£54 Sainsbury's last night. £64 today on worktop for house.
2.99 refund as took party invites back. Sainsbury's were lovely and refunded without the receipt.
No wolf don't have that one.

No. Idea re local lockdown. Fingers crossed love. Looks like deep can also get married but no reception ATM.

I've normally down more Christmas shopping but with work and house my brain will melt.

World of books is the new online fave on the thread I think. Yes those threads are lethal.

Need to get DC birthday but zero clue.

anorangeaday · 12/09/2020 08:12

Thank you to everyone who recommended IPlayer, I have 2 very happy DC now.

adora that’s a great little win with the coffee.

I think it’s the same here snuggly, I don’t think it applies to bubbles though, so my DM and Dnan who live together can bubble with me. Well done on the Christmas shopping, I haven’t started yet, I have no ideas really.

born it’s like that here, 6 people from different households can have a drink in a pub, but a husband can’t join his wife until she’s 4cm dilated🙄

I’m going to Weston today, with the DC and their dad. He never turns up to these things but I gave him a stern talking to last week so I hope he does show up. If he isn’t here by 9 I’m leaving, I’m not ruining our day for him.

ememem84 · 12/09/2020 08:21

Aren’t your rules “don’t get Covid but make sure you get back to work and support the economy but only on your own and don’t dare communicate with anyone who isn’t wearing a mask and wash your hands!”

ChristmasSeacow · 12/09/2020 08:50

Orange I don’t think it counts as a support bubble if your DM and DNan live together. Support bubbles are defined as a person who lives alone (or a single parent with underage children) joining with another household. You can obviously do what you see fit with that but as far as I understand it that’s not allowed. I’m in the same situation with my 2 DSis who live together. Not counted as a bubble.

Love keeping everything crossed for you. You are remarkably chilled.

I’m at baby ballet with DD for the first time since March. She’s so happy!

Lovemaltesers · 12/09/2020 09:21

There’s definitely unchilled moments sea . It’s beginning to feel like it’s not going to happen... so it might be a shock if it does 😂

anorangeaday · 12/09/2020 09:44

sea I’m in a single parent household, so a single parent can join with a couple. So because mum and Nan live together they’re the couple and I’m the single parent

anorangeaday · 12/09/2020 09:46

I think that’s right anyway, it is that single parents can join with a family can’t they? Or have I been doing it wrong?. The guidance is so confusing

Bornlazy · 12/09/2020 09:47

I can still see my mum as she lives alone and I am in a bubble with her although I don't think we actually have "bubbles" in Scotland as such. We can (if not locked down) have a meet up with up to 6 people from 2 households but children under 12 don't count in the numbers. This suits people with families much more and seems more sensible than being allowed to meet people from up to 6 different households. I truly can't understand how that could possibly be seen as safer than say 2 families of 2 adults and 2 children getting together🤷🏻‍♀️.

Bornlazy · 12/09/2020 09:48

I thinks that's ok orange

ChristmasSeacow · 12/09/2020 10:19

Ah yes Orange that’s fine. They’re your support, rather than the other way round!

Single parents need a medal generally, imo, but especially during this time.

Ballet done, quick cafe trip with DD done, I’m now in the hairdresser having my roots touched up Wink. I’m going to spend the whole day in a cleaning frenzy as PIL are coming tomorrow. I’ve planned a massive roast but it’s going to be hot!

SnugglySnerd · 12/09/2020 11:56

That sounds fine to me Orange. My mum is in our support bubble as she is single but she doesn't want to see us now we are all back at school etc anyway. She might meet us for walks outdoors.
I am resigned to the fact we are probably going to catch it now I'm at work and the dcs are back at school/nursery.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/09/2020 12:35

That's right orange.
The 6 people thing is it restricted to 2 households? O didn't think it was?

£65 worktop. £ snacks at skate park £7 mouth guard £££ new scooter

Unescorted · 12/09/2020 12:53

The rules / guidelines are now so confused. And despite following them closely DD & I have come down with a lurgy. No temperatures or loss of taste or smell but sore bones, knackered by getting up and shuffling about the house, sore throat, vague nausea and a little light coughing. Weirdly my tongue is sore... almost as if it has been burnt but all over.

I have read DH the riot act about his inability to do anything in the house and his reluctance to go back to work.

Wolfcub · 12/09/2020 12:58

Urgh 4 hours ish ripping up carpet, scraping off carpet glue and sanding steps. Grim. Also need to redo some glossing as I'm going to give painting the attic steps rather than carpeting a go.

Wolfcub · 12/09/2020 13:00

Orange you are right single parents can join with a family so I'm joined with my parents. We are quietly ignoring the fact they are also caring for my dgm, especially given I've had to do some bits for dgm too

ChristmasSeacow · 12/09/2020 13:04

The 6 people thing isn’t restricted to two households, I don’t think. It is confusing though! We mostly only see my mum or PIls (and not together) so I’ve not had to give it much thought. Defo can’t see our other family friends though (as we had planned to do next month) as we’ve two children each.

£20 on a naice piece of pork belly in the local fancy butcher, and £10 for naice mussels from the posh fishmonger. For PIls tomorrow. Moulds marineiere with hm bread rolls to start, and then pork belly with white wine gravy, roast potatoes and veg sides. And chocolate fondanbts for pudding. I hope I manage to pull it off. And clean the house form top to bottom today.

Dh has vacuumed downstairs. This is nothing short of a miracle!

ChristmasSeacow · 12/09/2020 13:05

Moules! Not feeding mould to MIL 😂😂😂

Bornlazy · 12/09/2020 16:19

Sorry I've confused you all. The 2 households is in Scotland.

No it isn't for most people. Orange and I are in areas starting more restrictions so we are more limited.

Hope you feel better soon Unescorted.

Busy day today. Dcs have a lot of activities on a Saturday which makes it hard to go out anywhere else so we have decided to use the hours in between activities to blitz the house and then have a nice chilled Sunday. It has worked well today, the dcs have even helped! I expect the novelty will soon wear off...

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/09/2020 17:05

Ah I see.
Lots of running around here too. Some jobs in between
