Sorry things are so difficult Love.

That's super cute about dd and catface Em.

Long first day back today. Haven't finished yet but I need to think about something different for 5 mins!

Nsd.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/02/2021 15:19

Back to work today. Lovely to see the children. I'm quite excited about them all being back 🥰!

February:
NSDs: 14/28
Groceries: £374.49/£390
Everything else: £275.95/£350

Happierwithouthim · 22/02/2021 19:36

Groceries €287/€300
Cleaning products/toiletries/dogfood €48.71/€50

Delighted with how I've done for February, I'm going to keep up this budget until dm comes to mind dc and will add extra €25 weekly then.

Went to purchase glasses today and spent €0 as nothing took my fancy. I'm entitled to a pair for very little money as I'm a lensmail customer so I'm not under pressure to buy. My last three pairs are still going strong!

€1.05 on parking
€4.99 on tweezers in boots then with my points I bought an eyebrow dye kit with 16 applications
€13.18 Lidl replacing landlady's baking dish and few groceries
€3.21 Tesco
€46.25 Aldi
€10 butchers

Mrs - mine were almost as bad!

Walked to the post office this afternoon, it's about 15 minutes away and only opens 3 days a week 12-2pm Hmm I Spent 90p on the way back on two large pots of natural yogurt, had some frozen berries lingering at the bottom of the freezer so made smoothies for ds2 and dd1.

Spent the afternoon making a lentil bolognese for dd2 and then blitzed half up into a red pasta sauce.

Also had a major clothing clear out, thought I'd been ruthless until I opened the cupboard and found another load of clothes in a box that still need sorting through, I really want to streamline the amount of clothes I have, especially as I seem to wear the same few outfits day in and day out. I must stop replacing clothes as well, I counted 12 black T-shirt's Confused just need to find a charity bin to put them in now.

Mrsmadevans · 22/02/2021 22:36

Love it's so hard for you and your family and parents bless you Flowers
Camden It must have cost you a fortune lovely , my BFF has one of those light epilators. She loves it, she has a tashe/eyebrows/beard and does it herself now. It has come in handy especially now with the pandemic Smile good luck with finding a charity shop. I don't know where to put my stuff tbh l have just shut the drawers on it all till it is all over ! Smile I share your love of West Wales it is so beautiful there, have you been to Bosherston Lily ponds & the Stackpole estate OMG it took my breath away it was so beautiful Smile

NSD today. Finally got outside for a walk to the pharmacy so good to be out in the sunshine it's been lovely today. Spent the afternoon chatting with family, which was a nice break from the monotony of lockdown.

Wolf glass you got the door locked.

Camden I'm having the same problems as you with clearing out. It's all currently stacked up in the porch waiting to be donated. I've got it all up for sale to try to get rid, but everyone seems to be broke this month and all I've had are no-shows from those who arranged to collect.

Those of you home waxing, I heard sugaring is meant to be less painful. I've tried it once ages ago and it wasn't that bad and it was effective. No bruising or anything like that. Think the sugaring stuff came from The Body Shop. I've never been waxed so I can't compare though.

AmberItsACertainty · 22/02/2021 23:59

*glad, not glass!

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/02/2021 07:00

£60 Sainsbury's last night. I had loads for change in my purse so was there ages feeding coins into the till. Balance on card
Payday Monday thank goodness

DD has a cyst on her elbow so Dr trip today. It's red and manky but she won't let me near it. Spoil sport.

Got the first 10 minutes watched then DS has a fight on line with a friend that turned nasty so watched a movie with him

Gensola · 23/02/2021 07:10

DH gets paid in two days, thank goodness Grin I don’t get paid for another week!
Have been up since 6am marking. Is it the end of term yet?!

I need to stop ordering random books and other stuff on Amazon - it’s never much money but it adds up.
Tuesday is a super busy day for me, can’t wait til it’s over!

ememem84 · 23/02/2021 10:02

Spends £38 on three jumpers on amazon. Dsis had some and they’re so slouchy and cosy. I bought black grey and mustardy yellow.

Also £52 coffee subscription. This will deliver 250g of ground coffee from my fave coffee shop here (local store - buy local 😉) every 2 weeks. For 6m.

Works out at 20p a cup. Ish.

Oh and £4.30 in said coffee shop on coffee and a Danish for breakfast. Am currently in office. Yay.

Bornlazy · 23/02/2021 10:05

Well yesterday's nsd turned into £80 spent in Home Bargains Shock This is why I am better off staying in the house, but my dm wanted to go and I couldn't go and not spend any money.

I did buy a lovely little side table that folds up neatly that hopefully I will get the use of if I ever get to have people back in my house. I also bought some packets of mini Easter eggs that were a bargain but it soon adds up.

My dm is really losing her confidence and to be honest I didn't really want her to go out but I think she needed it to stop her becoming too scared to go anywhere.

Mrs those eyebrows are a shocker!! I am rewatching Schitt's Creek and Johnny's eyebrows are even worse Grin

Life hope dd's cyst is ok and that you get to watch if they burst it Wink

ememem84 · 23/02/2021 10:22

life I’m assuming you’ve watched dr pimple popper on YouTube?

If not.... enjoy!!

Happierwithouthim · 23/02/2021 11:03

I've done leg and bikini wax with reasonable success last year.

Brow tint worked out ok this morning Smile

Happierwithouthim · 23/02/2021 11:03

I'll leave waxing eyebrows y beautician but I could dye them myself

SingToTheSky · 23/02/2021 11:11

Ah bollocks I got a shielding letter. Oh well I suppose it will be frugal if I can’t go to the shops 😂

Lovemaltesers · 23/02/2021 11:27

Have you had your vaccine yet sing as that bumps you up the list?

Bornlazy · 23/02/2021 13:16

Sing it's totally bizarre that you've gone through the last year not shielding and now that we are (if you believe Boris) only a few months away from freedom he's asking more people to shield. They must be doing it to bump people up the vaccine list which is fair enough but I'm sure they could have done that without asking people to shield.

Scotland isn't doing it as far as I know. My ward would be in dire straights if we did as quite a few staff would be asked to shield.
