Great news on the promotion unescorted!

Brilliant news about the pay rise north!

Thank you mrs, it should be fine soon but I’ve been eating a bit rubbish lately so will nip that in the bud

girlie I think mary berry has a nice recipe for rice pudding if that’s any help!

I’m off to bed now, goodnight all

ememem84 · 08/10/2020 07:09

I attended a virtual seminar the other morning. Sat and watched via my work computer with headphones in. Usually these are held in posh hotels and include a wonderful pastry breakfast buffet. Sad times. Bloody Covid ruining my free breakfasts. I actually had to listen to the seminar too

Dd was a monkey last night. Refused to sleep again. Only another 14 days or so of this...according to wonder weeks.

Bornlazy · 08/10/2020 07:35

Morning everyone have mostly been working and sleeping since Saturday so haven't posted, but I'm off now until next Wednesday thankfully.

north great news on negative test I can't help but feeling this is going to be happening more and more often. Good Luck to your dh in his new job.

Unescorted congratulations on the promotion 🎉. You must be relieved that dd has found people she likes I'm sure she'll find plenty more.

Pumpkin love your decorations. You put so much effort into making things fun for your dc I'm sure you more than make up for any lack of attention from ex.

Girlie unfortunately I'm an expert in high calorie eating as almost everything I like falls into that bracket 🙈 I would give her lots of cheese - baked potatoes with lots of butter and cheese just like the one I had for lunch yesterday, macaroni with chips, pizza, cheesy garlic bread... Does she drink coffee? My ds went through a stage of drinking coffee made with milk or what about fresh orange with breakfast to add some extra calories. For an easy pudding that is hugely calorific either boil condensed milk to make caramel or buy a tin of it ready made and buy ready made pastry cases to make caramel shortcake or banoffee pie.

SnugglySnerd · 08/10/2020 11:48

Girlie I used to make rice pudding for ds when he was really poorly as a baby and had lost lots of weight. It was the he's idea and he loved it. I used to bung the ingredients (pudding rice, sugar, butter and milk/cream) in the slow cooker which was easy. He liked it with raisins sprinkled on or with pear slices cooked in butter (more calories!) and cinnamon. I might make him some soon actually, I'd forgotten he liked it.

SnugglySnerd · 08/10/2020 11:50

To be clear it was the health visitor's idea, not his idea - that would have been impressive for a 9 month old Grin

ememem84 · 08/10/2020 13:41

£27 sushi place with dh for lunch. It’s a dangerous place because you grab from the conveyor belt so so easy to rack up a high cost!!!

£45 paperchase on presents for kids parties on Saturday and some notebooks for me.

Lovemaltesers · 08/10/2020 16:03

sea I’ve sent you a pm

Crazy days here at work at the moment.

I’ve had a potential Covid exposure notification from the nhs app as has DH. It’s made me nervous! But we’re meant to just carry on.

Mrsmadevans · 08/10/2020 16:47

Unescorted · 08/10/2020 19:50

I came on to do a post this morning - typed it all and everything. Then I got distracted by work and now it has gone...

Riis Taarte - I put on weight just typing it out. Rice pudding with extra calories baked in a tart.

love hope it is a false alarm.

I haven't heard from DD today - so I think she is settling in. We had planned on a parental intervention if she was still miserable, but she has plans for the weekend according to the text she sent her brother. I guess we will be seeing her in 8 weeks.

AdoraBell · 08/10/2020 20:27

Fingers crossed for you Love

£4.50 on coffee.
£30 on a Boots order. That will come out from my account on Monday.

Tomorrow will be spendy, sending a care package to DD2. I’ve tried to reduce the weight to keep postage down.

Couldn't resist showing you 😍

Unescorted · 08/10/2020 20:41

Adora hope she is recovering.

Mrs that is soooooooooooooo cute!

Mrsmadevans · 08/10/2020 20:46

Unescorted l know l HAD to share it with us 🤗💗😍

Mrsmadevans · 08/10/2020 20:49

Unescorted that Riis Tartte sounds delicious and very very fattening 😂😂😂😋😋😋

apumpkinaday · 08/10/2020 21:08

Sorry about the lack of sleep em!

Thank you born that’s so sweet of you! It’s really made my day.

I hope you don’t have any symptoms love, that’s very stressful💐

mrs vegan Ben and Jerry’s sounds great! I usually get vegan dairy products (well I suppose they aren’t dairy but you know what I mean) as dairy makes me break out. I never have ice cream because of it so I might get some!

