Frugal25 · 13/07/2026 19:30

Fingers crossed for your house move @Cuwins I adore moving house. Shout if you need me!!!
How can milk go up over night @RumBananaSundae ridiculous. That job wasn't good enough for you. They were too awful. Keep going hun. Ooohhh cider.
Oh well done on your washing @DirtyGertiefromno30and so glad your mum is ok. Wow on the dining room fancy doing mine??

NSD day for. Had a shocking day at work where I ended up in the ladies in tears. But. In front of the boss, had head held high and even smiled. OH came home with a Greg's sausage roll for me. I have never lived him more. All is right with the world

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 13/07/2026 22:49

Aww, poo on them indeed @RumBananaSundae 😤.
A rejection is so disheartening, but it only takes one yes, so don't let it knock your confidence sweetheart keep it going 💪
Your dining table of doom will still be there tomorrow , no harm in giving it the side eye for another day if you're not feeling it😄
Well done on spotting the milk price rise and getting it cheaper in Aldi. Every but counts. Enjoy the France game tomorrow and that cidre 😋

Hope tomorrow is much kinder to you in work bless you🤗. Thank you for the invite to tidy your dining room but l will have to pass l am busy the next few years 🤣

Afternoon everyone 😊
Mum fine there thankfully, been to the market and library , then Morrisons for a good recce of their GF stuff. Bought a Morrisons gf pizza, just had it now and it was nice tbf. Spent £50 in there, £10 in the market . I am just trying to find what l like in the gf range , feeling my way ATM .
Hope everyone is ok and having a lovely day 🤗.

Well done @DirtyGertiefromno30 you are taking it so sensibly and slowly. Will do you well like that. Glad you enjoyed the pizza.

I've just been for a beautiful 2.5 walk with my longest friend (best mates since 11) and my DD. I paid to get us in and she bought us ice creams at the end.
£5 entry fee.
£2.55 on a mood ring for DD. Managed to talk her out of the £20 toy she wanted.
£10 for yoga later which is needed and will further relax me.

Have decided to stay put at work for now but if they offer redundancy then I'll take it and if I find the perfect job then I'll go for it and leave where I am.

That's it for today.

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 14/07/2026 17:03

You've had a really lovely day from the sound of it @Frugal25 ❤️. A walk with your oldest friend and your Dd, followed by an ice cream , just the ticket sweetheart . Well done for keeping the spending in check too , especially managing to talk your Dd out of the £20 toy, that was inspired 😁.I hope yoga leaves you feeling relaxed and refreshed after that horrible day in work yesterday sweetheart. I also think you've made a sensible decision about work. There's no need to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. Staying put while keeping an eye out for the right opportunity, or taking redundancy if it's offered is a great plan .
I tried the Mrs Crimbles Madelines and they are lovely , l also like the Nairns oaty biscuits so that is 3 things l like already today so it's not so bad 😁💪. Hope everyone has a lovely evening ☺️

NSD here but Tuesdays usually are as we have the morning/early afternoon doing home ed at our friends house so by the time we are done it’s time to relax at home.

RumBananaSundae · 14/07/2026 18:02

No spend day for me today.

Sorry about your Monday @Frugal25. We should have married billionaires and not have had to bother with pesky things like work and the Piguanas that go with it. Sounds like you had a better day today. Hope you’re holding onto that and feeling OK. Enjoy yoga.

The dining table remains untouched @DirtyGertiefromno30. Thought of you earlier as TGTG delivery has 18 packets of Mrs Crimbles gluten free cheese crackers for £15.99. Glad your mum is doing ok.

Had an ok day today. Worked on an application this morning and watched the Bastille Day parade (on the television unfortunately not in person). Had two ice creams. My leg is complaining about not going to the gym. Would like to watch the France game this evening but I’ve already nodded off on the sofa so not rating my chances.

