That's shit curvy. Least the pharmacy can do is ring round for you?

SnugglySnerd · 04/08/2020 16:11

That happened to us at the start of lockdown Curvy, it was just a matter of waiting unfortunately but worth asking other pharmacies.

Wolfcub · 04/08/2020 16:55

£37 new duvet cover in the JL sale. I only have three, two have holes/torn button holes and all are old.

I've also asked for a decorator quote for the staircase, it needs a scaff platform so not something I can do myself even if I could get a platform as I have a massive ladder phobia ** and I'm not steady on my legs at the best of times (Outs self)

Spent £46 on paint yesterday to finish current painting job and £25 on gloss on Sunday

£19 eat out to help out yesterday plus £17 on cakes for dm and df and us as everyone needs a treat

Gr8 news sing!!

I spent £10 2day on sum books 4 the boys. 11 Julia Donaldson books off fb market place. Logan loves the gruffalo film and stickman so thought it’d be a nice Xmas present. I also got a swing set not long ago 4 the boys that came 2say and it’s broken so have had 2 send it back! Rly annoyed

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 04/08/2020 17:50

Well done on calling the bank Sing.

So I went to all the local pharmacies to me and none of them have any in stock, but Boots think that they can get it tomorrow.
It is for her epilepsy and usually when there has been a supply issue we got an alternative, but her consultant doesn't like doing that because it can mess things up for dd2.
She takes 90g of lamotrigine twice a day.
She has 25mg and 5mg ones
We have enough until Friday morning for both doses, if it doesn't get sorted by then, I can dissolve some so that she can have the correct dose.
Did also send a message to her nurse, hopefully she will get back to me by tomorrow.

Spends £23.57 in morrisons on some bits that included picnic bits for tomorrow.
We are going to London for the day with some friends, it will be nice to get out for a bit.

ememem84 · 04/08/2020 18:01

mummy this one

Home. Met dh and the dc on the grass near nursery. Ds ran at me and tackled me to the ground. Haha. Ran about a bit there with him. He’d been on a nursery trip to the beach. Had a fab day. Yay.

I have cleaned out the box of doom. Like the drawer of doom only four times the size.

OP posts:
Unescorted · 04/08/2020 19:54

Could be worse … could be a room of doom.

I had the shock of my life this morning - logged on to do a presentation to a group of people. I thought there would be maybe 10 at the most.... but no 62 of them.

ememem84 · 04/08/2020 20:25

Oh crikey unescorted

SingToTheSky · 04/08/2020 20:40

Wow 😨 that’s a lot of people.

We have several boxes of doom 😳 slowly working through them though.

Mrsmadevans · 04/08/2020 21:58

ememem84 · 04/08/2020 22:06

I have a garage and an under bed of doom. Bed is staying firmly shut (ottoman bed) and garage door shut.

Will get to it one day.

xmummy2princesx · 04/08/2020 22:47

curvy I Hope meds get sorted 4 u x

Thx em will get 1! Glad ur DS had a nice day

I’d crap myself unescorted

I have a cupboard under the stairs of doom!

SnugglySnerd · 05/08/2020 06:20

I hope you can get the medication soon Curvy.

Took the dcs to the posh ice cream shop yesterday. There was a giant queue, they were surprisingly well-behaved. Ice creams are expensive! Even the van costs a tenner if we all have a whippy. These were closer to 20 quid! Delicious though and we don't go very often.

LonelyOversharer · 05/08/2020 07:10

Hey all, odd day yesterday as I slept most of the afternoon which made me wonky last night.

curvy that's nuts. It's not like your dd can do without the meds. Hope Boots come through and you can get someone who understands urgency

wolf I have a whole house of doom. It's my own fault, but does get depressing. There's literally no where I can look and not see a pile of stuff 🙁

I quite like working the mornings. It passes very quickly. But need to be productive in the afternoons, and not sleep!

Did pop to sainsburys yesterday, £41 in store (top up and a few bits) and £32 on fuel, the tank only lasted a week as we went to IKEA. Am missing the tank lasting a month.

