So you bloody should unescorted

ememem84 · 11/02/2021 15:03

have moved to the couch. cat face is sitting behind me. snuggled against my hot water bottle. i have a blanket now.

i must get a new dressing gown. mine is nice - from white co -white waffle fabric but its short. and i want a fluffy one. must sort this out.

SnugglySnerd · 11/02/2021 15:16

I usually do the microwave and skewering of jacket spuds to be honest but I was working and on autopilot and just shoved them in the over without thinking. I often cook them when there is something else in the oven like a casserole or fruit cake that takes ages to cook to get my money's worth out of the oven being on!

Nsd. Been for a very cold walk!

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2021 15:59

Blooming stables is costing me a fortune in taxi as dh on a course this week so not back in rime

ememem84 · 11/02/2021 16:02

almost posted i had an nsd too. but then remembered car seat.

so nsd on non essentials....

Unescorted · 11/02/2021 16:23

Finished for the day - because of all the stress I hadn't been sleeping. Now that has gone I am sooooooo tired.

In frugal news DH has been asked to be a brand ambassador for a brewery. We get free beer.... he has been sent to the shops to get matching pizza for a lazy lie on the sofa night.

Adora I missed you breaking a leg. Hope it mends quickly and straight.

AdoraBell · 11/02/2021 17:18

Not the leg unescorted, just the little toe. So it feels a tad pathetic to be unable to put weight on it 🤦‍♀️

Yay at free beer 👍

em nice robes are all well and good but you definitely need a long fluffy one when it’s 🥶

AmberItsACertainty · 11/02/2021 18:19

Wolf thanks for the heads up on the marmite buns.

Unescorted so pleased you got an apology and congratulations on the free beer.

Happier sounds scary and painful, I hope your injuries heal soon.

Mrsmad I went to Cardiff once, never again. Worried I'd disappear forever 😂. Drove round in a loop for ages trying to get out because there's almost no road signs. The place is some sort of Bermuda triangle that you can enter but never leave. Nightmare.

I had a NSD. Decided to appeal the parking fine because they're chatting rubbish about the terms of the (non-existant) contract I supposedly broke.

Amazing re brand ambassador. How often do you get freebees?!

Does he have to do a million posts on social media.

ememem84 · 11/02/2021 18:20

Oh. Dh bought marmite buns.

Unescorted · 11/02/2021 18:55

Once a month ish.... my favourite is a lifetime's supply of oats. Number of posts depends on the deal. The oats got a single interview, 2 pictures and association with DS & DH. Others expect more.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2021 18:58

Liking the sound of brand ambassador

Unescorted · 11/02/2021 19:03

Adora I think toes hurt more than big bones. I broke my arm when I was a kid. We drove 60 miles across dirt tracks, picked up hitch hikers and squashed them into the car (7 of us in total). All on an asprin. If I stub my toe I cry like a baby.

SnugglySnerd · 11/02/2021 19:21

@ememem84

Oh. Dh bought marmite buns.
What are Marmite buns? They sound delicious!

I could be a brewery ambassador, that sounds right up my street! Going to open a beer in a minute, as soon as dcs are asleep.

ememem84 · 11/02/2021 19:57

snuggly cheese and marmite hot cross buns. From M&S. They sound ace. Although wolf says they’re rank.

Am yet to try.

Gensola · 11/02/2021 20:03

unescorted is your DH famous? That is very exciting if so!
My pregnancy tests haven’t arrived despite paying for delivery... maybe fate telling me to wait until OTD!!

Happierwithouthim · 11/02/2021 20:05

My poor knee Grin

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2021 20:26

@ememem84

Oh. Dh bought marmite buns.
He has some good points Em 😂
Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2021 20:28

Happier AHH bless you 💐
You too Adora 💐

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2021 20:29

Fab news re the DH being brand ambassador Unescorted 🤗👏👏👏

Wolfcub · 11/02/2021 20:31

Glad you got an apology Unescorted and yay to free beer and a lifetime supply of oats

The heating has been on here since 6.30am. It was minus god knows what outside and too cold to get out of bed and then sit working. I don't help myself though as upstairs Windows are always open whatever the weather and office is upstairs as well as bedroom so it is fecking cold even with jumpers and hot water bottles.

Good luck with the appeal Amber

Happier that knee looks sore. You have very elegant hands.

Em hope you like the buns more than I did. I'm psyching myself up to finish them for breakfast tomorrow

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2021 20:32

Snuggly doesn't it sound fantastic trouble is no one wants me for an ambassador of anything 😂 boohoo😂

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2021 20:35

Wolf do you leave the windows open to ventilate against Covid lovely? Only l do this a bit tbh DH goes mad 😂

Wolfcub · 11/02/2021 20:51

Mrs no it's not a Covid thing it's something I've always done. Bedroom window is always wide open. Office, attic and ds's room are always vented at least

SingToTheSky · 11/02/2021 21:13

Airing the house is something I never really bothered with until covid. Now it’s a habit I will stick with I think, I feel like it improves the house a lot. :)
