Am I wrong to feel the people of this country are using the "Cost of Living" narrative to justify not helping migrants and refugees who seek refuge for themselves? Neglecting our British values, passing the buck to Rwanda and European countries. The attitude towards those fleeing war zones and risking everything to come to this country on harsh waters is outrageous!

I was in the corner shop today and over heard a couple of women making digs about foreigners. To make unjustified claims such as "it makes us unsafe", "we don't have jobs" or my personal favourite - "they don't integrate into society." What on earth has happened to our British values? To make others feel welcome and to help others in need of help!

Every human has a right to safety, affordable housing, food, water, education and a healthcare system. Those are all things our wonderful country can provide and quite frankly has a moral obligation to provide for those coming from other parts of the world that aren't as fortunate as us.

The sheer irony of you accusing others of twisting arguments is off the scale when we can see that that is what you have been doing repeatedly in this thread. You keep trying to move away from the original point because it shows the weaknesses in your argument, and you keep misrepresenting the points that I and others are making. Your problems in using English clearly yourself probably contribute to your difficulty with putting together an argument that actually works. In addition, you really show up the weaknesses in your case when you resort to being patronising.

What is particularly noticeable from your posts is a massive paucity of facts combined with some extraordinary assumptions about other posters' personal lives. A couple of days ago you were confidently talking about crime in my "country of origin", now you're equally confidently talking about the area where I live and my personal motivations for actions you know nothing about. You're making up some sort of fictional world which is irrelevant to this discussion.

Again, absolute nonsense in every sentence. I can only assume that this kind of dramatic twisting wins arguments for you usually when people get tired of your posturing and pointing out the holes in your argument. You’re wrong. Your argument is wrong. You’re either naive or benefitting economically.

Pick a single topic instead of wild accusations and we can see where we stand on it. I’ve already given you clear rebuttals but hopefully this way you don’t have to hide behind your preferred tactic of dismissing me as a person rather than addressing my arguments. It will do you good to come out of your bubble, which has clearly been very cosy, given your near hysteria and knee jerk questioning of my comprehension and language skills at merely being exposed to a different viewpoint.

Again you are making up total fiction about me. It is literally pointless engaging in that.

I’m not ‘making up fiction’, I’m making likely accurate assumptions, to advance our understanding of each other which you are then free to rebut. The topic is the context of how you come to hold the views you do and is entirely relevant to identity politics.

Have you had your head in a hole for the past 2 years at least. People in this country don’t even have affordable housing/ food/ warmth or even health care for themselves! People can’t even find a dentist.
