Adora did you shop when you were hungry? That's always my downfall with snacks.
Snuggly that's good they slept through, hope they keep it up.
Yes I agree with you about them making things complicated. I think you have to be very clever or a solicitor to win, because of having to word things right, but you can't employ one because you don't get the costs back even if you win the claim. It's discrimination against stupid people, really. I looked into a solicitor because I'd rather pay someone who is doing a job than pay scammers, bit it'd cost about 5x more than the fine, so it wouldn't be a sensible choice. I'm supposed to be being frugal, not wiping out my savings telling CFs where to stick their fines, as tempting as that is
Unescorted no I haven't. People say CAB tell you to pay up. Very annoying, I might not have even been there, I might have been legally parked on the street outside and been added to their list of people to fine, I wouldn't be the first person that's happened to. Trading Standards doesn't actually exist any more for average people, hasn't for years. It only exists for investigating safety concerns of products and fakes of expensive brands, things like that which affect the country's reputation or economy. Average people trying to contact Trading Standards get redirected to Consumer Direct, who don't do anything except explain how to take someone to court. There's nobody to complain to about anything.
Wolf thanks for the new thread link, I typed all this before I saw it, sorry 😂
Camden pottery sounds fun. I'm into crafts too but haven't done anything in ages because I've got lockdown apathy. My partner usually deals with anything legal but he's unwell at the moment, it's such bad timing.
Em I hope your demons have been laid to rest whatever they were. Onwards and upwards.
Madden that's fab you've exchanged. Just the living out of boxes part to get through this week until you've moved.
