Good takeaways here! DS has a sesame allergy so we stay away from Chinese, although it's my favourite.

The Indian takeaway was lovely £40 was indeed very cheap as the curries were on 2 for 1 although there was a missing curry and missing onion pilau. It's the 2nd time they've done that so we'll have to change takeaway. I was considering their restaurant for Christmas Day as it is a very good Indian plus they do roasts (it's an old pub) but think I'll need to research that now!

Sorry for hogging all the rain 😄 it's stopped again here and looks like even we'll warm up again next week to 28 and 29. We are North East and rarely get above 25° even on a hot year, so can't imagine how it must feel elsewhere.

All the takeaways sound lovely, we have 2 Chinese near us and one of them does a massive and I do mean massive chicken fried rice (or other meat/veg) for £7.50 which my 4dc often gets between them although we don't get takeaway that often, maybe once a month or so.

Someone mention TGTG bags we used to get them but haven't done it in a while, the only "good" ones near us that do it are coffee shops and it was all pastries which although lovely isn't really what we need.

Has anyone tried the olio reduced food thing? Not sure if it's nationwide but on my olio app it shows reductions at Iceland, I need to pop in one day and see if the reductions match what it says on the app some seem pretty good. Although we are trying to run down the freezer at the moment ready for the move as we won't have a freezer for a while until we we get out new one delivered

Spendy few days here £400 in dentist but it was meant to be over £600 as I needed 2 different things it she said as I was having them at the same time there is only one charge so that was great. We had budgeted for that as I knew the work was needed.

We have 2 meals out planned this week, one is an all you can eat buffet which is very expensive but the kids have been asking for ages and it will be a great experience for them to go up and choose, and we are making a day of it and going to (free) museums in the same place so making a day of it. And then a pub meal out for a family birthday but kids eat free 🙂

Oh no, missing curry and onion pilau again @Lockin26😳 .They’re definitely telling you to find a new Indian . £40 for all that with 2 for1 is a bargain though . I’d be tempted by Christmas Day too tbh , my BF goes to an Indian restaurant for their Christmas dinner 😋 🍽️. Sorry your DS has a Sesame intolerance/allergy that means you have to be very careful bless him .

So sorry. I slipped off the thread for a day. And I remember now that Friday wasn't a NSD.... £15 on paying my mum back as she bought me bits at shops I love but never go to as taking DD would ruin the fun I have there (home bargains, savers, Dunelm)
And £20 on betting my anklet fixed.

Yesterday was, oh god, what did I do? Erm. Oh yes. We went to get DD uniform for school but that m&S branch didn't do it so I got a toy from a charity shop for DD and parking £1.50. then we went out for OH birthday. £42 on meals. OH bought the drinks bless him
Today we managed to get the uniform in a different branch of M&S and OH paid but I then added £40ish online on bits I couldn't find. The school is good, but they give you a choice of 3 different uniforms. I bought all as I wanted DD to be traditional. Which means a separate pe outfit. But then I got the "easy" uniform also which is pe uniform rolled into it (school say the children are more comfy, I think it looks awful) but I don't want her to be traditional and the others in leggings so I've got both and she can wear both. Sigh.
Then £3 on a new glasses case from Vinted. Mine has finally disintegrated.
Managed to sew up my voiles today on my trusty sewing machine too. Yippee. Just need to hang them now.

@DirtyGertiefromno30 I read BF for a second as boyfriend. I had to have another sit down whilst I considered writing to Mr dirty and telling him!!
So glad your mum is on the mend. And another savers fan here too.
@Ovoemconserva we would definitely be best friends (or BF!) and share takeaways and wines and childcare for sure.
Def find another takeaway @Lockin26although I find finding a good one quite tricky. I wouldn't mind some weeds if that's what rain brings!! Ha ha ha. Enjoy the warm weather.

Thanks for asking. She is fine, no infection thankfully. She never had any until this year (never had antibiotics) then she had 4 in 3 months! With a bout of tonsillitis on top! She starts a weeks swimming lessons tomorrow so being cautious as she had a couple of symptoms

Spending was £1.59 in Aldi yesterday on ice cream. Today has been £1.55 in Sainsbury’s on crisps and £3.65 in Aldi on milk and vegetables.

No rain here either @Frugal25. I am going to Kew this week I imagine it will be brown and crispy. Uniform shopping sounds confusing. Wow but that’s a step. X

Thank you @Movinghousemum. With the impending doom I’ve been thinking about looking at Olio. I’ve not used it before. We used to have a community fridge, which was good, but we don’t have it anymore. TGTG can be good here. Marks and Spencer and Waitrose are both on it.

Was meant to be meeting flakey today but she flaked. Was expecting it so not too bothered. Have done some housework. Trying to think about practical things like moving mortgage payments to my savings account but then I start feeling anxious so I’ve parked it for now. Went for a run yesterday and today so feeling a bit better. Watched Sewing Bee. Really liked this episode. And fittingly found a few tins of tomatillos in the cupboard. Remembered I have a sewing machine I’ve never used so might give that a try after September.

Hahahaha re my BF being my boyfriend lol 🤣. He's my very best friend , yes he's a man and we have known each other since the cradle and lived 2 doors away until l married and l love him to bits and he loves me but it's totally platonic and innocent we have never even fancied each other . He's married to my second cousin and she went to school with us and lived a few doors away as well. I would do anything for them both ,he's been so ill all his life and now she is poorly too 😭. l help them out whenever l can . It's a very sisterly love bless him 💕.
Mr Dirty is slightly put out when l am on the phone to them for hours but it's not because he is jealous of him it's because l am too loud for him to listen to the telly 🤣

Funny how quickly we get used to the hot weather after this awfully hot summer .Who would have thought we would be warmer than Turkey this time of the year . My friend has gone on hols there and it's 29C tomorrow and all week and we have been forcast well into the 30's 😱.

Bit irritated by buying the WiFi thing but the signal is much much better so I’m trying to look at it as in the long run it will save my blood pressure. I should get them free from the utility company but I could not face dealing with them. Meeting a friend tomorrow. Fingers crossed I don’t spend much. Have already failed on the cash only this month.

I think the WiFi booster is one of those purchases you just have to put down to saving your sanity unfortunately@RumBananaSundae! But if the signal is much better then hopefully it’ll be worth every penny and save you loads of frustration. ❤️
