and pasted it.

I mean how does that even need to be pointed out to an adult

I think that you are the catfish @Lavenderpants

I think that you're accusing someone else, to get any attention off yourself...

Suspicious...

Wouldn't make sense though would it, since I just created this account so that I could announce my suspicions of you after having followed the Tattle threads closely but unable to comment as Tattle is full!

Queenbee/Goujon/Nikki you need help

You seem to be very interested in a thread about the GAA catfish on here, but yet so new to any knowledge of it including apparently not having listened to all the podcasts relating to it nor having come across the famous Tattle thread before!

That's exactly what the catfish would say.

I one hundred percent think that you're the catfish!

You're deflecting onto others so no one looks at you.....

I've never even looked at tattle until after you mentioned it there. I went to have a look now . It's an interesting thread alright. Lots of photos.

Yet you have been there on Tattle, and now you are also here on this thread.

Very Suspicious.. hi niamh!

I'm just reading through that tattle thread.

there are names of some of the footballers.

Just to clarify for anyone else reading. My post was repasted well after it was deleted AND after Apple had made multiple other replies ie I think the statement bluntly naming the things done was c+p elsewhere.

I was literally just mindlessly washing the dishes, after leaving the thread when the weirdness of this occured to me.

I copied and pasted your post, before your post was deleted.

If you left the thread , how could you have seen what time your post was deleted?

. I didn't report your post straight after you wrote it. I reported your post a good bit later on.

This is so bizarre, I don't even know why I'm replying to it to be honest. Such a strange comment for you to even make!

But to say - for a third and final time.

I copied and pasted your post, BEFORE your post was deleted.

I think it's fair to say "Nikki" has very serious mental health problems, and is definitely on multiple threads on different sites using multiple personas trying to defend her actions, but is that just for more of the attention than she craves? She needs psychiatric help, but also should be held legally responsible for what she's done. I don't know if the false rape and assault accusations are a crime as they weren't made to police, but surely a case of slander, and the attempt to get bank details must be fraud. She obviously has a chip on her shoulder about high profile GAA players, either she feels she's not good enough for them, or maybe has been rejected in the past? I remember girls being called jersey pullers back in the day in college, its a status thing. Her whole thing has got vibes similar to incels, taking her own insecurities and perceived failings and putting the blame onto other people. She will not stop until she is physically stopped from doing this, which will hopefully happen soon, and then maybe she will accept some of the mental health treatment she needs. This is not a sympathetic post btw, I hope she gets what's coming to her! But if we feel anyone on this thread is "Nikki", maybe we should just ignore those posts and not engage, because I think engagement is what she feeds off... Just a thought.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 20/01/2025 12:59

Applecharm25 · 18/01/2025 20:08

There is a problem with the GAA in Irish society. In my opinion

The GAA players are treated like gods. It's not healthy

Yes, I listened to the podcast yesterday and speaking as someone from Dublin who has little to no knowledge of GAA it struck me that both Johnnie's had clearly had their egos pampered by that culture to the point where they would not really question a random beautiful girl being mysteriously attracted to them Grin.

However I think the identity of "Nicky" needs to be known to prevent future harm, and indeed is known - her name and hometown are on Tattle. It is easy to find photos of her and what school she is or has been teaching at in south Dublin.

It isn't so much the catfishing but the allegations of serious crimes, and the aggressive response when her victims end communication with her.

But do all the men that catfish have serious mental health problems?

What nikki did was very wrong. We've all said that

But i was the one that pointed out that men catfishing women is HUGE in irish society. And it annoys me that it's never talked about. And they get away with it.

I just think this case is another example of our patriarchal society. And I see that people have thanked the post where I said it.

The amount of lads that I've met in ireland - who told me that they make up jobs and fake lives, to get women to have sex with them.

Lads in dublin told me that when they go on holiday to Spain, or go on holiday to another part of ireland, they all pretend to be doctors or lawyers or surgeons.
They'll also pretend that they really like the woman.
Then when the woman has sex with them, they won't speak to her again. And they laugh at her on group chats.

Making up a fake job is catfishing.
