Poor Vicky, and also remembering the other lives lost along the way.
I have flowers on plants that usually flower Jun and July. And bulbs are coming up. My grass is like a jungle, but really to wet to chop.

I felt so sad when I heard the news about Vicky RIP. I really did. It's like we knew her somehow, even though I've never met her. She was a courageous woman and a dignified lady in her fight for her and for us all. May she rest in peace now.

I kind of got the feeling that Meehole was a bit excited by this. His 'I've never been banned from a country before' statement just sounded so childish! Who'd want to go to Russia anyway? He'd far rather New York or Washington for Paddy's Day.

I'm freezing today, for the first time really I feel it's very cold which I suppose is to be expected mid-November! I wonder if the white christmas rumours will be true this year?!

Did anyone watch the Iranian ambassador on Prime Time last night? What an arsehole. He totally denied any wrongdoing regarding the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody. Sitting there smirking. I think Miriam was ready to slap him.

There are some very brave people in Iran, and the football team were also taking a risk.

There were some amazing children on it as there are every year. The little Irish and Ukrainian girls were gorgeous. The musical family of trad players were amazing. Ryan was calmer than in previous years. It's about the kids rather than about the toys and the book reviewers are given no time whatsoever anymore, but other than that, it's a nice show and raises some money for charity.

The granny's band was brilliant. And the grumpy wan at the book bit was a bit odd.
But it was well done, as ever.
The Christmas trees are starting to appear around us. Four weeks to go.

That poor little lad who was attacked by a dog

Horrible incident, I really don't know why people have dogs like that. Even the pettiest pets are so strong, and a lot of them are pets. But if they decide to attack, they don't give up.
Only stupid or nasty people have them. (I know a few rescue staffies who are lovely, but always on lead and with sensible owners).
