Thank you @DirtyGertiefromno30. Have had a restful day so far. Feeling much better for it and am hoping for much of the same tomorrow. I saw mince pies in Sainsbury’s earlier this week. It was still August.

The TGTG deliveries are good if it’s something you’d use @Twogingercats and @Lockin26. I had a Belazu one before and am still working my way through that. At one point they had boxes of about 60 cream eggs.

Think I’ve bought a lifetime supply of colouring books. My friend sent me one and some pens and I’m enjoying it so I bought a few more books.

@DirtyGertiefromno30 I agree there's some lovely Christmas lines from Home Bargains. I was in earlier and nabbed a North Pole Bakery gingerbread house wax burner at £2.99. I'll get some wax melts from my local candle place which will likely bring out some Christmas lines 🩷

Thanks for asking about the bee sting, the infected area has more or less gone and I've managed to exercise on it this morning no problem (could not walk for long last weekend without my ankle swelling up 😱). On the mend as my DM used to say.

A NSD for me yesterday. We deep cleaned DD room, went to the park with a skimmer and then I popped to a friends for a chat and to show off blingy ringy. These 2 friends I've known since I was 11 and they were thrilled for me. one chatted non stop for 4 hours after that with no breather so I left with a bit of a headache. But she obviously needed to get things off her chest bless her.
Off to a child's birthday party today, I nabbed a gift from the Christmas pile that I've got already so it should be another NSD. (I'll replace the gift on pay day) I'll take water with me too so Im not tempted by the onsite cafe. Then just some diy around the house I think.

Fairly low spends yesterday on paper, lottery ticket and lunch for work £8.10. Then in the evening splashed out £19.18 on takeaway kebab to share with DH. It's the first time we went with a tray of meat, salad, chips, sauce and pitta breads plus extra cheesy chips. It was a far better deal but we have decided that we were gluttonous with the chips so next time we'll buy in the pitta breads skip the extra chips and grate our own cheese for cheesy chips. 😋
Hoping that if I don't go out today that it will be a NSD but not promising anything!! 😊
Spent this morning belatedly updating finance spreadsheets - had already done the necessary moving money around when it was pay day. Need to bank some money at the post office but temptation looms if I go out!! So gonna make a milky coffee and catch up on here instead!! Happy Sunday all!!

Well l haven't spent today but the gf
fish n chips was £32 for us 3 last night 😱.
That was 2 cod n chips and a sausage in batter n chips , they even had gf vinegar but it tasted lovely and no different really, so we will do that again. Mum was ok there thankfully 😊. Watching the Italian Grand Prix now . Have a good day everyone 🤗

What kind of colouring do you like @Frugal25? I bought The Bayeux Tapestry colouring book but didn’t think about it as it’s colouring on both sides. Well done on the no spend. How was your party?

Got some yellow stickered eggs in Asda so might try making egg curry for this week. My new colouring pen set arrived. It has 204 colours so it has hastily been put back in the box until I can decide how to organise it.

Did another fitness class this morning which was paid for by Dsis. Bungee Super Fly! Frugal but painful in the pelvic area, the harness was tight! My teammates have been warned I may crawl in tomorrow 😂

M&S gift card £34.60. I bought two sports bras to collect this week and have £7 left for lunch tomorrow. I get a discount for M&S through work so I did save £2.40.

Also sold an item on Vinted, plus another for the family pot.

Spending today £12 Sainsburys, cat food.
I spent some nectar points on 3 boxes on regular Milk Tray chocolates and one large box. Both sizes are half price at Sainsburys so the four boxes with the points,cost only £1. Every Christmas our church collects presents for people who would not receive any, so the three boxes are for that. My Mum is getting the big box at Christmas. I don’t grudge paying cash for these presents but it seemed nonsense not to go with the offer.
£12 on a book for my Mum for Christmas. Am trying to be more thoughtful with presents and more savvy with money this year. Have also decided to buy locally as much as I can, to save on postage. Buying online is convenient but expensive.
the freezer challenge continues, chicken and sausages from the freezer in giant yorkshires with carrots and potatoes for the Sunday dinner.

Even papers are dear, aren’t they @Rainbow1961 . Mum limits herself to one on a Saturday chiefly for the TV listings and we both bought the same one yesterday. Mum gave hers to a neighbour, though so no waste.

Well done to your Dsis for footing the bill for the bungee class , even if the harness nearly took you out @Lockin26😱🤣. Stacking your work discount on those sports bras, leaving £7 for a free M&S lunch, and making sales on Vinted is great frugal work well done 👍.

I need to start hoarding @RumBananaSundae. Oohhh I didn't realize there was a tapestry colouring book. I shall google. I just colour in books that people have given me as gifts tbh. I have a Christmas scene one, a swearing cats one, and a random one with swirls that's pretty.

So glad your mum is good @DirtyGertiefromno30 although I admit I didn't realize that vinegar has gluten in it. I need to educate myself a bit better.

I forgot my water to the party didn't I. £3.75 on a coffee. But if was a nice coffee. Party went well and we met another girl who is in DD class so us mums made friends and we pushed the girls together so they did too.
Batch cooked last night for the weeks dinners that are now frozen. But at least full time work will be easier in that way now.

Off to work. Trains are all cancelled. Sigh. Hoping for a NSD but I am meeting a friend for a coffee at lunch. Being selfish, I hope she pays but obviously I shall if it's my turn (I can't remember who's turn it is!)

DH had me up in the night with his ribs hurting him from his mishap in the tip 😱. Anyway managed to get him sorted after an hour on the recliner downstairs but oh dear l am flagging today . Thankfully My sister is visiting Mum so l am able to take it easy this afternoon. Honestly he's fine now but he couldn't get out of bed it was awful . He's such a baby though . l know it's painful but honestly the fuss he was making 😱
Anyway l went shopping to Aldi , Morrisons and Waitrose for this GS l missed the other day .

I bought a few bits extra , flowers for Mum , cheese , prawns and prawn cocktail for DH and some nice Samosas from WR and a curry for him .
They have 20% off their curries and sides ATM in there. Still expensive though l know .
In case l haven't said DH threw his cardboard into the skip and caught his ribs in the railings and had been in the dressing gown of doom ever since 🙄🤣

£37.49 in Home Bargains but that included cat litter, fish food for DHs pond - he has big fish and they are eating loads!! Some food bits and pieces and some toothpaste. Not too bad but I did manage to avoid spending yesterday! Plus cash banked and a few payments to debts paid.

£40 top up in Tesco today on stuff that either didn’t come on the shop or I forgot to add- was in trouble with DD as I forgot ice lollies!
