Really love the labels howl so cute!

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/08/2020 19:11

Apply and worry about that later sing. That's not a deal breaker imo

Unescorted · 18/08/2020 19:44

Apply and worry later Sing.

Howl they are soooooo cute.

Today's learning experience - how to mend an inner tube, swap pedals and tilt my saddle so it is more comfy. Normally I would get DH or DS, but I want to go out on my toddle. DS advised, but I did. Solo long distance cycling will be in my grasp.

Unescorted · 18/08/2020 19:46

Has anyone seen lonely ? I am worried about her given her job status.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/08/2020 19:48

Ooh no good point @LonelyOversharer where are you......

SnugglySnerd · 18/08/2020 20:05

@lifelongfrugaleer

Apply and worry about that later sing. That's not a deal breaker imo
I agree!

Love the labels Howl and also your dcs have lovely names! Soft play sounds like it would be much nicer like that actually!

ememem84 · 18/08/2020 20:50

howl those labels are cute!!!! Also your kids have beautiful names. You may have not mentioned this but they’re very biblical names. Are you jewish? Leaping into a religion discussion .....

I bought sticky labels for the dc clothes. Just out last name though. Figured I wouldn’t have to switch them out if ds outgrew something and passed it into Dd!

My kitchen cupboard under sink shelf arrived. With a bit of rejigginf I’ve made it fit and thjngs now look tidy. Yay!

I’m on annual leave the next two weeks can’t wait and have grand plans for the house organisation.

I’ve also decluttered our tea towel and dish cloth basket sad all the holey ones have been binned.

Other news our decking is almost done. It was spendy at £5k almost but it won’t need maintenance (only a brush every now and then when it gets dusty won’t go green and slimy and has a 20 year guarantee). Also the guys will be done tomorrow. They started yesterday. The other guys we had quotes from quoted £9k and a week and a half.

This is the difference here between white British companies (the latter quote) and portuguese company’s. Sounds awful saying it but it’s a fact here.

Evening everyone Smile
It has been really busy on here today Smile
I want to thank you all so much for the lovely words of upport and kindnes you show me re caring fr Mum & Bob , it's not easy but no one else will do it and l can't walk away. I just can't.
Anyway ....
Poor DD2 wasn't at all well in the night, she had me up at 5 this morning, l must admit l thought it was Covid when she woke me.
Rang the GP spoke to them , took pics in of her throat, it was very closed . The Uvula was so swollen it was sticking to her tonsils , she kept waking up in the night with it stopping her breathing. I told her to come and tell me straight away if it ever happens again even if she is in her own home. We are only half an hour way. It frightened me to death when l saw it . Anyway , they gave her Penicillin but the strange thing is she didn't have a temp but last time she had tonsillitis she didn't have a temp either, she is a strange one lol. She will be ok now l am sure Smile
l know she is 25 but it doesn't matter how old they are they are still our babies Smile
Oh the Gp told her to go to Acc/Em if it ever happens again so that made me worry all over again Shock

howlathebees · 18/08/2020 21:11

Thank you for the label love, I knew you’d appreciate them!

sing I agree, apply for the job and worry about that later. It seems great!

snuggly I usually hate soft play but it was much quieter and everyone was very cautious so now unsupervised kids. Was much nicer! And thank you :)

em I was raised Christian and my DM read me the bible as a child so a lot of my favourite names came from it. Then we had Jude and Levi (they both have biblical middle names too) and decided for DS3 we’d keep the theme of 4 letters and from the bible so we had Ezra. DS4 will be Saul :). Your decking looks lovely!

mrs God that’s so worrying! I had my tonsils removed when they got to that stage (horrible uvula swelling, I’d swallow it). Could she look into getting them removed?

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 21:15

Howl I'm going to see if we can get them done privately after the Covid risk dies down. I don't care how much it costs it's given me quite a shock , the poor kid. Thank you so much for being so kind 💐🤗
Living the labels too 🤗

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 21:16

Loving 🙄😁

howlathebees · 18/08/2020 21:18

Yes mrs definitely look into it. It’ll save her so much hassle in the long run. I can’t imagine how worrying it was for you, as you say no matter their age they’re still your babies. I hope the penicillin helps and will get her through until she can get them removed❤️

howlathebees · 18/08/2020 21:18

Oh and thank you about the labels! I’ll be sure to let DH know that others appreciate the beauty of labels

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 21:23

They are brilliant ☺️
Thank youHowl re Dd2 it's very worrying no matter how old they are . She will be fine now l know. Some things are worth paying for and our health is definitely number one of those 🤗

SnugglySnerd · 18/08/2020 21:56

Mrs hope the antibiotics do their thing soon. I suffered terribly with tonsillitis from about age 7, several times a year and it is the most miserable thing. So painful. I am always very sympathetic to anyone else who has it. It eventually stopped in my mid-20s. Very strange!

ememem84 · 18/08/2020 22:01

Eugh tonsillitis. Horrific stuff. Intend to get it bad every couple of years. But dr won’t even consider taking them out because it’s not frequent enough. Sigh.

I used to suffer really badly with earache too. That is worse than anything in my opinion. Really bad ear pin leaves me unable to function.

Thanks for all the love re the decking. We made a bold choice going for almost black. But it looks fab. So so pleased with it.

Mrsmadevans · 18/08/2020 22:31

Thank you Wolf, Snuggly & Em
It is funny how it stopped in your 20's Snuggly l hope that happens with my Dd2 Smile
She is ok , managing to drink, had a bit of ice cream , managing to swallow pain killers and antibiotics she has gone to bed now , l made her promise to get me up if she is poorly . I am sure she will be ok tomorrow.
Thank you again so kind of you all Smile
I am off to bed too because l am so tired .
Have a good night sleep everyone Smile

LonelyOversharer · 18/08/2020 23:11

Hi everyone. I dipped out for a bit there. Nothing doing here. Just a bit blue. So skint. So very skint. Job is the same. 4 hours a day, rest furlough, they are assessing us for compulsory redundancy, but I reckon my role is very safe at the moment.

I'm also sick of my clothes all being too tight. Re-downloaded my fitness pal. The last time I was on it I was 60kg and had lost 10.5 Sad - I think its all back on now, but need to shuffle batteries about to fire up the hated garmin scales.

I'm trying not to spend anything except for food, but it's still not enough. I'll be using birthday money for school shoes again this year. Hey ho, that's nothing new.

howl people say horrid, thoughtless things, and especially when pregnant it's like an opinion is ok to be voiced. I had 3xdd's and then got "did you keep trying for a boy" when I had ds. Another memorable one was "taking another dip in the gene pool hmmm" and this woman knew what I'd been through with my ex! Make it a game to see who says "will you try for a girl then?" and how quickly, after you give birth!!

Dd1 got her EPQ (Wtf is this?) result, she got an A and is happy, but some of her class got U's which is unbelievable- but I guess they will have those changed now.

Unescorted · 18/08/2020 23:17

lonely an A for an EPQ is phenomenal well done your DD. Grin Mine didn't even attempt one.
