Afternoon everyone Smile
Been bloomin busy today , Took Mum for her Flu jab , she was fine after, then Dh & l had ours this afternoon in Boots. I think they are ery short on the vaccines because a lady came in asking when we were there and the pharmacist said there was only limited stock and to call in a few weeks Shock
£10 spend in Morrisons for a takeaway for tonight, didn't feel like cooking Smile
Born l am so sorry your relative has died from Covid, that is awful for you , it is getting too close to home Flowers As for the not knowing what the restrictions are l get you completely it is so confusing! Hmm
Happier that is such a brilliant tip re poached eggs thank you l must be thinck because l didn't think of doing that ! Sounds like you really enjoyed yourselves with your friend, it so does us good to chew the cud with a good friend Smile
Unescorted the weather has gone here too, it is getting so dark early, l think l am going to hate the dark nights Hmm
Wolf that is brilliant you have done so much and your washing too! Grin

ememem84 · 12/10/2020 17:26

Scrap that re naps. No idea how dh got Dd to nap. But she didn’t want to do it today. Dparents took her for a drive. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Paid off credit card. Yay!

And paid my therapists bill. Yay.

Dinner with dparents shortly. Just waiting for dh to finish work.

Happierwithouthim · 12/10/2020 18:48

€22.97 in Dunnes went in for a birthday card & kilmeaden cheddar snack bars for ds(forgot in main shop) and baby bel for dd and figured I may as well use my €5 off €25 got clothes pegs & 5 Cadbury multipacks for €5 & will put away for Halloween

€1.75 on a mask as I forgot mine

€38 diesel before it goes up in tomorrow's budget and €8 on a car wash as windscreen was so grimy I couldn't clear it, work hazard as it's a dusty atmosphere will park in a diff spot tomorrow to try save the cleanliness for a few days!

Exchanged jeans in Penneys for bigger size. Girl in exchanges says they're small fitting everyone is returning them Grin

Mrsmadevans it's the only way I cook them now, yummy!
Although I'd boiled eggs this morning because I cooked them at home left them in their shells wrapped in a tea towel until I got to work Smile

Accidentalaccountant · 12/10/2020 19:26

Petrol 25. Dog food 17 . Small top up 13. Seems like nothing and yet 55 gone. As if by magic

SnugglySnerd · 12/10/2020 20:27

The lovely warm sunny weather was short-lived!

I was very anxious last night and this morning about what the new rules might be but it seems we are staying the same here at the moment - we already can't mix in homes or gardens. Hopefully we will still be able to do a couple of nice things at half term, if I haven't caught it by then.

V spendy last night ordering xmas gifts and a load of craft stuff for Halloween and Christmas. I wnt the dcs to have plenty to keep them busy on wet days as we can't go anywhere indoors!

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/10/2020 20:56

Doesn't seem hugely different except for very high when pubs shut.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/10/2020 20:57

£32 Sainsbury's as for last of shopping when went in for free flu jab

northender · 12/10/2020 21:48

But snuggly, now you can do rule of 6 in private gardens, so our restrictions have actually eased (Tier 2)! Bizarre. I guess they are assuming there won't be much mixing in gardens as it's too cold, either that or government ministers have shares in chiminea or patio heater companies!!

SnugglySnerd · 12/10/2020 21:54

Can we?? I have no idea, I am so confused. We have been in weird semi-lockdown for weeks but Birmingham hasn't been mentioned in the news for ages.

Really tired, hope I sleep better tonight...

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/10/2020 06:31

It appears we have moved to teir 2 now.
We go. Outside in all weathers. A bit of winter won't matter.

Wolfcub · 13/10/2020 06:36

Our restrictions have eased too in tier 2, thank goodness

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/10/2020 06:46

Insta pot yes or no? Currently £60 on prime day

Wolfcub · 13/10/2020 06:49

I say yes

Happierwithouthim · 13/10/2020 07:41

I never use mine, I'm going to sell it. Postage would be prohibitive though to send it to you life

Unescorted · 13/10/2020 08:02

Insta pot - Yes. I use mine most days in winter.

We are still in Tier 1 - but have T2 authorities on 3 sides... all within a couple of miles. These are all areas where the supermarkets are.... If they get more restrictions and we can't travel into them and the delivery drivers can't drive out what do we do for food? That is asked in the spirit of forward planning for a worst case not Chicken Likin.

apumpkinaday · 13/10/2020 08:34

Hope you’re all okay, sorry I haven’t been on. We’ve had some bad news in the family and am just spending some time processing and caring for another family member. I may not post as much but didn’t want to drop off and not tell you

Happierwithouthim · 13/10/2020 08:36

Mind yourself pumpkin and family member.

Happierwithouthim · 13/10/2020 08:37

I gifted the boy whose birthday it was a set I bought years ago of meccano type stuff and put away for ds!

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/10/2020 08:39

Take care pumpkin

Bornlazy · 13/10/2020 13:21

Sorry to hear that pumpkin take care.

Thanks Mrs it wasn't someone I was close to but it does bring it that bit closer to home and of course her immediate family are left devastated.

Happier I'm sure my loft has a few presents up there that have fallen behind something or are out of reach (only partially floored) god knows what I'll find when we eventually empty it to convert it.

Unescorted it's bizarre isn't it. I think that's part of the reason that people won't adhere to it the way they did the first time around. There are so many loopholes and bits that make no sense 🤷🏻‍♀️

Prime day today I haven't bought anything yet ...

Unescorted · 13/10/2020 14:13

Pumpkin look after yourself. xxx

I knew there was a reason for not starting my present shopping until Christmas Eve.... I would just forget that I had it.

Bornlazy · 13/10/2020 15:27

Heads up. Amazon are doing a £10 bonus for prime customers if you top up £100

Mrsmadevans · 13/10/2020 17:55

Oh Pumpkin l am so sorry that is awful for you l hope everything turns out ok Flowers
Born yes of course, they must be broken hearted Flowers
I can't get the 10 off 100 top up , l might be missing a trick here not unusual for me Grin
Unescorted it is mixed up like pigs guts as my Nan used to say!
I don't know what the hell is going on here but we are in Monmouthshire which is thankfully only 30 cases per 100000 but that could change at any time l know.
Dh feels a bit under the weather, he hasn't had a Flu jab before and l think its from that . He is ok though , did him a cuppa and 2 paracetamols and he said he feels a bit better Smile
Anyone else had that l wonder. I have been having them for years but never had a reaction.
So l had to do MumBob myself this morning , they were ok , it helped they had a dinner from yesterday left over but do you think l could find Mum's teeth anywhere? I should have realised ......they were under the bed Grin
I bought a Fire 7inch £29.99 from Amazon, nothing else but am on the lookout Grin

ememem84 · 13/10/2020 18:57

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/10/2020 19:19