Frugal25 · 14/07/2026 18:11

I keep nodding off too @RumBananaSundae it's the heat I think.
I absolutely agree we should have married billionaires. You reckon it's too late to change tactic??? Where does one find a billionaire also? Are they sold in tesco?
Glad you had an ok day too. If I remember you also have Tues off? Gym can be done another day. Xx
You are having a brilliant time by the sounds of it @DirtyGertiefromno30
Sampling all these new and delicious foods. I wonder what else you will find!! Xx

Rubytwoshoose · 14/07/2026 18:46

A NSD for me too. Probably because I wasn't out to be tempted.

Ovoemconserva · 14/07/2026 19:43

£27 in Aldi but I brought lunch box bits four meals and some fruit and milk. It's rediculous! But got to be honest could definitely spend much much less if I was willing to have less enjoyable food im fortunate enough that I don't need to.

Man I want a billionaire next time.

Rubytwoshoose · 14/07/2026 19:48

Knowing my luck, I'd meet a billionaire and he'd be stingy with money and want to spend mine 😂

Ovoemconserva · 14/07/2026 19:58

Haha very true id probably meet the shein version

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 14/07/2026 20:18

Two ice creams are definitely a necessity in this heat @RumBananaSundae🍦🍦 😁😋 Hope the application went well, and I bet the Bastille Day parade was lovely . I will have a look at that on You Tube later . Your leg is probably reminding you who's boss , rest it up tonight and look after yourself sweetheart. Hopefully you'll manage to stay awake for at least some of the France game.
We are glued to it 😁.
Well done on the NSD too and to you too @Cuwins💪👏😊
Thank you for the heads up about the Mrs Crumbles crackers on TGTG too l would be er have thought of looking there !

@Frugal25 aw thank you for being so positive for me , l am doing my best to sample the good stuff , hopefully not all in one day though , l have overdone it a bit today 😂. Re the billionaires , we need to be seen in the right places , F1 grand Prix , football matches , gallery openings , theatres , operas , ballets ,oh and here's a cracker, polo matches and the races . Smacks a bit of Pretty Woman and my Fair Lady 🤣
I could have danced all night 😂

I don’t know if she has tried the cafe ones, this is one from the bakery section

Frugal25 · 15/07/2026 18:03

NSD for me here. I'd def pick the stingy shein version of a billionaire. Best I leave that wishful thinking and just aim for a millionaire!! Ha ha ha

Last few days before pay day. I'm limping my way there so have stripped shopping list right back for this week and all the things that can wait I've added to next week's list.

Last day at pre school for DD today. I copes pretty well. Patting self on back. I also coped well at work today and smiled my way through it. Another pat for me.

Is everyone geared up for tonight? I won't watch, but I shall be listening out for the roars from the pub!

Cuwins · 15/07/2026 18:37

Just £110 on car tax for me today. However DP did go to Tesco and pick up some meds he needed plus some snacks for tonight- he doesn’t like football much and is just using it as an excuse for snacks! But I will be watching intently.
DD had her pre school sports day today and we won tickets to a local farm park in the raffle so will save them for the summer holidays

Rubytwoshoose · 15/07/2026 19:41

I met my friend today and we went for a walk by the river and ended up in a lovely rose garden in the park.

A grand total of £2 spent today. £1.80 on a bottle of water as I'd forgotten my one from home and I managed to get a yellow sticker loaf for 20p.

I haven't watched any of the football, but I'll be rooting for England to win tonight.

RumBananaSundae · 15/07/2026 20:07

£2.24 today in Marks and Spencer on two punnets of yellow stickered strawberries.

Nope @Frugal25. It’s never too late. Not sure where to find one. Oh wow last day at pre-school. That’s a milestone. Sure it was handled like a pro. Glad you got through work today.

I like watching the parade @DirtyGertiefromno30. The band played the theme from The Avengers. When I was at the Élysée they played Star Wars. Forget billionaires Macron is a millionaire I’d be more than happy with.

Ohh @Rubytwoshoose a 20p loaf is a good find.

Quiet day today. Trying to get some work tied up but not making much progress. Checked my diary and have a meeting with my tosser of a boss tomorrow. I’d thought it was next week so hadn’t started bracing myself.
