AHH bless your DD they all do that Em 🤗
That is brilliant it works l have always wondered thank you for sharing this with us 🤗

ememem84 · 09/10/2020 15:27

I’ve been for a few issues mrs stress and sleep problems but the physical issues (muscle pain) is the one where it’s most noteable it works.

Unescorted · 09/10/2020 17:01

Pumpkin she appears to be settling in... 2nd day of radio silence except to say that she has had much better offers for the weekend than her aged parents. sea I think she may have found some non twatish ones now.

I need to work out how to keep warm outside in the pissy rain. I am meeting with some friends to plan what we are doing for Christmas at the food bank. 2 of the people are really nervous about meeting indoors. I think I will fill a hot water bottle and put it in my rucksack. Grin

Em I know how your DD feels.

It sounds excellent, my Dd2 has a terrible neck and shoulder ache from working from home for 6 months , she has a good office chair and a desk and takes breaks but our stuff doesn't compare to the equipment they use in her work. I will tell her about it thankS EM
Mrsmadevans · 09/10/2020 17:13

Unescorted that is wonderful, you must feel so happy knowing she is making friends Smile ahhh she will be fine l am sure Star
As for the cold in the rain, have you put your thermals on? I am not joking and l probably am showinf my age now but they don't half make a difference. I wear a thermal vest & leggings and a pair of heat holders socks . They are excellent Grin

Mrsmadevans · 09/10/2020 17:25

Forgot my spends, Lidl £24.01, their weekend offers are excellent , this week their brilliant blond shampoo John Frieda copies were down to 49p! Formil super conc Bio washing liquid down to 1.29. I have the app and use it every time l go , the best bit is they have a scratch card at the end of your shop. I won 25p last week of a £25 shop Grin

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 09/10/2020 18:47

I've just spent £135 on a new rug in Dun Elm, it's the last spend on the living room (other than the outstanding balance for my new flooring but that's not due until Dec.) Used my savings.

This month is going to be so tight money wise.

Work was manic today, so glad it's Friday.

Your dd is so cute em!

maddenlightfoot · 09/10/2020 19:56

What a scrumptious Dd em! Clearly a very stubborn lady!

Confession: long, stressful week + M&S = £60 on booze, snacks and ice-cream. So indulgent that the cashier even commented that I must have a fun weekend ahead planned Blush

SnugglySnerd · 09/10/2020 20:14

Mrs what are heat holder socks and where do I buy them please? I have permanently cold feet, these sound amazing!

Lidl this morning for top up shop. I only needed a few things but somehow ended up buying Hallowen fairy lights and witchy chocolate lollies in the centre aisle of doom then I saw they have the first few Christmas treats in. For the last couple of years we have bought a Christmas treat weekly and added it to a box, the idea was to spread the cost but actually it is a lovely way to build excitement for Christmas too and means we always have stand by emergency gifts to hand! Anyway I bought stolen bites and leberkuchen hearts to start us off.

Very tired tonight. I seem to have been rushing about all day. Hopefully will stay awake for HIGNFY then bed...

ememem84 · 09/10/2020 20:16

Stubborn like her mother. She’s s not sleeping.

SnugglySnerd · 09/10/2020 20:16

*stollen! I didn't nick them!!

apumpkinaday · 09/10/2020 20:41

Hi all! I’ve had a lovely day today, finished work for the week then got home and decided to take DC to the park. I’m not sure if I have said before but I live a couple of roads away from my childhood home and I’ve never shown the DC it so I decided to walk past it on the way to the park. It was lovely and brought back lots of memories, I called Dmom and we had a laugh reminiscing. I also got some popcorn and popped on a film for me and the DC, we’ve been so busy lately and my heads been all over the shop so I thought I’d treat us to something nice!. DM has also bought DD a bunk bed! She’s so happy, she won’t be sleeping on the top bunk for a good while yet (although it is only a mid sleeper), but she’s wanted one for ages so her dolls and teddies can have their own bed to sleep in. We built it after school and she is over the moon! Her and her teddies are all tucked in. DS now has DD’s old bed which is bigger than his toddler bed so he’s very happy about it!

Awh your DD sounds adorable sea, I’m glad you managed to get a good nights sleep last night.

