Going to supermarket with DH and splitting the list so we get it done quicker. Did a long and unbelievably muddy walk, was good to clear my head.

have been through credit card statements and bank account (can you tell i'm busy at work?)

have done an expenses reclaim for £48 for seminars and have set up a payment to transfer £105 from joint account to my account to repay credit card on payday - this accounts for all "joint purchases" on amazon from 1 January - mostly subscribe and save things.

i have spent far too much on apple on in app purchases and apps recently so these have been stopped. no more.

Wolfcub · 15/02/2021 17:07

£120 handyman to replace thing that was damaged by careless driver. Hope to reclaim the majority of this from them

That's what I have but they are a few years old. Will get more at the weekend when I'm shopping

ememem84 · 15/02/2021 18:50

Does your oven have a self clean function? Sometimes I throw trays in when I put it on the clean setting. Burns the crap right off.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/02/2021 19:12

No self clean. I can see where they have worn the surface away. I do a lot of tray cooking

ememem84 · 15/02/2021 19:18

Oh. Wel if they’re well used and loved....!

CamdenLurker · 15/02/2021 20:29

Spent just under a fiver today, and that was because dd1 was baking a cake and needed cream cheese and real butter for the frosting.

Not a lot going on today - Dh is having nightmares because a heron is swooping in on his fish, personally I hate having a pond, never wanted it in the first place and ideally would like it filled in. Just makes the garden look like it belongs to someone in their 80's rather than 40's.

Life - I am desperate for new pans, I have an induction hob and the pans I have state that they are suitable for induction, which they might be, but it takes an age to boil water in them, so I'm really wanting a trip to IKEA to buy new ones but I want to judge the sizes first.

I'm using up lots of stuff lurking in the freezer, dd2 and I had veggie burgers and sweet potato fries for dinner and everyone else had beef burgers and fries.

I quite like running down the freezer, makes me feel virtuous Smile

I have decided I will not be buying anything non essential between now and payday, which is 10 days away, not sure if I'll last but I'll definitely give it a go!

Hope everyone has had a good and the peeps on half term have a rest from homeschooling and/or work.

maddenlightfoot · 15/02/2021 21:24

I felt all virtuous yesterday Camden when I made my own pesto from a bag of spinach and a bag of rocket on the turn. It's smelling all lovely and garlicky and lemony and will go on some pasta for lunch tomorrow. Nsd yesterday and today. Today has mostly been spent waiting for exchange. Still waiting...

Personal question. I have an itchy rash which goes under and between my boobs. I think heat rash. Haven’t been feeling well and getting v warm at night.

But it itches. Any ideas to sooth?

Mrsmadevans · 15/02/2021 22:47

Em it's not shingles is it lovely?

Mrsmadevans · 15/02/2021 22:53

I always recommend the good old fashioned calamine lotion for itchy rashes & an antihistamine tablets hope you feel better soon sweetheart 😊 💐

ememem84 · 16/02/2021 03:32

Not sure mrs how would I know?

I’ll get calamine lotion when I’m at office in the morning. Will walk right by pharmacy.

Wolfcub · 16/02/2021 06:48

Em I use germolene for that purpose.

OP posts:
ememem84 · 16/02/2021 07:01

Found some calamine cream which I bought when DS has suspected chickenpox a few years ago. That’ll do.

I’ve googled shingles. It doesn’t look like it. But who knows. Will see how I go for a couple of days and if necessary see gp.

Sigh. If it’s not one thing.....

Unescorted · 16/02/2021 07:02

It could also be some form of thrush.

Something is wrong with me - I have got into the habit of getting up and doing an hour of housework each morning. Weird. This morning - washing loaded, next lot out to dry and sort yesterdays effort.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/02/2021 07:05

Sounds like thrust, yeast infection, heat rash type thing, keep under boob dry (use talc) and then speak to pharmacy

Weirdo unescorted. Feels good though imo, from a fellow weirdo
