Am I wrong to feel the people of this country are using the "Cost of Living" narrative to justify not helping migrants and refugees who seek refuge for themselves? Neglecting our British values, passing the buck to Rwanda and European countries. The attitude towards those fleeing war zones and risking everything to come to this country on harsh waters is outrageous!

I was in the corner shop today and over heard a couple of women making digs about foreigners. To make unjustified claims such as "it makes us unsafe", "we don't have jobs" or my personal favourite - "they don't integrate into society." What on earth has happened to our British values? To make others feel welcome and to help others in need of help!

Every human has a right to safety, affordable housing, food, water, education and a healthcare system. Those are all things our wonderful country can provide and quite frankly has a moral obligation to provide for those coming from other parts of the world that aren't as fortunate as us.

I have a problem with women being forced to completely cover themselves, not being allowed out of their home without an escort, with being refused an education, with being beaten to death by religious police for not covering their hair properly, having no political representation, not being considered equal to men.

Well as a Muslim you know only Allah will judge that. I say shame on you because it's people like you who give our religion a bad name and reputation. It makes it harder for others to except us if all they see is a group of people being intolerant and wanting to impose ideals on them that don't match their own beliefs, culture and laws.

As I said there are many countries out there you can go live in that match your thinking. You don't want to because you enjoy the freedom you have here because you know you won't get that anywhere else if you went where those countries preached what you are. At least be honest about that.

Just because I don’t want to live among thousands of young black Islamic African males doesn’t make me a racist ok.
And your ideal of a multicultural England isn’t working either.
This is a Christian country and I for one don’t want to live in a Muslim state which this country is rapidly turning into!

Tell that now to the teachers in hiding . The minority can inflict terrible damage and the majority are deafening in their silence about it .

Well said @ Mummyoflabradors. I not longer believe the diversity rhetoric in the UK. We have mainly muslims and is not going well with their extremists. There are good people as well but many with the entitlement mentality of this poster.
NY to compare is what I see as diverse with people from all over the world but we are not anymore. Also, if it were positive we would see results but we do not see the benefits as many come to be supported by the welfare state.
