MsKL · 18/01/2021 01:22

NSD for me.

maddenlightfoot · 18/01/2021 07:50

I was aiming for a nsd yesterday until dh got the munchies and went to the corner shop 😡 (current local shop is literally at the bottom of our road - less than a minute - new house would be a good 10 minute walk so hopefully munchies will be satisfied with all the food already in the house)

January:
NSDs: 7/31
Groceries: £247.52/400
Everything else: £164.68/350

Happierwithouthim · 18/01/2021 10:01

I also made bolognese last night life and soup, plus included a tin of lentils in the bolognese to make it healthier and stretch further. Going to have bolognese tonight, make lasagne and hoping there'll be a portion left for taco fries also. Soup made 4 portions from 3 carrots, 1 potato, 1 onion, 1 stock cube and handful of lentils.

Also froze sliced up turkey breast for a dinner latter in the week, will make fresh stuffing and gravy on the day.

I'm getting back into meal planning.

Today's breakfast, porridge in the nutella jar!

Snack - breadsticks and last of salmon mix
Lunch - curry from freezer and rice(boiled not microwave!) melon and some pineapple
Dinner will be bolognese with taglitelle

Happierwithouthim · 18/01/2021 10:19

Yesterday was a NSD
Today €2 on postage

ememem84 · 18/01/2021 10:49

morning all. today should be nsd. i have some follow ups to do via email on orders - bin bags (should they not be delivered), and have to take a bag to the charity shop.

i've booked thursday off work and the next Monday as need some me time. and need to do some serious house sort out. and netflix watching.

Unescorted · 18/01/2021 15:28

Afternoon Grin

em I could do with a Netflix day

SnugglySnerd · 18/01/2021 15:49

Me too, would love a duvet day.

Have ordered one of those microwaveable lavender heat pack things for my aching neck and shoulders and for a bit of relaxation.

maddenlightfoot · 18/01/2021 16:09

Me too! I know it's a cliche but I have had serious Blue Monday blues today. Just can't snap myself out of it. After dinner I'm going to get into pjs and then go and binge on some Netflix and get a super early night.

NSD

ememem84 · 18/01/2021 16:09

I’m excited as have some decluttering and tidying to do on Thursday morning and then am going to spend the rest of the day netflixing. Hoorah.

Have also asked for a riding lesson on Thursday or Monday. So might get that in too.

£99 on an outdoor rug from dunelm. We saw it. We liked it. We ordered it. We can store it until summer.

MsKL · 18/01/2021 17:59

£6 on the window cleaner today.

Mrsmadevans · 18/01/2021 18:15

Evening everyone Smile
Took Mumbob to the vaccination hub for half 9 , when we got there they asked DH & l if we wanted to be vaccinated as well because they had a lot of cancellations and they don't want to waste the vaccine. We bit ther hands off tbh , l was otm felt as if l been given a million quid. I had a high for hours afterwards Grin
The hub was staffed with the most wonderful unpaid volunteers , the nurses were all in curtained booths with their laptops and they were excellent . I was very impressed and so thankful. The atmosphere was wonderful there everyone was so happy and so upbeat. We are all fine no symptoms at all we are so relieved! They said to us if we had gone on Saturday we wouldn't have been offered it because it was so busy.
I couldn't believe that ppl would cancel their vaccination unless they have heard about the over 75's in Norway dying after having theirs. They (Norway) have since said that there is no link between these poor ppl dying and having their vaccinations but l did wonder why so many had cancelled because you would think everyone would make it your highest priority Confused
Spends 8 in Tesco today, tried to sort out a new phone for Mum & helped Dh prepare the car for the MOT tomorrow.
Arranged a wreath for my poor cousins husband bless him Sad
MsKL your window cleaner is a great price ! Smile
Em hope you get your riding in Smile the outdorr rugs are gorgeous btw Smile
Snuggly that is a great idea , my Dd2 has been in agony with her neck and shoulders since working from home. I have rubbed Ibuprofen in 3x a day for her and bought her a heated pad for her to use. The ergonomics are not as good here as in her office and she isn't positioning herself properly , l know it's difficult bless her .
Happier your meals sound delicious well done!

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/01/2021 18:52

£250 for storage to end Feb. £27.50 on friend birthday present

ememem84 · 18/01/2021 19:11

mrs I got the idea for outdoor rug last year when we had our decking done. I moved one of our living room chairs out there and had some play mats out for the kids and thought a rug would be cool.

Just need furniture now.

In office tomorrow morning. Yay.

Mrsmadevans · 18/01/2021 19:38

I think it's a great idea Em l have taken quite a fancy to them too Grin
Arm hurting now both myself and Dh , just rung Mumbob they have no pain or symptoms so all is well in the Mumbob world Grin

Lovemaltesers · 18/01/2021 19:43

That’s great news that you both got your vaccines as well as mumbob 👍

My DM and DF now have theirs booked in for 10 days time at the new vaccination hub.
Things with DF are really quite difficult at the moment. But I have to hope the crisis team are able to help. He’s off to the day hospital tomorrow.

Had a lateral flow test at work today. Negative. Phew, especially as I’ve spent so much time with my parents last week.

Mrsmadevans · 18/01/2021 19:49

Thank you Love Smile
l am so sorry your Df is so poorly it must be such a worry for you & your family Flowers Glad your lateral test was clear too Smile

Unescorted · 18/01/2021 20:25

mrs great news re the vaccinations.

love please to hear you lateral flow was a neg. Sorry that it is difficult with your Ddad.

Today was going to be a NSD - then I read an article about things to make walks that you have done a zillion times before more interesting.... I am easily swayed it seems. £7 on a small hand lens so I can inspect things as I walk. Despite still not having walked all the paths in the area. Tomorrows walk looks as if it is going to be very very soggy.

Mrsmadevans · 18/01/2021 20:31

Thank you Unescorted Smile we are so relieved they have been done never mind us .
That hand glass is a necessity in my book Smile money well spent think of the things you will see ! Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/01/2021 20:33

Oh love, sorry things are rough. Keep pushing hard as it is

northender · 18/01/2021 23:05

wolf eeek!

Off to the office today for a bit. Yay.

Also have w bidding war on eBay. Yippeeee. I love it when people bid on my stuff

Gensola · 19/01/2021 07:44

mrs exciting re your vaccine!

love sorry things are so tough with your dad.

I have my presentation today, so nervous. I can’t wait til it’s over. I don’t think what I have prepared is really very good but I’ve so much going on with the IVF and other family issues with DH’s kids that I couldn’t really focus. Sad

Anyway the rest of term will feel like a holiday after the stress of this!

Day 2 of IVF meds. Yesterday was NSD, today will be too as working 8am-5pm then collapsing onto the sofa to watch tv Grin.

Unescorted · 19/01/2021 09:00

Gen It will be awesome. Strange tip that I use before presentations is to hold a power pose for 2 minutes just before you start. The easiest one I find is hold my arms up and legs apart like I am a male sprinter receiving a gold medal. It releases feelgood can do hormones. It sounds hokem but it works (backed up by scientific evidence). Also practice really smiling - right up into the eyes. the warmth of the smile overrides the nerves....

wolf it is at times like this I am glad we live on a hill. Stay safe - things can be replaced.
