Emailed the boss. Am wfh instead of in office tomorrow. Figured even if it’s just a cold I have no one needs to be round my snotty face. Not even I want to be.

Mrsmadevans · 23/01/2022 21:20

Unescorted · 23/01/2022 21:30

You know that keeping tomatoes in the fridge kills the taste.Try putting them on the counter and taste the difference....just saying.

Em hope you are feeling a bit better after your restful day.

I'm on Team Unescorted - eggs and tomatoes (and potatoes & bread!) should never be in the fridge. My tomatoes share the fruit bowl.

All on track here except for the sweatshirt I just bought in the Baukjen sale.

grannycake · 24/01/2022 06:36

And I have a butter dish - no spreads allowed

ememem84 · 24/01/2022 07:06

Bread (the sliced stuff) lives in the freezer here. Potatoes in the cupboard. Along with garlic and onions.

Still feeling rough. So glad I decided to wfh today.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/01/2022 07:16

Meh. It’s not like I even like tomatoes. Mil keeps bread in the fridge >>> urgh

Mad planned today. I think I’ve finally done the bill of the changes of address from moving. Now just the loyalty cards and oddments. Time for a cull too

Lovemaltesers · 24/01/2022 11:04

DD2 tested negative today, so hopefully another tomorrow morning and she can go back to school.

I tested positive this morning. FFs! Why couldn’t we have it at the same time?!

Alfiemoon1 · 24/01/2022 11:20

Mrsmadevans · 24/01/2022 13:32

Oh no Love, rotten luck. Hope you are ok.

Lovemaltesers · 24/01/2022 16:15

At the moment, feels like a horrible cold. You know, the type where you shuffle around in a dressing gown of doom feeling very sorry for yourself 🤣 Very different to when I had covid last time.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/01/2022 17:56

Ah love Flowers wear the dgod as long as you need it

Ahem £2500 for Rome at half term. Dh 50th
Who needs drains anyway

Wolfcub · 24/01/2022 19:50

Love hope you start to feel less rubbish soon

Had a totally horrific job interview today, absolutely screwed the pooch as the saying goes. Really mad at myself

Life holidays are better than drains

Head is killing me, I've taken plenty painkillers today to keep it at bay but no joy. Fed up of this. Will make gp appointment as soon as I've had second eye test

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/01/2022 20:17

Get thee to your gp

ememem84 · 25/01/2022 07:21

Wfh today too. Feeling ick. Took night nurse last night. Took it too late so am now feeling full of cold and fuzzy headed.

Half day today thoug la. So working until 1230. Then going to crawl back into bed and watch Netflix and rest.

ememem84 · 25/01/2022 07:41

Oooh big news here. Ds got into our preferred catchment just down the road school!

Yay.

SingToTheSky · 25/01/2022 08:22

Excellent news em! 😀

northender · 25/01/2022 08:30

Great news Em such a relief.
Loving the butter dish chat. We are looking for a butter dish as we ditched spread a while back but just haven't got anything to keep the butter in yet.
I've got a weeks' leave this week. Not very exciting apart from a spa break with my lovely friend on Friday/Saturday. Planned and paid for ages ago, this is attempt number two...
Managed to do lots of admin sorting yesterday and have created a second work/sewing station in our work/hobbies room (well the space was always there, it's just the table was full of clutter!). I've managed to sort dd's old laptop for dh & I to use, rather than getting a new one.
Today was going to be a day with mum but dad has a physio appointment he hadn't told her about so I'm helping her do some sorting of her sewing room this morning but nice planned trip out for lunch & the afternoon has been cancelled grrrrrr.
Dh, ds & dd are all going to football tonight (leaving here at 5) so I will have a lovely peaceful night in to sew & study.

northender · 25/01/2022 08:31

Ooh life I missed seeing your Rome trip, how exciting!

ememem84 · 25/01/2022 08:35

still can't quite believe that come september my baby boy will be in school. how'd that happen? where did all the time go?

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/01/2022 08:59

Phew em that’s such a relief when you get the school you want.

Ggrrr indeed north but bravo on the sorting craft space

SingToTheSky · 25/01/2022 09:02

Aww so grown up em is he excited?

Busy work day ahead here. Loving my job so much 😀💕
