Shit Wolf. You sounded at the end of your rope even before that post.

Keep all the photo bits, they can be taped together and scanned, when you feel up to it.

Does he do these things in anger and then show remorse, or does he have no understanding of how out of order he is? I do hope you get some help for him FlowersWine

northender · 10/09/2020 23:30

Sending hugs wolf

I have stuck the photos back togethe SadI've magic erasered the walls, had a cuppa, cried a lot, answered a couple of work emails because a really shit urgent commission just landed in my inbox and I'm going to try and sleep. I can't see me being successful but I can try.

Thanks for the safe space ladies. Yes I've asked for anger management for two years and got nothing. I texted early help person earlier so hopefully they will be in touch tomorrow but it'll be a patronising "and do you set boundaries and consequences for him" like I'm fucking stupid. It was enacting boundaries and consequences that caused this carry on. Can't win!

It’s only one more day until the weekend thank god, I’ve really struggled getting back into work this week. The DC have been very clingy due to being away from me for most of the day and I’m feeling really burnt out. DD made a lovely castle for me today at nursery, I have attached the picture.

I counted out some pennies I’d kept in a piggy bank over the past few months and it came to £132!So I was able to use that to buy the DC’s winter clothes, which means I don’t feel like I’ve spent anything. I got a new coat for both DC’s, some leggings and for DD, 2 joggers and 2 jumpers for both DC, a 3 pack of long sleeved tops for both, a 3 pack of thick pj’s for both DC and a pair of wellies each. It came to £125.

Sorry wolf my DC are only little so can’t help with the packed lunch.

em the yellow trousers sound lush! Also I really like your phone case, I’ve seen it in the past 2 pictures you took and I think it’s amazing. Your driving test fail has angered me, surely you did the right thing?

unescorted that’s really exciting for your DD, I went to the uni down the road from me so I didn’t stay in halls but I really wish that I had.

girlie I’ve been lurking for a while and have heard about your DD’s issues with her weight, that’s really brilliant that she’s gained some.

north oh that’s really annoying about DS’s driving test. I failed on my first go and passed my second, I really hope he manages to do it next time.

That’s shit wolf I hope the early help people are actually helpful tomorrow.

Do any of you know a cheap place to find books? I’m looking for Christmas for DD, she likes anything about fairies, princesses etc but so many websites I go on charge a fortune.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/09/2020 06:49

Oh poor ds North.

Orange go on reaties Christmas threads they recommend book sites on there. And then hold on to your credit card

Wolf aweetie hope you got some sleeps and ds has calmed down. Pleased you fixed the photos. Any clue what triggered this?

ememem84 · 11/09/2020 07:12

Shit wolf I really hope the early help people are actually helpful. Sending lots of love your way xx

snuggly I think he failed me because I argued. And made him look stupid. He apparently didn’t know the road was closed. I did as I’d driven down there (ddad was driving) literally just before the test.

SnugglySnerd · 11/09/2020 07:16

Orange try The Works.

Wolf that is awful. I would be really upset about the photos. Does he get angry like this at school? I worry for when he is bigger and stronger. If school or the gp can't help could you afford any private counselling for him? Our school would absolutely be offering support. I can think of several different agencies that we use but I think they are local. I'm happy to try and find out if it would be useful. You school nurse might know about support in your area.

Bornlazy · 11/09/2020 07:50

Hope you managed some sleep wolf and glad you managed to fix the photographs. You don't seem to be getting much support. Does he kick off when he's with his dad or your parents?

Sorry for ds failing his test north it's been a shit time for him all round. Ds1 is learning at the moment and I'm dreading the test but probably more dreading all the worry I'll have when he passes and is out driving on his own.

SingToTheSky · 11/09/2020 08:59

Just signing in rather late, can’t keep up!

I can’t remember if you’ve already met the early help person before? Ours was lovely, I hope you get a good one who doesn’t patronise you. They should be able to refer you to people with the right expertise.

I had my first phone call with the autism work support woman. Oh my word she was so so lovely! Really encouraging and totally understood the situation I’m in between caring responsibilities, confidence etc. She’s got loads of ideas for my skill set (including voluntary roles to get me started) and even thinks I’d be a good fit for the group of charities/organisations she works with because my main drive is helping autistic people! So her inside knowledge/network may be an advantage.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/09/2020 10:07

£8 candle. Dh payday so £1400 to savings

ememem84 · 11/09/2020 10:11

nails today and taking ds to get his feet measured so new shoes.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/09/2020 14:19

I’m in a huge queue for the post office - got a batch of masks to send to a friend. Then I need a small top up shop and to get petrol if I have time before the school run - the light is in!