Sorry to hear you didn’t sleep well snuggly, it seems like a lot of us aren’t sleeping the best lately.

wolf I don’t know how you find the energy to do all that to your house! I can barely hoover without needing to sit down

Your DD is beautiful em! I hope she sleeps better tonight

That’s great to hear she’s settling in well unescorted

Wolfcub · 09/10/2020 21:05

£108 dinner. It was totally worth it. I do not intend to cook anything other than breakfasts this weekend so it'll add up. Sunday is reserved for fish and chips as dps will be here too as they are staying nearby.

Holiday house is bloody gorgeous, I couldn't live here the layout would do me in but it feels a bit luxe compared to our little terrace

Unescorted · 09/10/2020 21:26

I am cooooooold. I had thermals, feathers, woolly hat and hotwater bottle. But one of the peeps always feels the cold so badly so I gave her the hot water bottle.

Snuggly that is a fab idea. I might have to start a Christmas cupboard. Lidl do really good Christmas treats.... one of the few things I miss about commuting to Manc.

Still no word from my little flea. I am happy for her but I miss her. DS is quite bereft too.

SnugglySnerd · 09/10/2020 21:42

Thanks Mrs, I've just got into bed but I need a couple of other things off Amazon so I might order some tomorrow.

Wolfcub · 09/10/2020 21:42

Omg Lidl Christmas treats unescorted I bloody love them. I've normally done my Xmas stocking shop in Lidl and Wilcos by now. Need to get organised

Wolfcub · 09/10/2020 21:43

Glad all the teenage frugal children are settling well into their new lives

Mrsmadevans · 09/10/2020 22:07

You're very welcome Snuggly have a lovely relax Smile
Wolf l share your happiness that the frugal teens are doing fine Smile
Unescorted Me too my Dd2 will soon be gone forever and no booze to cheer us up with Flowers

northender · 09/10/2020 22:11

Really glad it's the weekend. It's been a hard week at work.
Loving listening to Gary Davies on Radio 2 going through the top 40 80s albums, sheer nostalgia.
Ds made tea, chicken fajitas, was lovely
Just spent £100 on wifi booster gadget and contemplating £15 on a Joseph Joseph toothbrush caddy for the electric toothbrushes which really piss me off when they are stood precariously on the edge of the sink.
Going out tomorrow for breakfast & then out for Sunday lunch with dparents before inevitable closure of all bars and restaurants next week.

SnugglySnerd · 10/10/2020 07:11

North in my experience Joseph Joseph stuff is well worth the money. I have a garlic crusher and speed peeler and they make cooking so much easier and more pleasurable, they are really well-designed. I know what you mean about the balancing electric toothbrushes - I keep mine on the window sill so it doesn't keep getting knocked into the sink but it falls over often.

Another rubbish night, second night running I've women up needing the loo and jot been able to get back to sleep for ages. Is this just what happens at my age?!

Ordered Christmas bath bombs from Lush for the dcs' stockings last night and couldn't resist a Halloween one too. I think I am over compensating a bit for the lack of normal Haloween fun this year!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 10/10/2020 08:35

Snuggly it seems to be the norm for me now 😕 I was rudely awoken by the dog throwing up Ystd morning at 5.30 🤢 I used to be able to go straight back to sleep but really struggle now, I keep a little bottle of lavender oil by my bed and put a few drops on my pillow if I'm really desperate for sleep!!

Plan today is to see my dad, he tells me there is something going on in his village and we've not been over there in a really long time so it was a good excuse to see them. I need petrol and might stop at a discount village on the way back, it's my brothers 40th next week and I've still not got him anything.

Enjoy your break wolf at least the weather is better than last wend (it is here anyhow!)

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/10/2020 10:32

Enjoy your trip wolf.
I've got the Joseph toothbrush thing and the soap dishes. Both great.

£14 skatepark for next week.

Unescorted · 10/10/2020 10:48

My joseph bread board set still makes me smile. It was a wedding present 19 years ago.

She rang.... !!!! bunting has been put out. We are eying up the chickens next door for the village celebration. The alternative is the next door but one's children, but with the aging population here we would soon run out if becomes a weekly ritual.
Best run with chooks... we can always upgrade to lambs and goats in her final year.
