Ah love, sorry to hear you had a wobble. Did the feedback give you stuff to work on?

Unescorted · 15/10/2021 06:59

Meadow sorry to hear about your mum.

Love I find feedback really hard. It is difficult to not take it personally, when in a lot of cases it is the interviewer trying to justify a gut decision.

I am so glad it is Friday. Our work load has gone mental here & we were already at capacity.

northender · 15/10/2021 07:21

meadow sorry to hear about your mum. Hope baby appears soon & without intervention to help lift spirits.
So glad it's Friday. It's my study day, so making an early start. Going to pick up my new glasses later.
Paddle boarding last weekend was fab, I managed to kneel and paddle, didn't get up to standing. Nothing so exciting planned this weekend. I need to get on with the quilt for my best friend, will try to do that between study today. It won't involve spending apart from backing fabric which I may look for today or tomorrow.
Weight loss is going well so need to keep focused. Lightest I've been for 2 years plus.
Heating not on yet but it is feeling cold now.

northender · 15/10/2021 07:33

love definitely go for the latest interview. How brilliant that you keep being shortlisted.
unescorted you are doing great & good that work are being supportive.
I've organised cleaners for mum & dad (not easy as they live very rural) as the house was a dusty, cobwebby mess. It now is lovely, really transformed, but rather than thanking me for getting it sorted, mum seems a little ruffled about the cost and keeps making comments about them moving things. Dad is about 6 weeks post shoulder dislocation & awaiting a scan as they think he has torn muscles too. He is even grumpier than usual so making mum tearful.

Lovemaltesers · 15/10/2021 08:56

To be fair, I think the feedback was valid, it’s just really hard to read about yourself!

I did get a no from one job application yesterday too north, but I think the last nine jobs I applied for, that was the first one. So I’m ok on paper and mostly cracked that part. One day I will be the only person for interview, and then get the job Grin

DD1 was sick earlier, so home with me. Had to cancel haircut and trip to visit Ddad. But plenty to do at home, and at least it coincided with my day off too. DD2 was not feeling great either, but she was desperate to go to school as they were doing painting. So I might be getting a call to collect her too!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2021 17:17

Yip
It’s always awful to read the feedback. Can
You contact them and talk it through?

Good luck with next interview

HumbugWhale · 15/10/2021 19:40

Sorry to hear about your mum Meadow. Hope baby arrives soon.

Unescorted · 15/10/2021 20:13

North I saw a picture of the most beautiful quilt the other day it is called "The Splash".... by a Spanish artist who I can't remember the name of. It was mostly white & the picture of a girl jumping into a pool with fish caught in the vortex of her splash all stitched on. I thought of you. I am annoyed at myself for not bookmarking it to show you.

I am looking forward to a v. quiet day tomorrow.

Mrsmadevans · 15/10/2021 23:43

Love we could give you a mock interview over Skype/zoom. You can never account for everything that an individual interviewer might look for but perhaps we can see if there are a few little tweaks to boost your scores.

Took the kids and grandma and grandad to adventure park yesterday. Grandma bought coffees then back home for lunch.

Dc got naps in the afternoon so I crawled back on bed under blanket and read some book.

We’re off to a birthday party today. Last thing I want to do really but the dc are so excited.

Packing today and running about after kids. Need to pay for gym Christmas party and dd riding she missed wed

northender · 16/10/2021 11:29

unescorted that sounds amazing. My efforts are much simpler!
Spending seems a bit mad at the moment, but budgeted for.
Gym class done. Now taking bike to be serviced. Then study [sigh].
Went out with friends from Devon last night who are staying local to here for the weekend. Was a really lovely evening

Wolfcub · 16/10/2021 17:23

Anyone wanting to do a Christmas Booths order the order book is open!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 16/10/2021 18:06

Hi everyone just popping on to say hello! Hope you're all okay?

Life is plodding on here, dd is better than she was but still has a way to go until full recovery unfortunately.

I'm feeling fed up today as received I speeding ticket 😩 it's so annoying as I drive the worlds slowest car!! That's £100 down the drain.

I'm also finding food very price at the moment as well. I have to buy a lot of food as dd is on a meal plan but my food bill is crazy, for both of us roughly £80 a week!!

I'm trying to save as much as poss atm as I'm really hoping to take dd abroad next year after her exams.

Lovemaltesers · 16/10/2021 19:42

Glad to hear DD is getting a bit better Flowers girlie

I seem to have an awful headache, spent the day sleeping in bed. DD2 has been complaining about a headache too so guessing something viral? Still feel crap. Interview prep on hold until my head stops hurting. Zoe app has invited me to do a PCR but don’t think it’s that but will do it.

Lovemaltesers · 16/10/2021 19:44

It’s my 2nd invite from Zoe app in a week. I guess I appear sickly 🤣 Although we are also in the South West.

Hey frugaleers, baby was born yesterday afternoon! Another very long labour without adequate pain relief and again ending in a ventouse & episiotomy delivery, and this time followed by a haemerroge too to top it off Sad But he is gorgeous and we got home last night and DD is besotted atm too which is super cute. He weighed a chunky 8 lb 6 which was unexpected as DD was just under 7lb!

Hope you're all good, NSD today hah.
