I've just paid off the remainder of my credit card balance. I have depleted my savings, but better no debt than savings. The savings were earning a pittance in interest anyway.

last session with therapist today, so this will set me back £70. but it'll be the last invoice for this. so will save me £70 a month.

Not being especially frugal, trying to resist retail therapy (online obv)

New fred, thank you. More decluttering, hopefully LSD, I am going to the lidl though..

€3.49 on 12 eggs yesterday
€57 on diesel, highest it has been to fill car in a long time, it was more empty than usual but price has jumped too. I get 4c off a litre with my fuel card so this will save me about €2.

Will wait to grocery shop until Monday as I'm going to town to choose new glasses anyway.

Lidl will have their coloured cookware in that day too, landlady's roasting dish has a huge crack in it, has done since we moved in but it's about to break now €6.99 will replace it.

So far I've replaced 4 mugs, 4 bowls, toaster, firegrate and this. Not too bad for an entire year I guess

I had one of those manically busy but fruitful days. I feel better for it.

I have spent £9.20 since last Sunday. Can I recommend not having a car to hand and rain as a really frugal combination.

That is the question gen - I'm scratching my head every month asking myself this!

I'm going to put my food shop back a day and go on Friday rather that Thursday so it comes out of next months pay - I know I'm only cheating myself because I'll just be chasing my tail but you know, any means necessary!

God, 2 more weekends in February. Outside is still unappealing. Took the dog out yesterday afternoon in what started as sunshine, ended being soaked in horizontal rain. He loved it though, so it was worth it!

I have £31 left in the joint account to top up existing food stocks and get us through to 28 Feb. I have a kilo of minced beef, four fine fat sausages, some bacon and a big chicken, plus all my store-cupboard basics, so it's absolutely do-able, just feeling a bit uninspired on the culinary front. Will start tonight with meatloaf and baked potatoes/sweet potatoes and find something green to go with it.

My e.l.f cosmetics delivery came through (and now I have a princely £8 in my personal account to get me through to 2 March). Love the moisturiser, eyebrow gel, 'eye putty primer', not so sure about the blusher and lippy - the latter comes out a decided orange on me, and a pinky-brown nude was what I was aiming for! Still, at £3 a go, I can experiment. For the first time in my life I own enough make-up to warrant buying one of those Muji caddies to keep your bits and pieces tidy. Oh joy.

I have (I think) £483 for the month. This is after moneys transferred to joint ac and savings. This is going to be monitored closely.

Went for a second walk. Ds made a bird feeder with dgf and I helped dgm prepare their evening meal.

We are super skint until payday. For a short month it's felt like a long one but when I think about it I've had hols to pay for, repair work x3, dm's big birthday and other gifts so it's perhaps not quite so bad as it looks

NSD which is a good thing after seeing this month's cc bill. I think it seems worse than it is because we are buying more or less everything online at the moment so although it was a big bill we could cover it from the joint account which has hardly been touched all month. Didn't help that all 3 kids decided to grow and needed shoes and trousers!

Anyway have listed a load of stuff on Ebay ready to go live on Sunday night as my friend who runs an Ebay business said Sunday night it the peak time for selling stuff and getting a good price.

I was skint about a week ago wolf! Everyone always says January is tough financially, but I find February a struggle every year!!
