Yes please sea.
I know but it's a pure breed Collie. Cheap compared to my research. If only the rescue centres will get back to is bit they keep refusing us

Wolfcub · 14/10/2020 19:45

Life I've been looking at puppies too I'm getting nowhere with rescues.

Ordered ds some Lego and a new vacuum essentially for upstairs as I can't carry the Dyson up and downstairs but also potentially decorating may have killed my Dyson so if it can't be fixed it's for all over

£20 joiner. £100 carpet fitter

Happierwithouthim · 14/10/2020 19:46

@Unescorted wow super frugal. I couldn't do what you're doing and hold out on central heating. I've mine on for an hour in the evenings the days dc are home and I just light a fire at about 5pm if I'm home at weekend without them.

Mrsmad enjoy the advent calendar I'm not into beauty so it would be wasted on me!!!

Em what a disaster with the boots, most shops check at the till to avoid that situation

Ooh life how exciting

Christmas we're interested in your shopping frugal or not & I for one definitely interested in cookie recipe

Happierwithouthim · 14/10/2020 19:49

Rescues here expect dogs to live indoors

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/10/2020 19:50

My heating has been on last couple of days during the day.

Big hugs pumpkin Flowers

Annoying isn't it. I do work full time but a doggo would not suffer due to this. Gah

Happierwithouthim · 14/10/2020 20:00

Oh I forgot that clause too

My lovely doggy is lonely but I'm hoping with extra freedom outdoors in next spot this will change

ChristmasSeacow · 14/10/2020 20:36

Sorry to your about your loss Pumpkin Flowers

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 14/10/2020 20:38

I've liked a fb page called rescuing European animals in need REAN and they seem to have loads of puppies... I'm so glad I got my dog when I did as the cost of puppies has gone through the roof 😳 We also went through the puppy route after having no luck with rescues, I'm glad we did tbh as it def helped knowing where he came from and the fact he was born into a normal home environment. That said I didn't know about the Romanian ones then!

All fine here, had a busy day off today, spent £55 in Aldi which is better than last week!

ChristmasSeacow · 14/10/2020 20:38

Just remembered that my parents paid £200 for a pedigree dog in 1985, so £700 is probably quite good!

Unescorted · 14/10/2020 21:08

Pumpkin I am so sorry to hear that. Keep well and come back when you are ready.

Well trained / pedigree collies are not cheap. They are working dogs around here and a well bred one is thousands.

Lovemaltesers · 14/10/2020 21:16

Sorry to hear that pumpkin Flowers

ememem84 · 14/10/2020 21:42

happier it was an online purchase so no till as such! I’ve had a response though. Theyve said they need to see evidence they’re different sizes.

Mrsmadevans · 14/10/2020 22:20

Thank you Happier l am looking forward to the surprises, also it will be between myself and my Daughter Grin she wants all the nail varnish and the make up stuff , l want the wrinkle creams Grin
Sea those cookies sound yummy Smile
Pumpkin ahh that is horrible for you all , take care of yourself too Flowers
Em that is good that they have replied , sounds encouraging Smile
Talking about dogs, there is a local dog rescue centre to me called Brecon Dog Rescue and they have no dogs in for rehoming and as soon as they announce a rescue available they are reserved. It has never been like this the whole time l have known of them.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2020 06:43

These are bred from farm dogs so are working stock. Not sure. Want a dog but with moving money. Is tight..

£7 skate park for next Sunday

SnugglySnerd · 15/10/2020 07:12

Sorry to hear your news Pumpkin, take care.

I'm a bit behind with the thread. I'm sure it's only a couple of days since I posted! I would like a duvet day today. No such luck!

Happierwithouthim · 15/10/2020 08:44

My two cents on it life is that you've enough on and to wait until you move, but I spent quite a long time waiting for moving to get a dog and then got one as it was needed to settle dc. That was mid Aug and then house sold and I'd to find somewhere that could take dog to rent. And it was more pressure. However you don't have that issue but it's another thing to have to find time for.

Mrsmadevans · 15/10/2020 09:04

Life like you said they are from a working dog background. I know you really want a dog . I hope you find one soon 🤗
Off to MumBobs, taking Mum for Diabetic review , tip first, have a lovely day everyone 😀

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2020 09:47

£60 bloody parking fine.

ChristmasSeacow · 15/10/2020 10:12

Tier 2 restrictions for London from Saturday, bbc says. Looks as though it will be an outdoor birthday lunch for my sisters after all. I’m feeling very sad that I can’t take DD to the cafe with her friend after ballet, it’s the highlight of her week. I think it’s the small things I missed most in lockdown and it’s all coming round again Sad.

I’m a bit Envy of all the dog chat. Love dogs but it’s not on the cards for us, practically. I hope
You find one Life. When are you likely to move house?

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2020 10:25

Dunno waiting for survey results.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2020 10:25

Rubbish on T2 change

CamdenLurker · 15/10/2020 10:35

Sorry to hear you news pumpkin Thanks

Bad news about London sea I'm just outside and although we don't have to face these tougher measures our county council are calling for it.

Parking fines are the pits, can you pay it early life and get a discount?

I'm at work (in London) and it's absolutely dire, there's hardly anyone and nothing to do, it's gonna be a long day!

Just spent £40 on revision books for dd1, annoyingly the ones ds2 had in 2018 are for different texts/topics so we can't reuse those, I don't think he even looked at them!

CamdenLurker · 15/10/2020 10:36

Mrs I've had the no7 calendar the last two years and it's really good, there's usually a right red lipstick and nail polish (very Christmasy) great idea to share it with dd.

Happierwithouthim · 15/10/2020 11:32

We've also had more strict restrictions put into place from tonight. No visitors to your household except to care for someone. This will be in place until Nov 10th, just after ds's birthday. He just wanted to have two friends over as he knew a party wouldn't be an option.

I'll see what the parents think, they're mingling in school anyhow.
