How amazing is Fletcher from EWFL????

Anorange welcome delurkers are always welcome.

I thought Fletcher was fab too! Microwaved frittata though! Envy

Welcome newcomers and returnees.

Nsd.

SnugglySnerd · 08/09/2020 22:29

^^ not envy btw!

toiletpaper · 09/09/2020 00:10

@ememem84

That’s my thinking tp if I hate it grow it out. I dyed it pink over lockdown and figured if I hated it or ruined the bleached blonde bits at the ends it could always be chopped out.
Ooh nice! This is mine atm, I've been every colour under the sun the last couple of years, thank god for bleach Grin

Lovely hair Em and TP

The whole ewfl family was fab and the frittata was grim. I loved that the kids didn't like it either. If Greg has tried to hold my nose I'd have blacked his eye.

ememem84 · 09/09/2020 06:48

Microwave frittata?! As in Spanish frittata egg and potatoes?! Ew. I mean if I’m in a pinch I’ll microwave scrambled eggs. Or even do “fried” eggs in the microwave. But frittata needs a pan. And love.

Been out for a run. Autumn is definetly upon us.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/09/2020 06:55

Lovemaltesers · 09/09/2020 12:24

Our back garden wedding reception is going to be illegal Sad unless there are only six of us. Ahhh!

Wolfcub · 09/09/2020 12:27

Love I thought the guidance said wedding were ok

Lovemaltesers · 09/09/2020 12:37

But we were going to have the reception in a private home, not at a Covid secure venue wolf. So the six people only will apply to that. I think the ceremony itself will be fine as that is at a Covid secure venue .

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/09/2020 12:38

I read it as weddings fine but reception not really covered as yet in the guidance

Lovemaltesers · 09/09/2020 12:41

On the plus side, I will get my very minimal fuss wedding 😂

Wolfcub · 09/09/2020 13:37

Ah bugger. Sorry Love

DS party now cancelled £30 refund to come

Unescorted · 09/09/2020 18:30

Love that sucks. I just want the whole thing to be back to normal... not New Normal which is as far from normal as it is possible to be.

Eggs in microwaves is not good.

Today has been so busy - I don't know how single parents manage. I have dashed from meeting to meeting, thrown myself out the door to taxi Ds to and from school. At one point our department's moderation committee were all listening to me pick the boy up from school because they forgot to send a scheme to me to assess. DS was a bit bemused to be asked how school was by a committee of people. They were impressed by his mental arithmetic.

anorangeaday · 09/09/2020 19:57

Thank you for welcoming me everyone that’s very kind of you. NSD today but it will be a hefty day tomorrow as I need to get some winter clothes for the DC.

wolf are you holidaying abroad or in this country? I’d really like to go away next year some time but I’m not sure if I’m ready for it

Your hair looks lush em

tp Your colour is so vibrant are you naturally fair or do you bleach?. I’m naturally dark haired and I really want some colour but I’m a bit too scared of bleach to do it

love when is your wedding? Is their a possibility that the law will change by the time it comes around for you? It’s so shit though, I’m sorry 💐

Wolfcub · 09/09/2020 20:06

Parents or teens/hungry growing kids what goes in a packed lunch in your house? We have always done school dinners because a) I haven't the time (ds will be making his own b) he's a bottomless pit and it will cost me a fortune. But Covid really means dinners are going to be out and I can't work out what the right a amount to allow him to have is.

To put that in context he's got to a healthy weight and figure in lockdown having sensible food at home I can keep a weather-eye on but I know he's got that constant teen hunger thing and doesn't do well at all when Hangry

SnugglySnerd · 09/09/2020 20:18

TP your hair is fab!

Sorry Love. How long is it until your wedding now? You never know, things might change again.

Nsd but I realise I have nowhere near enough masks so about to order some more.

AdoraBell · 09/09/2020 20:21

£6 on coffee and cake with DD2. She looked at things for Uni but didn’t make a decision.

Lovemaltesers · 09/09/2020 21:35

10 days. If only we had organised it for this weekend instead 😫 It was always a risky thing to plan in the current climate.

ememem84 · 09/09/2020 21:54

When I was a kid wolf a fave in my pack up was cold chicken nuggets pitta salad and humous. Sounds odd. But is yummm.

Watched ewfl. That tortilla though?! Nice family.

Outfit picked for tomorrow. I’m taking office casual to the limit tomorrow. Sunflower yellow skinny trousers. Black tshirt tucked in front. And either black wedges or leopard print flatties.

I have a feeling it may raise some eyebrows. But it’s simple. Looks fairly chic (I think) and the yellow trousers are ace! No clients are allowed in so I don’t really see the issue with being a bit more business casual. Office workers amongst us. How would this go down where you are?

SnugglySnerd · 09/09/2020 21:55

Oh Love that's such bad luck Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/09/2020 06:29

My office would not bat an eyelid but we have no dress code. I think fine for non client facing

Have you got a flask wolf? Pasta and cheese, tomato soup, crisp sandwich.
I normally do Crips, apple, chopped veg or winder thing, choc biscuit, drink. For 10/12 yr old
Tend to snack as soon as school done then dinner.
