Happy Easter everyone. Yes, it's cold today. We were planning to go for a walk after dinner but we decided against it. Tomorrow doesn't look any better. We've resigned ourselves to watching TV and eating more chocolate instead.

We're with family on the west coast and it's definitely not feeling spring like today. Wet and dull and chilly 🙄

April showers bring forth May flowers. We had to write that in our best handwriting for our really cross teacher when I was seven. It looks nasty and wet tomorrow.

Well Ireland and NI are two separate countries on one island so technically they are right.

President Biden would have opinions on nice spots to visit.

Is the weather ever going to get better?
We were in Spain a few years ago and also went to Gibraltar. I am not going to announce that on the thread though. And if the weather doesn't improve soon I will not advise anyone to visit this island.

We're still annoyed we didn't go to Gibraltar when we were so near @eggandonion

The monkeys are very bold. Gibraltar is very strange. Lots of Fish and Chips and all day Full English and Marks and Spencer.
If I was a u k holiday maker near the border in Ireland I would cross over to see if its different on the other side! (Better cake in the North!)

I just had a look @3luckystars. Sure, I suppose it's the Easter holidays and people have a lot of time on their hands.

Maybe I should venture onto the thread and state my preference for Southern Tayto over Northern Tayto .

The weather is shocking alright. Wouldn't you think they'd have arranged a bit of sunshine for President Biden.

Ten minutes ago I tried to take my dog out. It was cold wet and windy. Now it is sunny and calm. This is a very poor impression for the yanks. Both sides of the border.

So.. the towels...

They arrived yesterday and due to the wind and rain yesterday and today I washed them and had to put them in the dryer.
They're fluffy enough... I'm not sure they're as fluffy as I thought they were going to be though.. I'd like to hang them out on the line and see if that makes any difference..
In summary, I'm pleased with them but not as excited as I thought I'd be..
never thought I'd be getting excited about towels, is this my life now

Rambles off to look for new dinner sets now.. all recommendations welcome- I'm looking to get smaller dinner plates to reduce portion size 🤞🏻

Disembarked from a cruise in Vancouver this morning and was walking around Stanley Park by 8.30am. After lunch went for a nap and slept for a couple of hours. We've been very lucky with the weather though I think it's promised to be wet tomorrow.

I had to pack summer clothes for Vegas, San Diego and LA and warmer clothes for Vancouver. We get home on Sunday.

@halfpasteleven I love the selection of plates in Meadows and Byrne.