It’s DD’s first full day in school nursery. She’s been so great about it all week, I’m incredibly proud of her 😍

Lovemaltesers · 11/09/2020 14:24

I hope you ok wolf Flowers

DCs friend who I picked up from school yesterday now has a cough 😬 I’m hoping her test comes back negative, because otherwise I suspect DD and I will have to self-isolate. And then the wedding will be off.

It’s going to be a very stressful few days... I don’t think we’ll be confident that it can go ahead until everyone wakes up well on Wedding day morning 😂

Wolfcub · 11/09/2020 14:37

Oh no Love, hopefully it's just back to school colds and not cv. I think I'd be disinclined to see or pick up anyone for the next week to limit any potential track and trace impacts

Lovemaltesers · 11/09/2020 14:47

You’re right there wolf . No trips to restaurants or anywhere collecting details for track and trace either. Just the problem of going into four schools though 😂

Unescorted · 11/09/2020 17:13

love it was bad enough going to one school this week.

The school / now public bus was so empty this week because of their pay a year in advance with no guarantee of a seat policy that we are now able to buy weekly tickets and the kids will be given priority. I think we will still drive him over, but it is good to know we have options.

sing that sounds so positive. Well done you!

Sea is it just me or do queues more more slowly in the covid era and slower still when you have to pick a small up and cutting it tight for time?

wolf I hope this weekend is better for you so you can recharge and get some rest.

SnugglySnerd · 11/09/2020 18:11

We are back in lockdown next week. No meeting up with other households at all. Hopefully not for too long.

anorangeaday · 11/09/2020 18:22

I’ve actually managed to do an early post for once. The DC are watching the highway rat so I can have some time to myself. We did initially try to watch stick man but it doesn’t seem to be free on prime anymore :(. I’m so happy the week is over, I really enjoyed the slower pace of life lockdown so it’s been really difficult getting into the swing of things.

I will check reasties threads out life, I was on the thread when pregnant with DD and spent a fortune.

snuggly I’ll have a look at the works, I’m shopping at the weekend and I think there’s one open near me.

Oh dear love I hope the test is negative!

It is the same here snuggly I’m confused though, can we still go shopping, restaurants etc and see our bubbles?

NSD.

Wolfcub · 11/09/2020 19:35

Does anyone have Gok's easy Asian book? I'm quite tempted

SingToTheSky · 11/09/2020 19:44

Orange have you looked on iPlayer? Some of the other Julia Donaldson ones are on there.

Aw thanks unescorted :) one way or another I will get some confidence back!

SingToTheSky · 11/09/2020 19:44

Really sorry about the local lockdowns BTW :( horrible it’s going backwards

ememem84 · 11/09/2020 20:22

Stick man is on iPlayer. I know this because we watched it three times today.

Spends: £39.50 nails. £60 something on shoes for ds - pair in clarks and a pair of high tops and some wellies on next. £24 waterstones on two more Julia Donaldson books (zog and the snail and the whale) and “where’s mrs unicorn” for Dd.

£14 accessorize for socks for me (a “weve got time to kill let’s look in this shop” spend. I did need invisible socks though for brogues...)

Dh is currently building the new cabinet from next. On a Friday night. Sigh. We used to be cool.

AdoraBell · 11/09/2020 20:33

£6.40 on coffee and cake with DD2. DH paid £2,870 on student rent. Because DD2 was shafted by the bloody algorithm she went through clearing and ended up in private halls. They want the rent in advance despite maintenance loans being paid in October. DH is not happy. It will obviously be payed back when she gets her loan.

Frugal win, after DH got his coffee, he joined us after getting his hair cut, another barista brought a coffee over. He’d had a few abusive customers and when DH said -I’ve already got my coffee- he said - sod it, you can have another one, so I had that 😀

SnugglySnerd · 11/09/2020 22:41

orange the rules here say different households cannot meet in homes or private gardens which I think means we could still meet friends at the park or for a walk or something. Loads of Julia Donaldaons on iplayer.

I've spent the evening Christmas shopping online. I have made a good dent in it now Smile

Bornlazy · 12/09/2020 07:00

I honestly can't keep up with the rules anymore. The area where I live was put into lock down at the beginning of the week with tighter restrictions for all of Scotland announced on Thursday. The bit that makes no sense for us is that we can still meet in a pub or restaurant but not in a house (during this stage of lockdown ). Visiting in hospitals is back to essential visits only which is very, very hard for patients and their families 😨 I think most people will bend the rules - that's if they can even understand the rules in the first place 🙈

Spends yesterday were £73 Morrison's and £29 Tesco. Not planning on spending anything today.

Love fingers crossed for a negative result.