How are you finding it with DD at uni unescorted?

We watched Madagascar today, the kids love king Julian😂. We also did some Halloween crafts and then walked over the woods, they have little fairy houses in the trees so we tried to spot as many as we could. The kids are in bed now, I’ve settled down with a cup of tea and hopefully tonight I’ll get more sleep

ememem84 · 08/10/2020 21:09

Uh oh Covid!!! Fingers crossed for a negative.

Dd went to sleep at 830’ which is the earliest all week. Still a lot of screaming and fussing. But we’re getting there. Fussing was shorter at least.

apumpkinaday · 08/10/2020 21:09

Aww that’s adorable mrs!🥰

Lovemaltesers · 08/10/2020 21:16

Looking into it, may just be a test notification or something. Neither of us have had anything else almost 24 hours later so 🤷‍♀️

Mrsmadevans · 08/10/2020 21:29

Love hope it is that Flowers
I know Pumpkin isn't it gorgeous Smile Dd1 loves B & J Smile

ChristmasSeacow · 08/10/2020 23:03

Love there has been a glitch with it - I think lots of people have been getting a brief (and disappearing) exposure notification in error. Did your message disappear?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/technology-54389083

(Got your pm - thanks for flagging, I’m hopeless at noticing I have a PM!)

Glad DD is too busy to call you, Unescorted. There are some posh twats about but there are loads of interesting lovely people too (and even some overlap between those groups Wink). Might just take a bit of getting out and about to find her tribe though - and that’s hard at the moment, which probably doesn’t help. No news is good news 🤞🏻

Adora are yours doing okay, twattish exes notwithstanding?

I love the badger, I’ll show DD tomorrow, she’ll
Love it! Though I did regret showing her a murmuration of starlings on YouTube, she’s been pestering me for it several times a day ever since HmmGrin

I reeeeeaaaalllly needed that good sleep last night. I was a new woman today. Conference was okay. I’m not working tomorrow but need to do a little bit of work, including trying to call IT ‘help’desk to get my work email and calendar working on my phone again. Other than that I need to clean and tidy. House is a tip. And hopefully find time to do a bit of crafting too. I’ve written a list of what I need to make /finish by Christmas and I’m sure it’s not humanly possible Confused

I just went to amend my Ocado delivery and the Christmas slots were open Shock. I am a priority customer (longstanding and spend a fortune) so it might be early access, but there was still nothing for 23-24th - not sure if they’re not open yet or already fully booked. I booked late on 22nd anyway and ordered a turkey through them, and pretty much added everything else I need for the few festive days. I normally just put gin in and amend later but I’m concerned things will sell out early. Fingers crossed I get most of what I need actually delivered! I must say, the Ocado /M&S thing is especially lethal at Christmas with all the special food. I was tempted by a seafood platter but have resisted mini pastry things so far .

SnugglySnerd · 09/10/2020 07:08

I did not sleep well last night. It's going to be a long day!

ememem84 · 09/10/2020 07:33

Up at 130 Dd went straight back to sleep. Up at 5. Dd went straight back to sleep. Awake again at 7.

Accupuncture today then pottering around the house. I was going to take the dc to softplay but ds has 2 parties tomorrow so that’s a lot of excitement.

Mrsmadevans · 09/10/2020 10:26

Morning everyone 😀
Em does acupuncture actually work ? I have always wondered if it's just a thing that makes us feel bette because we think it is working, do you know what I mean? Sorry you had a bad night, hopefully you will get some comfort from the acupuncture. I have always wanted to try it 😀
2parties!! Lucky Ds 😀👏
Sea your DD sounds adorable 😀 😍. Excellent planning re the Ocado slots thank you for the heads up l will do an M&S order to be delivered to Dd2 in Cardiff yay!!
Snuggly strong coffee ☕💐

Wolfcub · 09/10/2020 11:40

Haircut £45
Frame sealant £3
Diesel £35

Going to the seaside for the weekend so will be spendy

Have just sealed all the gaps in the staircase (took 1.5 big things of filler) ready for carpet going down next week.

Need to do a little bit of painting and finish packing. House is a complete bomb site but ds finishes school at 2.30 and we're heading straight off so it'll have to stay that way

ememem84 · 09/10/2020 14:54

mrs yes it does. For my tight muscles I can feel them releasing. Needle goes in and the muscle sparks out. I’ll be a bit sore tomorrow. £56 Accupuncture.

Dd refusing naps today. Except in her high chair.