LonelyOversharer · 05/08/2020 07:12

snuggly we have the same problem, it's the hazard of a larger family. Even a little treat is expensive.

SingToTheSky · 05/08/2020 08:02

I really sympathise with the house of doom lonely I think we’ve discussed it in threads of yesteryear (under my old names!). Ours was definitely a house of doom. It is improving gradually but it’s really not easy! There are some lovely and understanding decluttering threads if you fancied joining us 💐

I am In A Mood because Cagletini decided to get up and switch the light on at 5.19am 🤬 and then I couldn’t doze off again even when she eventually did.

I’ve been looking at various storage ideas but I’ve become very reluctant to throw money at the problem and it’s making it very hard to decide! But we need to at least make a decision on the wardrobe.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/08/2020 08:09

Thanks all, I've got everything crossed for Boots today.
I also have a house of doom!
I can tidy and then over a course of a few days it goes back to doom!
I think I just need to get rid of stuff, but it is hard, I don't know where to start!

Getting ready for our day out.

Wolfcub · 05/08/2020 08:31

Lonely mine was a house of doom but between being flooded and lockdown meaning I've been removing exes stuff I've made significant progress recently. That box has been staring at me for about six weeks. I've known it's needed doing and I haven't dared touch it

Booked the decorator for the autumn so that gives me another six weeks to finish decorating the attic and office. Need to choose a stair carpet at some point. This one has no underlay. Has been in since before we moved in 13 years ago. Isn't my taste. Is completely uncleanable due to being a frankly stupid texture and is vile. So it's going. That'll be my Christmas present to myself.

Curvy fingers crossed you get sorted today

OP posts:
ememem84 · 05/08/2020 08:49

sing sort one room at a time. You’ve been talking about wardrobe for ages so sort yours out first. Do that. Get things all lovely and the. Work on the next one.

ememem84 · 05/08/2020 08:53

Best email ever!!! The kitchen area at work is open! I can have tea in a proper mug at my desk again!!!! (Also the voss brought donuts!)

Wahooooooo

SnugglySnerd · 05/08/2020 09:03

We have a cupboard of doom in the kitchen which drove us mad until we accepted that this is the cupboard's purpose. It is where we put stuff we need that doesn't belong anywhere else e.g. take away menus, spare allen keys, batteries etc. Every so often (about twice a year) I clear it out and throw away anything really old and unused and reorganise it a bit. Usually at the point when we can't open it without an avalanche of things falling on us! It is actually tidier and more organised than having all these things in lots of random drawers etc, we know where to look for them! Our house isn't very tidy generally but it is mainly toys so I don't see it as a permanent problem, more like a phase. We really do need a bigger house though. We are in a traditional 3 bed semi with a tiny kitchen and a box room and it doesn't really work for 3 dcs and dh who usually works from home (even pre-covid).

SingToTheSky · 05/08/2020 09:50

That’s very true em! I keep procrastinating over big decisions (this being big because money) - but I really do just need to do it and get on with sorting stuff. We’ve got rid of loads in lockdown but the bedroom remains a mess 😳🤣

I will make that my mission to actually make a decision TODAY. Please kick me if I don’t report back on it!!! And enjoy tea and donuts!

£20ish amazon on a towel hook and that sort of thing. I’d forgotten about command strips so I’m getting a few bits that we’ve not been able to put up the traditional way due to the walls. Might also help reduce the doom :o

SingToTheSky · 05/08/2020 09:56

Oh yes and to add up to free delivery I added a bar of my favourite chocolate. Green and Black’s salted milk 😋 (which is seacow’s fault as she introduced me to it 😉💐) I am resisting crappy chocolate and sticking with stuff I really like!

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/08/2020 10:34

I've got an attic of doom. Half sorted half to do.
We are getting a bigger place next year and it will not be moved. I'm quite ruthless otherwise and regularly declutter. Happy to offer my services. Payment in cake please Grin as long as it's calorie free.

Wahoo open kitchen.
